Hope was outside with Isaac. She was nervous about being away from him even if it was for an hour.

"Are you sure? I can skip the lesson if you want?" Hope tried again.

"Alpha. You don't need to we will be fine. And you love art and can't skip the first lesson." Isaac reasons. He gets that she is scared, he is too. But he understands that they can't be together all the time and this is practice. "It's only for an hour and then we are in gym together."

Hope loves that Isaac is trying to cheer her up. "Ok fine. It's an hour."

They have been apart for 3 minutes and Hope can feel the pull from her wolf to go to him and protect him. Protect him from what, she has no idea.

She walks into class and gets hit with a familiar smell. 'Where do I know that from?'

She shakes it off for now but doesn't forget about it.

Klaus pov
She is right there. He can actually see her and smell her scent that he has never forgotten. He thought he would be fine in the same room as her but all he can think about it getting her out of here and protect her. Protect her from what, he has no idea.

He shakes himself out of it and starts the lesson.

3rd person PoV

At the end of the lesson Hope gets asked to stay behind. It confuses her as she doesn't think she didn't anything wrong. But the teacher had been looking at her weirdly the whole hour so she is getting a little creeped out.

"Miss argent. I would like for you to stay behind for a moment." Klaus says.

"Of course sir." Hope replied. She has no friends in this class. Not that she has any friends anyway. "I do have a lesson to get to though."

"It will only take a second. I would like you to know that I am sorry for making you uncomfortable but you smell like someone."

Hope was confused. Did he just out himself as supernatural to her?

"I don't understand sir."

"No need with the sir. Just call me Nik." Klaus hopes this will go smoothly.

"Ok Nik."

"You smell like someone I know. She was taken from me when she was very young." Hope is surprised by this. Why is he telling her this? "I would like to get to know you to see if it's you that is my daughter."

Hopes world spins. "What?" She whispered.

"I know this is a surprise but I've been looking for 15 years for my baby and I just want to make sure before moving on to the next town." Klaus has to get it to seem he doesn't know it is her. He wants to make sure she trusts him and doesn't think he is trying to take her away.

"Sir... I mean Nik. I don't know if I can be her. I am adopted and I don't know who my original parents are." Hope doesn't want to get her hopes up. She doesn't want it to come crashing down on her. Nothing this good happens to her.

"That's why I need to check. I don't know where she is and she was adopted meaning her name was changed so I couldn't track her anymore. Witches blocked her from me and I just want to cross any possibilities off so I know for sure. I just want my baby back." Nik was desperate and she could hear it in his voice.

"Ok. I'll agree to getting to know you but I will not get my hopes up and I suggest you do the same."

"That's perfectly fine, miss argent."

"If I can call you Nik you can call me Hope." It also felt weird her maybe father was calling her that.

"Of course Hope." He was so happy she had agreed to get to know him and he was sure she could smell it.

They agreed to go to the loft after school (and work) and try to get to know each other.

"I know you are supernatural so I would like to tell you that I have a beta who will be with me. We have just bonded and it feels weird to be apart." Hope told him. She was now a few minutes late for gym and she was sure he was getting worried. "And I'm late for my next lesson which he is in. I don't want to have him more worried."

"Of course Hope. I will see you later. I can right you a note to say why you were late."

"Thank you." And with that she was handed a note and left.

Hey. I know that was very sudden. But I didn't want to be like other fanfics and drag it out when I know this is something klaus would do.

It's a shorter chapter but that's all I could add.

Also the story isn't abandoned, I just take forever to update because I don't have the time or sometimes the motivation to do anything. Hope you guys enjoy
