▪︎ 06 ▪︎ Food
Another day, another topic. Just letting you know, bazinga_way is planning to make a similar book. So, if you want to see her version, go ahead and check it out when it comes out. It might even be better than mine.
I also plan to update on Chaotic Energy (my short story book). If I upload a chapter there, would you mind checking it out? Thanks! 😊

Welcome to Chapter 6 : Food!
I hope you are excited. I've been meaning to make the topic about food for a long time.
I know a lot of people love food too so this should be fun. I am genuinely curious as to how you see food.
▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎
1 ▪︎ What are your favorite foods?
I personally love any pasta dish, sushi, sweet and sour pork, and every kind of seafood. I actually love a lot of foods.
2 ▪︎ What's your favorite snack?
I don't usually eat snacks but when I do, I really love spicy chips. Any spicy snack, I'm down.

There aren't foods I dislike. Maybe some animal insides or exotic food.

Nope, which means more food for me!!!
5 ▪︎ Do you like to eat a lot of food everyday?
There are times I do and there are times I don't. However most of the time, I don't eat a lot every meal.
6 ▪︎ How long do you take to eat?
I actually take my time eating because I really have a habit of liquifying my foods with my saliva and then chewing it until it becomes mushy. I don't like to swallow hard foods.
7 ▪︎ At what times do you usually eat breakfast, lunch and dinner?
It usually depends on what time food is served or cooked. For breakfast, I usually eat around 8am - 10am, depends what time I wake up. I eat lunch at 12pm, but most times, I eat at 2pm. For dinner, I like to eat early so I eat around 4pm - 6pm.

My parents are really great cooks, so I have tried a lot of dishes by now. The most common is usually pasta or seafood. We also always have a lot of soup because our family loves soup.
10 ▪︎ Do you cook? If so, are you a good cook? What food do you cook the most?
I can cook, but I don't usually cook. I always cook simple dishes like eggs, or instant noodles, or spaghetti. I just get too lazy and I don't think I'm as great as my parents.
11 ▪︎ Do you always eat vegetables?
Not always, but I do have at least one vegetable everyday. I actually really love vegetables.
12 ▪︎ If you're still in school, do you eat lunch at school everyday? Do you bring your own lunch? How much does lunch usually cost at school?
I always eat lunch at school because I skip breakfast so I get really hungry by then. I used to bring my own lunch when I was younger but because of time constraint, I usually buy my lunch at school. Lunch usually costs 20 pesos (Philippines currency) and they're actually really delicious.
13 ▪︎ Do you like deep fried food? (Fritters, Churros, Fried Chicken, etc.)
I'm such a sucker for deep fried food. I just love crunch food so much. Especially churros, I could eat that forever, it's so good.

I drank milk everyday when I was younger, not so much anymore. For tea, I usually drink it once a week. I usually drink green tea.
7 ▪︎ Do you have a favorite café? If so, what is it? Why do you like it?
Not really, I don't usually go to cafés since my parents don't usually bring us to cafés.
8 ▪︎ Do you often, eat homemade meals, eat out at restaurants or eat delivery food?
During school time, we would eat homemade meals a lot. During the summer, we would deliver often.
9 ▪︎ Do you like to eat at fast food resraurants?
Yeah, but I do get tired from eating there for more than thrice a week.
10 ▪︎ Do you like to eat junk food?
Not really, I only eat them if I'm desperately hungry. My parents also prefer buying biscuits and cupcakes as snacks.

For cheapest, it's usually street food. For the most expensive, I can't really remember but I think it was a dessert.
17 ▪︎ What is the most expensive restaurant you have been to?
Vikings. It's an all you can eat restaurant and damn it was expensive. It costed 1000 pesos per head. I don't know what's exactly the equivalent to dollars or euros.
18 ▪︎ What special foods do you eat on holidays?
Every christmas we would always eat holiday ham with pineapples. It was a family tradition.
19 ▪︎ Does your family have any special recipes passed down from generation to generation?
Not really but my parents like to experiment. They once put raisins in our carbonara and it was actually good.

I would sometimes find hair here and there but nothing too disgusting.

▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎

Yeah, I'm not picky. I recently tried seaweed. Not the dried seaweed but the actual like seaweed. It was good.

No, but maybe because they haven't told me or it's not that obvious. I know some girls who really don't eat a lot.
5 ▪︎ Do you think fast food, soda and sweets should be sold in school cafeterias?
Fast food and sodas are actually banned in my school and I do agree that those two shouldn't be sold in school since you can buy that outsidr anyways. For sweets, I don't think thwy should be banned but maybe regulated because sugar can be good for brain activity.
6 ▪︎ Have you ever been on a diet? If so, how long did you stay on it?
I never really tried a diet because my mom really makes me eat. I also prefer to eat and excercise regularly than to starve myself.
7 ▪︎ How do you classify "fat"?
I only call someone fat if they look too overweight that it becomes unhealthy. I don't consider a slightly bulging belly as fat.
8 ▪︎ Is there a difference between being thin and being healthy? Which one is better?
Of course. Being healthy is better because you eat normally and look natural with your body shape. Being thin can sometimes mean undereating and you don't develop muscles. Which means you can get weak or fatigue easily.
9 ▪︎ What is the best way to diet?
Just knowing when your body needs to stop eating and what your body needs to take more. You don't have to restrict yourself to only healthy.
10 ▪︎ Do you think dieting can be dangerous?
The kind of dieting where you starve yourself is obviously dangerous. Your body won't be strong enough to fight diseases and wounds and that risks you dying early.
11 ▪︎ Do you think there is more pressure now for teens to look slimmer?
Of course. I can't count the amount of times my relatives and even my own father said I gained more weight. My head looks bigger and my body is a bit bigger than my cousins and relatives but my BMI is normal.
12 ▪︎ In what way can diet influence our appearance and personality?
It can make you really unmotivated and weak. Sometimes you choose not to do certain things because of your diet. You reject your natural desires just to achieve a weight that is not healthy for your age.
13 ▪︎ How much do you eat when you are sad or happy? What do you usually eat when you are sad?
I eat normally regardless of my emotions. Being overly happy or sad doesn't change my eating habits.
14 ▪︎ What are some foods that you consider unhealthy?
Food that contains a lot of oil and sugar.
15 ▪︎ Why do you think there are times people can't stop eating even though they're full?
I experience this and it usually happens to me because I eat too quickly so my stomach doesn't digest everything quick enough so I don't feel full quick enough. This causes me too feel suddenly full later on but at the same time still crave for food.
16 ▪︎ Why do you think obesity is becoming such a problem around the world?
Fast food and junk food. I don't really think it's that complicated.
17 ▪︎ Do you think people who are considered "fat" can be happy?
Well it depends. If you were naturally chubby or if your weight is still healthy, of course you can be happy. But when it becomes unhealthy it can cause some medical issues and self esteem problems.
18 ▪︎ Do you believe the saying, "you are what you eat?"
Yes. Maybe not literally but your body reflects what you have eaten both physically and mentally.
19 ▪︎ If you were on death row, what would you request for your last meal?
I don't have anything specific but a homemade meal from my parents would be enough for me.
20 ▪︎ Do you pray before each meal?
Yes, I am Catholic so it's common to pray before and after meals.
21 ▪︎ Are there any foods that bring back special memories for you? What are they? Why?
I forgot the name of this dish but it was a really delicious egg kind of dish with soy sauce. I remember it was my favorite as a child. It was shaped in a cube. Ugh, I hate that I can't remember.
22 ▪︎ Have you ever thought food was your only friend?
No. I love food but I don't idolize it.
▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎
1 ▪︎ Are you vegetarian or vegan?
Nope.
2 ▪︎ Do you know any vegetarians or vegans?
Nope.
3▪︎ Do you think restaurants should serve one or two vegetarian or vegan dishes on their menu?
Of course. It doesn't hurt to expand and widen your possibilities. It can also be a great business tactic.
4 ▪︎ Could you try being vegetarian or vegan for a full day? Week? Month?
I can try one day but a week or a month is too long. Meat keeps me active and full. I feel like I would never feel full being a vegetarian.
5 ▪︎ What is the most logical reason for being vegetarian?
I can understand health reasons or being allergic to poultry but for the reason of sparing animal lives is just ridiculous. Every animal dies one way or another. Being vegetarian doesn't really help animal life. Besides, isn't nature more important than animals since they are the basic source of food for both animals and humans?
6 ▪︎ What meal would you miss the most if you become vegetarian?
I would miss chicken dishes. There is so many dishes you can make with chicken.
7 ▪︎ What would be a great meal for yourself if you were vegetarian?
My mom's salad which consits of green and purple lettuce, tomatoes, macaroni, grapes, mangoes and lemon zest.
8 ▪︎ Would you marry a vegetarian if it meant you can't cook meat at home?
Nah, I wouldn't be able to handle it. I wouldn't fall in love anyway since I know that we would be too different and would clash immediately.
▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎
1 ▪︎ Do you like pizza?
It's so good. How can someone hate it?
2 ▪︎ What is your favorite pizza topping?
I might sound like a monster but I honestly like every topping. Pineapple and ham are my personal favorites.
3 ▪︎ How often do you eat pizza at a restaurant?
Not that much. I like to switch up my meal choices every now and then. I also rather order pizza than eat it in a restaurant.
4 ▪︎ How often do you order pizza at home?
We used to order it a lot but we stopped recently. We're trying to eat more homemade meals now.
5 ▪︎ What do you like to drink with your pizza?
Sprite is my go to drink with any fast food.
6 ▪︎ Do you know how to make a pizza?
Yes, but we don't usually make it at home. We do make the low budget vesion with bread as the dough.
7 ▪︎ Why is pizza popular?
Probably because it's fun to prepare and easy to eat. You don't really need utensils to eat a pizza and you can pretty much choose what to put in your pizza.
