Chapter 29: Time for Tell
Alyssa's POV
"Who do you think it is?" Kai wondered, crouching next to me on the rooftop of a small store in the large city. "I don't know the name, but he's stronger than Ridley," I answered.
"So, what do you say we do?"
I looked at him and stood up, tightening my arms in my black and purple gi. "I say that we should... train. Let's just train. If we don't know who this is, then we don't have a fighting chance. So, we just have to be ready," I replied.
He smiled and held my hand tightly in his. "Why did you ask me anyways?" I wondered.
He sighed, "You're overpowered here. You've met him, you've faced him, and most of all, you were here alone. one of us went through that, we had someone. But you... you had a lot of strength," he said.

I sat on my bed in the room I share with Emily, looking at the scroll I used to find the others. Suddenly, an overwhelming feeling come over me and my head shot up.
"What's going on?" I asked one of the city dwellers. She looked at me and pointed in panic to the city. "The people have gone crazy! They have no control!" she cried out, running form the people.
I turned back and saw flames rising from a building and I sprinted to it. People were breaking the windows of the inflamed building and just acting insane.
I ran up and pulled multiple people away from fire, the running in myself. "Everyone out, now! The ninja aren't here, but I am! And if I find anyone around this building past twenty seconds then I will boot you myself!" I screamed.
A pile of people in the center room looked at me and ran out of the house in a rush. I quickly searched through all the rooms, avoiding the fire that was fast on my heels.
"Alyssa! Yoo-hoo!" someone interrupted. I jerked up and looked towards my door where Cole stood, a smirk on his face. "You alright there? You were really zoned," he laughed.
"I was just thinking. No need to be smug," I said, rolling my eyes. "What do you want?"
"Just checking up on you. Emma's worried about mom and dad, and I just wanted to check on you," he explained.
I nodded and stood up, "She should tell them. I mean, they won't be mad at her for staying hidden. They'll understand, and they'll be happy she's back," I told him, handing him the shop phone.
"Call them."
