"No way you're seeing Kwon, him out of all people you pick?" He says with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"I'm not seeing him, we're just flirting."

"The way he was looking at you suggests something else."

My stomach suddenly sinks, "Huh, what do you mean?" I stutter.

"He's got it bad."

"No, we met like yesterday. You're silly." I attempt to shrug it off, Robby notices my uncomfortable language and changes the topic.

"Anyway, you're gonna wanna hear what proposal Miguel and Hawk have came up with for you."

"Proposal..?" I inquire, I raise my eyebrow, wondering all the possibilities of what this could be.

"Yes, I can't tell you as they want to personally tell you themselves. But you'll see."

We end up meeting with the rest of the group, they all have serious looks on their faces standing with their arms crossed. The uncomfortable silence filled the room.

I begin to sweat a bit and feel my cheeks flush, wondering what this bizarre proposal could be.

Hawk walks up to me. "So, me and Miguel came up with a plan for yo-"

"Yeah, Robby said, get straight to the point." I interrupted.

"We want you to use Kwon to win." Miguel reluctantly blurts out, giving me an awkward smile while playing with his hands.

"Huh? Why?" I inquired defensively, not keen on this idea at all.

"Well, come on, we all see the way he looks at you. The way he tries to always get your attention, the way he flirts with you, the way he acts with you in general. He's head over heels for you." Miguel replies.

"Just play about with him, give him mixed feelings, toy with his feelings, you're good at that." Hawk states.

An unsettling silence fills the room after Hawk says that.

"The fuck is your problem?" I ridicule him.

"Yeah, Hawk, that was pretty messed up, why would you say that?" Sam probes, with a hint of anger in her voice.

"Look, I didn't mean to word it like that-"

"No, you did. You did. That's what you all think of me. Nice to know." I hissed and stormed off.

I go up to my hotel room and get changed into my gi, ready for the karate tournament in about 40 minute.

I hear a subtle, gentle knock on the door.

"Doors open!" I yell.

I see Miguel, walk in and sit on top of the bed.

"Hawk just didn't mean it like that, he's just horrible with his phrasing."

"Anyway, he knows how devoted you are to karate so he thought you might be up to leading Kwon on." Miguel adds.

"So, are you in?" Miguel inquires, looking at her with some sort of puppy dog eyes.

I feel the pressure to not disappoint by team by saying no, but I also don't want to do this to Kwon. But, this will also help our team if it does affect his performance, but I wanna see where it goes.

"I'll do it. I'll be down there soon." I suddenly utter, succumbing to his puppy dog eyes and the team's reliance on me.

"Right, okay!" Miguel replies, with a big fat smile on his face as he excitedly slams the door as he walks out of the room.

I let out a massive exhale, wondering what I have gotten myself into.

But if they're gonna make me pick, I need to stay devoted to my team over him. No offence but just look at Robby for example; I can't be like that.
