"Oh, well, they sure look comfortable. Should I go and grab some pillows or something?"
Zoey stops beside the kitchen, gesturing between Josh and Chris as Beth moves the bottles beside them and she looks up.
"For the idiots who got blackout drunk? No. Let them get stiff necks. Sounds like their problem." Beth responds and Zoey snorts lightly. "You can give me a hand with these though." She adds, holding out a bin bag.
"Yeah, sure. Might as well." Zoey says lightly as she takes the bag from her before moving towards the coffee table to pick up the bottles strewn about.
"Thanks, Zo." Beth says as she ties the bag shut and Zoey looks up, raising a brow at her outstretched hand. "Hello, bag?"
"You're not going out in the dark and the snow alone. You could get axe murdered." Zoey says and Beth rolls her eyes.
"Alright, I don't think we should let Josh rope you into watching anymore horror movies for a while." Beth remarks and Zoey laughs dryly before gesturing at the door. "Are you seriously walking three feet outside the door with me?"
"Yes, of course I am. Are you trying to get Cabin in the Woods'ed?" Zoey asks.
"We're not in a cabin, Zoey." Beth responds lightly as she heads towards the door.
"Well, Lodge in the Woods, one, isn't a horror film and two, wouldn't have worked in my sentence." Zoey retorts as she follows close behind her, gently pulling the door shut behind her. "Oh, man, it's cold out here in the snow."
"Wow, Zo, you're like the next Stephen Hawking or something." Beth remarks dryly.
"Okay, you know what, Washington?" Zoey says and Beth smiles at her briefly as she takes the bag from her to put with the rest. Whilst Zoey glances over her shoulder briefly when she hears rustling in the bushes. "Oh, hey, Beth?"
"Yeah?"
"I know what to do about axe murderers,"
"Oh, do you now?"
"But what do you do about deer?" Zoey continues, ignoring the light-hearted remark and Beth turns around with a frown before she spots the animal a few feet away.
"Uh, probably not what you'd do if there was an axe murderer." Beth responds.
"So, don't punch it in the face and run?" Zoey asks.
"Obviously not, Zo." Beth responds lightly and the girl nods with a soft hum before Beth frowns, looking back at her. "That's what you'd do if there was an axe murderer?"
"Yeah, why what would you do?" Zoey asks.
"Probably just run. Obviously." She responds before shaking her head and slowly stepping toward the deer with an outstretched hand.
Zoey jumps slightly when the deer suddenly jerks, turning and jumping over the fence and Beth glances back at her with a shrug before smiling slightly in amusement. "It was just a deer, Zo. I mean, I know you're scared of horses but that was totally different." Beth says.
"Deers are basically tiny horses." Zoey argues.
"Not even close."
Zoey huffs softly, rubbing her arms as she follows Beth back up the steps and into the lodge, moving so she could close the door. "See if I follow you outside to protect you from an axe murderer again." Zoey grumbles softly and Beth just laughs softly at her as she heads towards the kitchen.
"Toss a log on the fire, would you?" Beth calls lightly and Zoey nods with a hum as she moves around the sofa. "Jeez, Josh." She remarks picking up a bottle from the counter beside him. "Once again, brother, you've outdone us all." Zoey glances up from the fire to watch Beth and Hannah as they herd Josh over to the sofa.
Zoey grabs a blanket from where it was balled up on the arm chair as he drops down onto the sofa, flinging it over him. "Softie." Beth remarks lightly as she picks up the trash bag behind the sofa. "I'm going back out. You really gonna let me get axe murdered?"
Zoey sighs, rolling her eyes briefly as she idly straightens out the blanket. "No, I'm not gonna let you get axe murdered. Let's go." Zoey gestures at the door as she speaks.
"I was kidding, Zo!"
"I'm not! Geez, Beth, it's like you wanna get murdered!" Zoey responds as she follows her out of the front door.

"Goddamn freezing cold, Beth. Jesus Christ." Zoey complains as they step back inside.
"Thought you liked the snow." She retorts lightly and Zoey grumbles softly as she rubs her arms. "Fire's right there, dummy. Go warm up or something."
"Forget the fire, I'm taking my blanket back from Josh." Zoey grumbles and Beth laughs softly. Zoey grabs the blanket, lightly tugging it off him, eliciting a slightly disgruntled hum from Josh. "Oh, go back to sleep." She says, moving to sit on the floor as she wraps the blanket around her shoulders.
"You big baby. Why are you so grumpy?" Beth asks as she stands next to Zoey, warming her hands up and Zoey just huffs, rubbing her hands together before holding them out. "Is it maybe because you didn't manage to trap Josh and Sam in a room with you before he passed out?"
"No." Zoey grumbles and Beth raises a brow at her briefly, drawing a frustrated sigh from her. "Maybe."
"Yeah, okay. I'm sure you'll have plenty of other opportunities but honestly, you should have planned better. You knew he and Chris were drinking tonight." Beth says.
"Yeah, I know." She huffs out, bolding her hands out towards the fire. "Hey, where'd Han go?" She asks after a beat, glancing up at Beth and she shakes her head lightly.
"No idea. Probably upstairs to the others." Beth responds before they both glance at Josh and Chris when they hear snoring.
"Oh, Jesus. Like being in a trainyard. Which one of them is that?" Zoey asks as Chris rolls over, knocking down the bottle by his hand.
"That would be my brother." Beth responds as she moves to pick the bottle up.
"He'll probably just knock it over again if you put it there." Zoey remarks idly as Hannah straightens it up before heading through to the kitchen.
"Hey, did you see that?" Beth calls and Zoey looks over at her with a frown.
"See what?"
"Dad said it'd just be us this weekend." She adds and Zoey brow furrows further.
"He said- Beth, please tell me you didn't just see someone out the window. I was joking about this being Cabin in the Woods." Zoey says.
"It was probably nothing, Zo. Chill out." Beth says, wafting a hand at her.
"If you want me to believe it's nothing, don't suggest it could be something." Zoey complains and Beth rolls her eyes as she heads past the sofa Chris was lying on and into the other room.
Zoey stares at the fire until she notices Beth walk back into the room, turning to look at her with a frown when she heads for the door. "Uh, where the hell are you going?"
"I'm gonna check outside." Beth says and Zoey shakes her head slightly incredulously.
"Where you maybe or maybe didn't just see someone on what should be an empty mountain? Beth, that's a terrible idea." Zoey says.
"It'll be fine. I'll just be a minute." Beth says.
"Oh, Jesus. I'm coming with. One second." Zoey says and Beth huffs softly.
"You really don't have to follow me outside every time." Beth argues as she gets up to her feet, tossing the blanket back at Josh.
"Okay, this time you actually could get murdered. So, I think this is the most justified time I'll have followed you outside." Zoey counters as she heads over to her. "Okay, let's go get murdered."
"You're such a drama queen. Honestly, I see why you and Jess get along so well." Beth remarks as she opens the door.
"Oh, ha ha. Forgive me for being worried about my friend when she does stupid things." Zoey retorts as she follows her outside, shoving her hands deep in her pockets.
She follows Beth down the steps, back towards the fence and where they'd dropped the trash, frowning slightly when she sees something on the floor. "Hey, was that there before?" Zoey asks, gesturing at the floor by the fence without taking her hands from her pockets and Beth glances at the fence before looking at Zoey's hands.
"You're ridiculous." She says as she walks over to the fence.
Zoey huffs softly in response, briefly narrowing her eyes at the back of her head as she retorts, "No, you're ridiculous."
"Oh, that was real creative, Zo. Keep it up." Beth responds as Zoey walks over to her as she picks it up.
"What is that?" Zoey asks with a frown as she looks at the wooden statue over her shoulder and Beth shakes her head a little as she turns it.
"I have no idea actually." Beth responds lightly and Zoey hums softly as she casts her gaze back up towards the woods.
"Ah, this is freaking me out. Can we go back in now?" Zoey asks and Beth nods a little, crouching to put the statue back down.
"Yeah, sure. Let's go." Beth responds and Zoey turns around before she can finish speaking, heading straight for the stairs. "Wimp!" She calls after her.
"Not chancing it, Beth! This is prime horror movie setting and I'm not a virgin!" Zoey calls back to her and Beth huffs out a soft laugh as she shakes her head a little whilst following her.
"Yeah, definitely no more late night horror movie marathons with Josh for you." Beth remarks lightly as she walks up the stairs to see Zoey holding the door open, bouncing beside it slightly.
"In the house, please. I am not dying before I get Sam and Josh to stop being colossal idiots." Zoey says, wafting a hand to gesture her into the house.
"Oh, my God, Zoey." Beth says, sounding exasperated as she walks past her.
"I'm sorry, am I ruining your plans to get murdered or something?" Zoey asks as she shuts the door before following her.
They step back into the main room, quietly closing the door behind them and Zoey heads over to the sofa whilst Beth moves towards the kitchen. Zoey gently pushes Josh's feet out of the way before wedging herself in the spot between them and the arm of the sofa, dragging the end of the blanket over her lap as she tucks her feet up.
"Oh, my God."
Zoey looks over her shoulder towards Beth, frowning a little with a soft hum. "What?" Zoey asks.
"What'd our naïve sister get herself into now?" Beth asks, glancing at Josh as she walks over to hand Zoey the note.
"Don't think Josh is gonna answer you. You keep talking to him and I admire the optimism, but I think he's out for the count." Zoey remarks as she takes the note from her. "Oh, Jesus." Zoey mutters. "Is this even Mike's handwriting?" She asks, flipping the page over briefly. "And this is Sam's. But that isn't her writing either." Zoey glances at Beth briefly when she moves back over to the kitchen, looking out the window again. "Oh, don't tell me you've seen someone else out there."
"I think it was Hannah." Beth says, moving away from the window and Zoey frowns as Beth walks back over to the sofa, grabbing Josh's shoulder. "Josh! Josh!" She shakes him in an attempt to wake him and Zoey tugs the blanket away, tossing it aside. "Fuck."
"I'll try to wake him up. You go find the others." Zoey says and Beth nods.
"Yeah, okay."
"Be careful and don't kill anyone!" Zoey calls after her when she grabs her jacket on the way out of the room. "Josh!"
Zoey shakes Josh's shoulder as she tries to wake him up, crouching in front of the sofa, pinching the bridge of her nose briefly. "Joshua!"
"Not now, Zo." He mutters, rolling over and Zoey shakes her head at him incredulously before looking up when she faintly hears Beth raise her voice.
"Oh, for the love of-" Zoey pushes herself up before rushing out of the room, grabbing her jacket to shrug on. And when she gets outside she sees everyone but the twins standing around. "What the hell happened? Where'd Beth and Hannah go?" She asks, wrapping her arms around herself to close the jacket.
"It was just a prank." Emily says and Zoey narrows her eyes briefly, briefly thinking back to the note.
"Where'd they go?" She repeats, glancing around at the group.
"Hannah ran off that way. Beth went after her." Matt says, gesturing at the woods and Zoey sighs, looking back at the woods.
"Jesus, I'm going to wake up the other two. Josh should probably know his sisters ran off into the dark alone." Zoey says, slightly exasperated.
"I'll give you a hand." Sam offers and Zoey nods a little at her.
"Someone wanna try and get some help out here? It's dark and snowing. If Beth does find Hannah, it's not going to be easy getting back." Zoey says to the rest of them before turning and walking back inside.
"What are you gonna tell him?" Sam asks as she follows Zoey and the brunette glances at her.
"Me? I'm not. I'm waking up Chris. You're waking up Josh and telling him. I don't know what happened, do I?"
