six.

jackson sighed upon entering the break room, immediately taking notice of a brown haired boy on the sofa, glaring at the floor. rolling his eyes, jackson strode over, arms crossed as he stood next to the sofa.

"what's wrong with you?" jackson inquired.

jeongguk looked away, still looking grumpy. "taehyung's hanging out with hoseok."

"yeah," jackson said, "because they're working, jeongguk. even min yoongi's here."

jeongguk scoffed. jackson assumed he wasn't going to speak further of the issue, so he pried him for some answers, "where's jimin?"

jeongguk grumbled, "probably late, since he stayed in the lobby all night with yoongi the other day. he's probably getting more sleep."

jackson raised a brow in curiosity. "and why was i not informed of this... small lobby sleepover?" he questioned.

the younger of the two just shrugged.

it's around midday when jimin barges into the office, looking over at his coworkers and yelling out, "i'm sorry for being late!" as he rushed over to his own desk, which was currently occupied by someone else.

"yoongi hyung." jimin addressed, "good morning." he watched as yoongi got up from the seat, quickly walking to the corner of the office to grab another chair, striding back to place his seat next to jimin's.

"good morning," yoongi greeted back. "have you--"

"yoongi hyung! i'm sorry for being late! i overslept..." jimin apologized once more.

at first, yoongi blinked. then he gave jimin a small smile, "you already apologized. it's fine, no big deal," he gestures for jimin to take a seat and so he does, setting his laptop down on the desk, next to yoongi's paperwork. "we were able to do half a page the other day, so it'll probably be easier."

jimin nodded, starting his laptop up.

"i'm here with jung hoseok today." yoongi stated.

jimin heard a squeal over at taehyung's area, "that's me!" looking over, he spotted the orange haired male next to his best friend, both working diligently with smiles on their faces. hoseok looked up, smiling at jimin.

"nice to meet you, hoseok hyung." jimin greeted, but a small frown made its way to his face when he glanced at jeongguk's empty area. he turned towards taehyung, "taehyung, where's kookie?"

mark, who stayed silent this whole time, answered without looking away from his work, "being a jealous hoe in the break room." he deadpanned.

hoseok's eyes widened. "oh god, is it because of me again?"

taehyung glares at mark, "hyung, stop it," he scolded, before turning to hoseok, "don't worry about jeongguk. he's just tired, so he just decided to go take a break and all."

hoseok sighed.

upon seeing the elder slightly disappointed, taehyung grinned as he stood from his seat, looking over at his fellow coworkers. "guys, what if the six of us go out tonight, after work?"

"six? including kookie?" jimin asked, receiving a nod from taehyung. jimin nodded with a grin, "sure."

yoongi, still typing, shrugged, "why not?"

"can't," mark replied, "going out with jackson tonight."

yoongi let out a teasing whistle, followed by a roll of the eyes from mark.

"that makes five of us," taehyung announced, sitting down and glancing at hoseok. "you going with us, hyung?"

"i don't know," hoseok hesitated. "would jeongguk be okay with it?"

yoongi hummed. "it will be an opportunity in which you can get him to like you more." he remarked.

"yeah," taehyung agreed, "i'll drag him with us if he won't budge."

nodding slowly, hoseok replied with less hesitation than before, "okay. sure."

taehyung grinned. "great!"

great, indeed.

it's the hours after office time. it's a point in which namjoon, seokjin, mark and jackson have all left. yoongi, leaving jaehwan behind at the office (although jaehwan said he'd be packing up by the time yoongi reaches the lobby), walked down to the lobby, opening the door and closing it quietly behind him.

turning around, he spotted jimin standing near the entrance of the building, tapping his foot against the ground as he silently waited for the others.

yoongi decided to walk over, gulping as he stood stiffly next to the younger.

that's the thing, though. earlier today and this week, they weren't particularly this awkward. yoongi assumed it was because they were alone, together, awkward and clueless of what to talk about and how to start a conversation. besides, they weren't that close.

although yoongi would want to be closer with jimin. like he said, the guy seemed nice-- perhaps tonight, yoongi would try to develop a closer friendship with the younger.

as they stood next to each other awkwardly, they heard a door behind them open, both turning towards it. there was jaehwan, carrying his own stuff, walking towards the exit. he stopped for a moment, eyeing yoongi and jimin, giving yoongi a quizzical look.

yoongi coughed, "hi. jaehwan."

jaehwan just hummed, sending him a smirk of a sort, before leaving the building.

they were in some kind of silence again, this time, yoongi was tapping his fingers against his own side, impatiently.

in a matter of seconds, he could no longer handle it. he turned to his side, but at the same time, jimin did as well.

"do you--"

"uh, hey--"

they both stared at each other for a while, jimin looking with wide eyes, yoongi with a blank stare on his face. eventually, they turned away, looking elsewhere-- anything other than the other male.

after a few more moments of excruciating-awkward-and-uncomfortable silence, they heard the door to the lobby open once more.

turning around, they spotted, hoseok walking towards them with a smile, his plain white long sleeves rolled up to his elbows. jimin, eyeing the ink smudges on the part of hoseok's visible arms, looked at him with a worried expression.

"what happened to your arms?" he questioned.

yoongi coughed, answering for hoseok, "hoseok's soulmate really likes writing on their arms."

hoseok hummed, rolling the sleeves down as he stood in front of the two. "yep. hard time scrubbing them off."

jimin laughed. "reminds me of jeongguk and taehyung. they like doodling on their arms too, they pretty much think it's the best part of being soulmates."

"that's cute." yoongi remarked.

jimin grinned, "they like it more than actual talking."

hoseok smiled, about to respond, when the lobby door burst open, all eyes on jeongguk and taehyung who'd just walked in. arm linked around jeongguk's taehyung walked over to the rest of the group.

jeongguk's frowning, while taehyung looks like he'll be having the time of his life. "let's go?" he asked the group.

before the group could agree on leaving, jeongguk looked up at hoseok with a cocked eyebrow. "you're hoseok?" he inquired, tone not really siding to anything-- it was hard to tell what he was feeling.

hoseok, who knew how much his presence bothered jeon jeongguk, decided to ease the younger's mind a bit. he decided to reassure the boy, "and you're the jeongguk i keep hearing so much about from taehyung!" he said with a genuine smile.

the younger faltered for a second, a light red dusting his cheeks. "yeah." he mumbled, looking away.

"okay," taehyung piped in, laughing awkwardly. "let's go, guys."

the bar they traveled to was actually quite calming, as it wasn't the usual let's-party-all-night-and-be-noisy type. it was way quiet, and if you listen long enough, you'll hear the hushed conversations of groups of people in individual booths.

it was a well known bar, though. tonight, it didn't have too many people, but it had enough to make someone socially anxious.

once their group found an empty booth to occupy, yoongi and jimin sat next to each other, hoseok next to yoongi (in the center), taehyung across from jimin and jeongguk in between taehyung and hoseok, which sort of bothered the youngest.

jimin spoke up first, "taehyung, could you come with me to get some drinks?"

taehyung, glancing at how hard jeongguk was glaring at the table and how hoseok looked so awkward. he turned towards jimin, "nah, you go ahead."

"i'll go with you," yoongi volunteered, getting up. jimin slowly nodded, walking off with yoongi trailing behind him.

the three are left behind.

"actually," taehyung began, getting up. jeongguk stared at him, troubled. "i'm going to the bathroom."

he then walked off,

leaving the two behind.

"so." hoseok said, "uh. hi."

jeongguk stared at him oddly. "hi?"

"tell me about yourself?" hoseok suggested. jeongguk sighed, knowing that the older was really trying to initiate a decent conversation with him, so he gave him a chance.

"i like singing." jeongguk started off.

"ah," hoseok smiled, "i used to sing a lot."

jeongguk frowned. "what happened?"

"i sort of like rapping more," hoseok shrugged, "and dancing. dancing makes me happy."

jeongguk could feel his own mood lighten up a bit. hoseok seemed nice when he was talking about things like this.

"i like dancing too." jeongguk said.

"who doesn't? it lets me express myself. honestly, i feel the best when i'm dancing. if i dance once in a day, it'll probably relieve my stress." hoseok smiled.

jeongguk's eyes lit up. "same!" he exclaimed. "though, i'm not really the competitive type." okay, maybe jeongguk was lying a bit, but he didn't like competitions either way, "i just want dancing as a hobby."

(haha more like hobi haha)

"i feel you." hoseok sighed. "yoongi always tells me to have a gig of a sort. i always say no."

"huh," jeongguk whispered. "well... jimin always tells me to join his gigs."

hoseok laughed, "do you? end up joining, i mean?"

jeongguk just shook his head.

"i see." hoseok said, "i guess we have a few things in common, jeon jeongguk. concerning dance, mostly."

jeongguk's smiling now. "yeah," he replied, "i guess we do."

just then, taehyung places a tray filled with various drinks onto their booth's table, startling the other two as they stare at the drinks, some alarmingly strong, but some not so strong.

taehyung grinned. "let's drink."

meanwhile, at the bar where yoongi and jimin are seated, they both sit in a not-so-uncomfortable-but-slightly-awkward silence, the individuals taking sips of their drinks every now and then.

jimin decides to start a conversation. "long day at work?"

yoongi hummed, "indeed. i'm tired. this whole collaboration thing is great, don't get me wrong, but the client's asking for a lot."

"tell me about it," jimin whined, "i'm not getting enough sleep!" he complained.

yoongi turned to him and chuckled. "don't worry, jiminie," he sipped on his drink, "we'll be finished soon with our part, anyway."

a light shade of pink covered jimin's cheek as a response to yoongi's nickname. but before jimin could say anything, he felt a foreign arm wrap around his waist from his other side. yoongi frowned, looking over to jimin's other side, and so jimin did as well.

beside him was a flirtatious looking guy, a glint of lust in his eyes as he stared at jimin. "hello there, babe." jimin almost cringes, about to hit the guy or push him away or anything-- but the guy goes, "you seem lonely," jimin assumes that the guy didn't notice yoongi, "how about we get to know each other a little more? hm?"

jimin, opening his mouth to snap at the stranger, felt a tug on his other arm. he quickly looked to his other side, seeing yoongi hold onto his arm and glare at the stranger possessively.

"i'm sorry," yoongi said in a gruff voice, "but he's my boyfriend." he said, blatantly, jimin almost took him too seriously.

the stranger's lustful gaze on jimin faltered, taking his hold on jimin back. he raised his palms in defense, getting off the bar seat, looking at yoongi apologetically, although it didn't look too genuine.

"sorry, dude." the stranger huffed, walking off.

jimin stared after the guy, before taking a gulp of his drink and turning to yoongi, who was looking at him with a slightly apologetic look.

"thanks." jimin said, smiling a bit.

"yeah, well," yoongi began, "sorry to cut the night short, but seeing as all these people have their eyes on your oh-so-beautiful face..." he said in a monotonous tone, making jimin feel conscious and look around with a blush on his face.

"...do you want to go back to my place?"

jimin suddenly feels the alcohol kicking in. all the younger could do was nod in agreement.
