Leonardo's POV

After saying bye to Stacy, Enzo and I made our way to meet up with our friends. We hadn't spoken to them since Friday because we'd been really busy getting to know Stace and whatnot.

We have five close friends. All of them know about the mafia, and they're all a part of it in some way. They also know about Stacy. We've been friends with them nearly our whole lives, and they know literally everything about us.

"Hey, guys," Enzo grumbled once we reached them.

Levi scowled. "Oh, so you ignore us for three days then show up at school like nothing's happened?"

"I'm sorry, we had a lot going on, dude," I said, trying to calm him down.

"Yeah, like what? 'Cause last time I checked, everything was fine," Luke, Levi's twin, chimed in.

"We found Anastacia," Enzo said, cutting to the chase, his voice laced with irritation.

"Holy shit," Damon said, his eyes widening.

"Yeah, we've been getting to know her. She's not exactly the same as we remembered," I added.

"Where is she?" Flynn asked, always the quiet observer, but his curiosity was piqued.

"She's in class right now," Enzo replied, still sounding grumpy. "First day and all. We dropped her off."

Man, this is insane. We've been searching for years," Damon said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"How's she doing?" asked Harry, the last of our group, always the one to worry about everyone.

"She's different, no doubt about that," I replied. "She's very closed off, I don't really know, she's just not as happy and energetic as she used to be. Something happened, I'm sure of that."

Levi's scowl softened. "Well, at least she's back. That's something."

"Yeah, it is," Enzo agreed, his tone softening ever so slightly. "But she keeps being a bitch and practically ignoring us."

"Yeah, probably because you're being an absolute bitch to her," I said, glaring at Enzo.

"It's not just me she's ignoring! It's everyone, so just shut up," Enzo shot back, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

"Really, you find your sister after 13 years and you're a dick to her?" Levi said, disbelief clear in his voice.

"Look, man, we know her getting kidnapped was hard on your family and you, and we can all see how much it's affected you, but can you at least try to be nice to her?" Damon said, his tone pleading.

"No, and stop trying to get in my head," Enzo replied, glaring at Damon before storming off.

The rest of us stood there, watching him go. Levi shook his head. "He's got some serious issues to work through."

"We all do," I said quietly. "But he's right about one thing—Stacy's not just ignoring him. She's keeping everyone at arm's length."

"Maybe she just needs time," Harry suggested.

"Yeah, maybe," I agreed, though I wasn't entirely convinced. Time might help, but it wasn't going to heal everything on its own.

"Let's just give her some space for now," Flynn said, always the voice of reason. "And be there for her when she's ready."

We all nodded in agreement. It was the best we could do for now.

As we walked to our first class, my mind wandered back to Stacy. I just hoped she'd find a way to open up to us. We were her family, and we'd do anything to make sure she was okay.
