Percy Jackson POV:

I woke up in a bed, and then the memories of what happened the previous week came back to me. 

Flashback

The war was raging on and on, and then I heard Hazel scream. I turned around and saw a Spear in her stomach and Frank lying dead beside her. Frank's piece of wood burned up, and he died. A monster ran at me with an ax, and I ducked.  Then, I trusted Riptide into his flesh, and he implodes into golden dust. Then, I whirled around to fight more monsters, only to see a giant stomp on leo. He sent me one last weak, smile and he fell, dead. I let out a soft cry. There were only 4 of us left. Jason, who was near me, was attacked from behind by Hellhounds as they overwhelmed him. I ran towards to help him, but I was too late. He was dead. Then I heard Piper scream. There was a knife in her back. I ran towards her. 

"Pipes... I am so sorry," I whisper. 

"Percy... it's o-ok. Live for me. Live for all who have fallen," She whispered. We had become close friends, and became a sister to me. 

She fell dead. Annabeth and I were the last ones left until Gaea lifted her up and squeezed the life out of her. 

"I will always l-love you, Seaweed Brain-" She whispered, pain-stricken, and Gaea released, and she fell to the floor, dead. 

She was my everything. The love of my life. Without her... I lost it. The control I once had shattered into nothingness. All the anger  I had been holding back, and I.. lost it. 

"You have lost everyone and everything, Perseus. Your friends have died. Your Girlfriend died. You have no one." Gaea's voice echoed. I then attacked Gaea with everything I had. When I was in Tarturas, I learned something Annabeth never knew. After controlling Nyx's blood, I found myself practicing. I know it's horrifying, but... I had to control it, so I don't hurt my friend or family. Then the other thing that happened; I was cursed with insanity. Tarturas's daughter cursed me with insanity. Now, I am slowly going insane. 

"Mercy, Perseus, please," She had the nerve to beg for mercy. I scoffed. 

"No," The gods stared at me in the horror of what I did. I destroyed Gaea's essence. Then I collapsed in pain as everything that happened came to reality, and everything went black. 

End of Flashback

I looked around the room and noticed Apollo. Apollo realized I was awake and came over. 

"How long was I out?"I asked.

"About a week. You were suffering from heartbreak,"

"That's a real disease?" 

"Pearce, how did you get insanity?" Apollo whispered. 

"I will explain it later,"

"And yes, it's a real disease. Oh, and the Gods want you in the Throne Room,"

"Can it wait?"

"No, and I am sorry about Annabeth,"

"Nothing that could have been done, but let's go," I say sadly. 

"If you're sure,"

We arrived in the Throne Room, and every god and goddess was there.

"Now the meeting can begin," Zeus's voice boomed.
