four.
jung hoseok.
it's simple-- jung hoseok doesn't know who his soulmate is. one thing's for sure, though: his soulmate is a very messy person. they might even be slightly insane.
if it hasn't been clear up to this point, hoseok's soulmate really likes... writing on their forearms. by the end of the day, hoseok always needs to put in effort on scrubbing the doodles and words off of his arms. at this point, he's used to it.
but something didn't quite fit into the puzzle.
he's not particularly sure of his soulmate's gender, but the one thing that never made sense were the conversations.
the conversations...
amongst the doodles, there'd be these... small conversations that hoseok would never partake in. he didn't dare write anything back to his soulmate. all he did was observe.
he'd always watch a thin point of a pen write words on his skin. after a few minutes, one of the sentences would vanish, the other following. those weren't exactly the same for the doodles. the doodles stayed until night. hoseok would wash them off.
1) his soulmate is, indeed, insane. or just... very narcissistic.
2) his soulmate has given up on finding hoseok, so they have decided to pretend to be soulmates with someone else. most likely.
the second possibility would constantly make hoseok sad. but the doodles make it better. diving deeper into the doodle part... he doesn't really know what some of them pertain to.
sometimes, his soulmate's really artistic-- going all out with the realistic flowers, eyes, random objects, etc. hoseok sort of wonders if his soulmate was some kind of artist. or a tattoo artist. the latter guess isn't entirely impossible, as hoseok wonders if his soulmate does have tattoos or not. any kind of material applies to the soulmate rule, except for tattoo guns.
but sometimes, hoseok guesses that his soulmate had a shitty day, the doodles being really shitty sometimes. the doodles, being literal shit, rocket ships, messy stars and the like. there's also that possibility of another person being the one responsible for the shitty doodles, often writing on hoseok's soulmate's arms.
despite all that, hoseok can't wait to meet his soulmate.
jeon jeongguk.
jeongguk knows who his soulmate is.
it's taehyung, his office mate in the same department. they're now living together, too.
they had both found out two years ago, when taehyung had written coconut head on jeongguk's forehead whilst the younger slept soundly in the break room. as jeongguk was unaware, taehyung had shocked himself upon going to the bathroom and looking in the mirror, seeing that the exact same words were written across the skin of his forehead, as well.
afterwards, he had woken jeongguk up with a kiss.
with the perfect relationship, the sweet kisses and the constant butterflies, a part of jeongguk felt empty.
and he doesn't know why.
he's not out of love when it came to taehyung. jeongguk was genuinely happy with the relationship and all.
he loved taehyung,
and he was sure of it.
kim taehyung.
as said, jeongguk and taehyung are soulmates. it fit perfectly, as taehyung had actually developed a small crush on jeongguk even before they found out about them being soulmates.
but unknown to jeongguk, taehyung also felt empty.
sometimes, taehyung would delve into his fears. are they falling out of love? were they really meant to be, or was it normal for soulmates to feel like this every now and then? the two have always been honest with each other, so this shouldn't be a problem, but taehyung couldn't quite tell jeongguk about it, just yet.
neither of them are cheating on the other.
well...
off topic, but: there may be an orange haired male crossing taehyung's thoughts ever so often, but rest assured, he has zero feelings for the said male. he loves jeongguk and always will. he'll try his best to make it work, if ever they both start having second thoughts.
on the subject of the orange haired male.
taehyung was just friends with him. after office hours, jeongguk would offer to stay late at work, so taehyung would always head home first. on the way to the parking lot (taehyung'd take the car and jeongguk would take a cab), taehyung would often bump into jung hoseok, a guy from another department.
jung hoseok was generally a nice guy. they had met one day when taehyung accidentally dropped all his paper walk on his way out of the building. hoseok happened to walk out right after him, and so he helped taehyung. a conversation occurred afterwards, and, well... they became friends.
today, jeongguk offered to stay late, along with jimin. although, jimin would later be left alone. jeongguk gets his work done fast, as he'd like to spend time with taehyung later in the night.
jackson told him it was okay, as long as he made sure to lock the office before leaving.
as taehyung walked towards his car, he couldn't help but slow his pace a little. he'd be lying if he said it weren't because he wanted to see hoseok or have a little conversation with him-- it's just that, every time jeongguk offers to stay late, taehyung and hoseok would coincidentally meet outside and taehyung's just really used to it.
"taehyung!"
taehyung smiled, turned around and watched hoseok run towards him.
"hoseok!" taehyung exclaimed. "hi."
"hi." hoseok grinned. "i heard your department's working with mine for a project on kim wonsik's new product line."
"oh, yeah," taehyung said, "we are. we're glad to be of service. text me whenever you need some help with your work!"
and, yes, he does have hoseok's number.
"same here." hoseok smiled warmly.
"hey, um," taehyung glanced at his car. "do you need a ride home?"
hoseok hummed. "is that okay? i've already been such a bother for the past few weeks, and..."
"no, it's okay." taehyung interrupted. "kookie's still working late. told me to ahead, as usual." he explained.
not cheating. hoseok knows about jeongguk.
"well, thanks." hoseok grinned.
taehyung swears he's about to faint.
not cheating.
