I looked into the mirror one last time before I had to leave for our first dauntless training. I looked completely different from when I was in candor, my black hair had been cut to my shoulders, it was new but I liked it. I was dressed in all black cause that's all they wear down here.

"You comin' Alice." my friend Walt from candor asked.

"Why so nosy, I'm coming." I snapped, I should've been nicer, he is just looking out for me. But I don't need anyone, I'm perfectly fine on my own.

We walked down to the training room where our two leaders were standing, Four and Eric. I had met Four when we had to jump off the building, he was not what I expected, he was a lot nicer then I thought he'd be. As for Eric, well I met him alright, and let me just say I do not like him at all, you could also say that he doesn't like me either, lets just say he said something about candors being smart mouthed.

He is so arrogant and rude and everybody's afraid of him, but I think he just needs someone to put him in his place.

"Welcome initiates, today we will be training in knife throwing." Eric stated as he picked up a knife and handed it to Four. "Why don't you show them Four." Four did as he was told but I could tell that Eric aggravated him too.

After four finished throwing the knifes, they told us all to find a target and start shooting. Everyone ran for one as I slowly walked toward an empty one which was next to Eric.

"You better hurry, or there won't be any left." he smirked as he gestured his hand to the target beside him.

"You wish." I smirked, I walked over to the farthest target from him, it was already occupied but that didn't stop me. before I reached the target I could feel his glare on me, he was shooting daggers at me. that made it even more worth it.

"Hey, scram I want this target." I shouted at a scrawny looking boy, he had the body of a twelve year old, so he coward in fear and left the target. these kids are wimps, I'm going to pass with flying colors.

We finished training at six and everyone headed to the cafeteria for dinner, I was so hungry I could hardly wait. we walked down the hallway to the cafeteria, I decided to stop at the dorm first to put my stuff up and change my shoes.

I got to the dorm and set my stuff down on my bed. as well as I changed from my combat boots to black flats, which were more comfortable. I walked out of the room, only to be met by a wall........... no a person.

"Well well well." 

I decided to ignore him and keep walking.

"Well well well." he said again.

"You don't have to repeat yourself, I ignored you just fine the first time." I turned around and snapped as I leaned one shoulder against the hall wall. he smirked as he walked closer to me, I stood my ground, I was not gonna let him intimidate me.

"What do you want Eric?" I asked with annoyance in my tone.

"I just wanted to see how our weakest link was holding up." 

Oh no he didn't, no, don't say anything, just ignore it just ignore it. I stood there and just looked at him while I tried to keep my cool, I noticed his eyes were blue with a hint of hazel, and his hair was slicked back like always, his hair always looked greasy but it still looked hot. 

he cleared his throat expecting me to say something, I didn't, I continued to stare into his vibrant eyes.

"Why are you ignoring me?" he asked 

"I'm not ignoring you, I'm waiting to see how long it takes you to realize that I don't like you." man I'm great at insulting people, especially Eric. I saw a hint of hurt on his face but it was gone before I could blink.

"Alice you are dumber than I thought you were." he stated

"And whys that?" I questioned, crossing my arms.

he didn't say anything for awhile, I could tell he was fighting a battle in that tiny brain of his.

"Never mind, you'd better go get dinner before they put it away."

my heart sunk a little, I guess I was expecting something else.

after initiation is over and you have passed.*******

I was on my run that I do "daily", it was a cold morning and I didn't want to sleep in all day so I went out for a run.

I had been running for about 3 miles now, and I was out of breath, thank god I was out of initiation.

"You'd be in good shape, if you ran as much as your mouth did." I knew that voice all to well, instead of slapping him I shot an insult right back at him.

"I would love to insult you, but I'm afraid I won't do as well as nature did." I stopped running and turned to him. 

he took steps closer to me and just laughed.

"I see you have upped your game on the insults."

I smiled as he leaned in and kissed me, I kissed him back as I wrapped my hands around his neck. "You know it." I answered as I pulled away.

"Can we go inside now I'm cold and tired from running." I complained

"Let me help you with that." he replied as he picked me up and carried me inside, he knows I hate it when he carries me. I jumped out of his arms and playfully smacked him on the chest.

"You know I hate when you do that." I muttered he gave me a pouty face and crossed his arms. "I'll forgive you, if you kiss me." his eyes lit up and he cupped my cheeks and brought his lips to mine, I could feel his strong muscles on his arms, like dang I'm lucky.

"I love you Alice." 

"Why?" I asked a little shocked, no one has ever told me that before other then my parents. But it felt different coming from someone else, let alone someone you might actually love too.

"I love your emerald eyes, I love the way you talk, I love the way you stand up to me and you're not afraid of me, I just love everything about you." I think I love him too...

"I love you Eric" 

"Thank goodness you left me hanging, I thought I was about to get rejected, don't scare me like that." 

"You big baby." I smiled as we both leaned in and continued to kiss, this was the best day of my life.
