Notes.

i.    Mariposa Liu has a very strong
personality. She comes out strong but means
well.  She is much like her mother who both women are very independent.  Mariposa was raised by her  mother — her father isn't in the picture at some point mariposa in her teenage years went searching for her father only to be disappointed by him.   She doesn't have a good relationship with men because the first person to disappoint her was her father.   It's why she is so independent and is constantly trying to prove people wrong and that she's right.

ii.   She has her masters degree.  She is very book smart and also made sure to get up each rank to make sure she is where she's now.   Which is a detective that took a lot of time to get to this point.   She's from New Orleans, Louisiana.   A little background of her in her teenage years is she used to work at a cafe that sells beignets and coffee and at times would find herself watching the performers play their jazz music or watching any parade.  It's why she loves Louisiana.   Even still in her adult life when she isn't at work.. she finds herself in the French Quarter just watching the performers and eating her beignets and coffee.

iii. Present time. Mariposa has been dealing with a break up. It's been only a few months, and it still hurts considering she has never let anyone in before and the moment that she did... he hurt her. She found him cheating on her. It's why after she receives a call to help a friend catch a killer in his home town.. she packs up her bags and takes the trip down to Forks, Washington and gets herself a room at a motel that's close to the police station.

v. The way she sees the victims in the
autopsy room is how their throats are slit
& and their arms slit. What Charlie and her think is the work of a serial killer... the remaining wolves who are in La Push can smell vampire all over the victims and they too have been looking for the vampire to rip it to shreds and now they are put in a situation where they have a detective who's going everywhere, visiting old places where previous victims were at and they need her to stop meddling into this before she ends up hurt or even dead.

vi.    The way Paul will imprint on
Mariposa is when she goes and eats her
late dinner at a diner that's near La Push
& he was there alone eating.   They made eye contact from a far distant and mariposa just felt startled because whatever just happened with this man... she felt this strange pull towards him and a part of her wanted to approach him, but didn't. The moment she left the diner it felt like a part of her remained in that diner with him. 

vii. The vampire that is doing this
the faceclaim is Freddy Carter. Theodore
Matthews. He is a vampire that is very cruel and has been around since the 11th century and kills for fun. His ability is energy vampire. He sucks the energy out of people just by his presence. He's a very negative vampire and he makes sure to make peoples miserable and he thrives off of people energy's.

viii.      When the next body is discovered
that's behind a grocery store.  Mariposa would take notice that the man from the diner was there with two other people beside him.   This would make her eyes narrow and make sure to ask Charlie who their names are, so she can interview them and ask them about their whereabouts.

ix.   I can see Paul and her being a slow-
burn because both are a bit stubborn.   She's stubborn on wanting to find out who's the serial killer and he's stubborn on wanting to protect her.     Mariposa is also not going to believe that the supernatural world exists and just assume Paul is having some psychological breakdown until Paul shows her his wolf form. This would actually make her feel dizzy... because what the hell?  She will stay away from him for a few days until she approaches him and he was a mess.   Yeah, a mess because his imprint was ignoring him and she still does not know they are soulmates.

x. The shapeshifters will eventually
kill the vampire and burn its body. Let this
happen kind of in the middle. I can also see Mariposa deciding to move to La Push to be with Paul and Paul building them a nice house that's a bit isolated for privacy. Mariposa has also wanted kids, so let them have at least one or two kids.
