Chapter 26
"Ah, yes. The space pod." YiYang repeats as if the thought was furthest from his mind. Then, taking out a flat metallic plank the size and shape of his palm, he walks towards the resting pod with two pairs of confounded eyes following his every move. The crown prince enters the pod and looks over his shoulder, "What are you standing there for? Does the resting pod scare you..." he directs his trademark smile, "then again, perhaps it excites you, hum!?" The crown prince wiggles his brows, gesturing them to come closer.
If YiHuang's eyes were capable of shooting bullets, YiYang would be dead. Thankfully, that was not one of the second prince's gifts. "Brother, you find the most inopportune time to bring up things that are none of your business." He says irritable, taking his place next to his brother with Zhang, who had been unusually quiet since entering the establishment, practically plastered to his side.
Ignoring the criticism, the crown prince continues, "Every resting pod in this section of the establishment is connected to a server that is as weakly secured shut as a prostitute's legs."
"Brother!"
"My apologies, Ah-Huang. In my defense, you are adorable when you are angry." He chuckles and leans forward, placing the plank over what looks like a virtual socket. "The code changes every day, but that's not a problem for those who have basic knowledge of the system."
"What is the code for?" The human inquiries just as a clicking sound emanates from the plank.
"Got it!" The crown prince beams, fanning himself with the plank, "It's the emergency exit, obviously." He shrugs, hoping that his reply is explanation enough. It isn't.
"Emergency exit?" YiHuang asks, exchanging a bewildered look with Zhang.
"Oh! Sorry, I just...for a moment, I forgot that you don't get out much." YiYang shrugs, looking amused inside of apologetic, "This establishment is hardly legal so, it's but natural that they have a plan in place for if and when the authorities come to inspect."
The two (almost) pure souls nod, and the knowledgeable one continues, "An escape route of sorts is made available in every rest pod on this floor. The route leads to a holding area. What no one except the architect is aware of is that there is a hidden door in the holding area that leads to an enormous launching bay. That is where the pod is." As the man finishes, he exits the pod, "Sustenance will be here shortly. I will let it in. You two...you two have the resting pod for a bit."
Blood rushes to the younger prince's face, "Brother!"
"This is what one does when they book pods on this floor. It won't bother the staff. I would have made use of it if I were given this chance." YiYang winks shamelessly and practically pushes the two inside the rest pod. "Try to make it sound real." He instructs, pulling the screen closed.
"Brother, we can just proceed with-"
"No, we can't. It will rouse suspicion if all of us are not accounted for and are acting properly." YiYang replies, stretching on the mattress, "This is comfortable." He hums, satisfied, and closes his eyes.
"Your highness, how did you know-"
"Officer Zhang, it's alright if you don't want to use this opportunity, but I would really like you to not bother me."
The room descends into silence.
Inside the resting pod, two restless hearts thump in unison. Since the confession, the two had not had a chance to act on their heart's most primal desires. However, now that they had the time and opportunity to be with each other, both felt awkward. In the dimly lit space that was just enough to fit two and a half Yuanjians, the two men stayed still as rocks, with eyes locked with each other.
"If only...if only..." YiYang sighs from outside. The words reach the two men inside, breaking the stalemate. None knows who makes the first move, but as the lips come together needy and desperate, neither of them cares. It's not important who started it; what was important was that they could finally let their carefully bound restraints go.
YiHuang settles between Zhang's parted legs, his knee wedged close to the part of the human that was hardening by the second. Fingers intertwined, they first make acquaintance with the other's lips thoroughly before diving into their sweetness. As the two breaks for air, Zhang's eyes catch YiHuang's, seeking permission before his hands move swiftly to rid the other of fabrics that were hiding the prince's outermost skin.
A gleam of sweat on the human's temple distracts the young prince, who makes it his business to get rid of it with his tongue and lips. The unexpected touch coils something feral in the human, who arches his back and thrusts his hips up, bringing it in contact with its counterpart. YiHuang has to bite his lips to keep himself from moaning when Zhang pulls the latter in by the neck and digs his teeth into the soft curve at the base of his neck.
The two stop and slow down after that. Zhang mouths an apology, but YiHuang demands another kiss to make up for the inconvenience. The human obliges enthusiastically. YiHuang takes the opportunity to get his hand into the latter's robes, where it wanders, exploring the smooth expanse.
Zhang bathes in the attention and reciprocates by returning the favor, by caressing the latter's buds, making them perk up. To say that they don't want to take it a step further would be a lie, but they realize that hands and mouth (over the belt) would have to do for now. They dare not move lower for the sake of the one who was putting up with their wanton gasps, silent and accommodating.
The knock on the door comes just as YiHuang's lips close over the human's sensitive bud, eliciting a soft gasp filled with unbridled desire.
"Enter," YiYang commands, and the footsteps of the one delivering their meal drift inside the resting pod.
YiHuang's fingers dig into the small of Zhang's back, dragging a close-lipped moan from him.
"No need to keep it down, Brother. We have paid for it." YiYang's voice reaches the men in throws of passion, grounding them, yet not wanting them to stop.
Zhang covers YiHuang's fingers with his, moving the latter's hand higher over his heart. With similar pace and pitch, their hearts seem to beat as one. The two orbs meet in a heated gaze, neither wanting the moment to end.
Zhang traces the veins that run over his lover's arms, and reaching upward, his fingers settle on the nape of his lover's neck. He pulls himself up till only a hair's breadth separates them, "Ah-Huang," he breaths, his voice is like an intimate, secret touch between them, "I can't wait to be with you-" Then nipping the shell of his ear, he finishes, "-completely."
YiHuang sucks in a breath. His body stiffens at the promise of a future filled with the thoughts of them...together.
The prince strokes the angular face looking up at him like the entire galaxy was held wrapped up in him. He smiles fondly and brings their lips together in a deep searing kiss, before letting them go reluctantly. "I love you, Ah-Zhang." He whispers back, trying to fill the words with every emotion buried deep in his heart. "I am so glad I found you."
YiHuang kisses Zhang's forehead and gets off of him. He had heard the staff leave minutes ago. Thus, even though he had not had his fill of Zhang, he knew that they couldn't afford to make his brother wait any longer. In silence, the duo gets dressed and takes a few more minutes to calm themselves before exiting the rest pod.
Without looking up from his meal, the oldest of them gestures the two to join him, "The food here is closest to taste and texture that you are used to, officer. I am sure after days of consuming the green stuff, your taste buds would have become dormant. Let's wake them up, shall we?" Though the crown prince tries his best to look and sound unaffected; Unfortunately, the way his eyes dart and his face twitches give his uncomfortableness away. Nonetheless, he was too proud to let his companions sense that he was feeling like an abandoned, lonely third wheel.
When the other two opt for silence instead of chatter, YiYang starts again, "Our Ah-Huang has never had the privilege to taste spices. He grew up on the green stuff. It might come as a shock to his senses."
"Brother, I don't think-"
"Ah-Huang, just eat, alright? Do you really want to deprive the officer of what might be closest to his home planet meal?" The comment shuts the younger up.
YiHuang stares at the display with eyes full of apprehension, but when he glances at Zhang, a smile tugs at the corners of his lips. For, the human was gaping at the meal like he had seen God, and as the first morsel touched his lips, he looked like it had propelled him to heaven.
Encouraged by Zhang, YiHuang reckons, 'If he likes it so much, it can't be that bad.'
It was bad. Well, at least that is what the second prince thought as soon as he took a bite. It took all his self-control and then some to keep it down, but he did it. After swallowing it with great effort, he announced, "I will stick to my usual."
Luckily, the 'usual' was also included in the menu, and the younger prince gulped it down with gusto.
After the three have finished every little bit of their meal, they proceed with their plan. With a 'do not disturb' sign firmly placed outside the door, the three exit the residence and enter the launch bay.

In the center of the high ceilinged mammoth hall that YiYang had addressed as launching bay sat an oval dome-shaped contraption.
"This," YiYang announces proudly, "is my pride and joy, Xue."
The two visitors look a little underwhelmed at the sight of the thing YiYang had just introduced to them. Perhaps because neither had expected the space vehicle to look like...
"It looks like an egg." Zhang comments after a few minutes of careful observation; meanwhile, YiHuang stands with his brows knit, "Brother, it looks like an average medical transport pod."
"What did you expect it to look like!?" YiYang retorts, feeling a bit offended.
"A medical transport pod?" Zhang interrupts. Both brothers pretend not to have heard him. For both were a bit peeved that the human had compared the sophisticated vehicle to an egg.
"For your information, this space vehicle was built to blend in. Its deceptive design is supposed to act as its cover. No one will suspect it to be a space vehicle, and no one will stop it on the expressway."
The two men nod in unison. Now that they knew why Xue looked the way it did, they had a newfound respect for the vehicle and its creator.
Zhang quirks his brow, fingers gliding over the smooth, cool-to-touch exterior, and asks, "Let's take a look inside, shall we?"
