Yoongi's POV
Flashback
"Hyung, I can't do this.." Jungkook said.
I looked back at my dad, who was patiently waiting for me to get in the car that held the last load of our stuff. I looked back at the house and frowned. So many memories..
So many things left behind.
"Kook.."
"Fine, I'm only doing it because you're telling me to." Jungkook wrapped his arms around me, kissed my forehead, and then stuffed his nose into my neck. "I'll miss my best friend. My other half. My baby. My first love.. But.. I'm not trying to cry right now." He chuckled his tears away. "I-We have to.."
"Yeah..?" I cried into his hair.
"I love you, hyung." Jungkook held tighter onto me. "But you're making me break up with you." His voice cracked. "This is terrible."
"I told you, we'll see each other after school is over with." I tried to reassure him.
Jungkook shook his head. "You'll forget about me and find someone better and we'll never see each other again. I'll never see you again."
"That's not true." I stated.
"Hyung.."
"It's okay, Kookie." I breathed. "It's okay."
-
No more sticky notes.
At all.
I feel like I've been given up on, but I know that's not it. That's not how this is working.
I'm breaking myself.
I closed my locker and hit my head against it.
"Like that's going to help you out." Jimin closed his locker next to mine. "You know, I'm your best friend. Don't you think it's weird that you literally don't tell me anything?"
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Who's Taehyung?"
My body froze at that name. "An old friend."
"Friends with both you and Jungkook."
"How did you— What did Jungkook tell you, Jimin?" I furrowed my eyebrows at Jimin.
"Yeah, what Jungkook told me. What Taehyung told me—"
"You talked to Taehyung?" Anger built up inside of me. Why is Jimin even saying this?
"You never tell me anything, hyung—"
"That doesn't give you the right to dig into my life, Jimin. Why did you talk to Taehyung?"
"Hyung, I just wanted-"
"You know what? Nevermind. It's fine." I turned away from Jimin and walked away, not caring to see Jungkook walking towards him.
I don't care.
I do not care.
-
Jungkook and Jimin aren't sitting with me and Hoseok at lunch. They sat at another table.
Jungkook and Jimin moved seats in class.
I do not care.
I don't. I really don't.
Shit.
"Jimin," I grabbed Jimin's wrist before he could walk out of class.
"What?" He coldly looked at me.
I frowned at him. "I- I'll tell you what happened.." I gave in. "I'll tell you everything, just please stop ignoring me.. Please.."
I already lost one best friend before.
"Fine. Go on." He said.
"Not here."
-
"Here?" Jimin raised an eyebrow. "Jesus, you drove me all the way here for this?"
I looked up at my old house, still owned by us. "You're an idiot." I told Jimin.
"And so are you!" He frowned. "It's dark out and you took me like three hours away to a freaking house!" He crossed his arms.
"My house."
Jimin's eyes widened as he looked up at the old, small house. "This is where you lived before you moved to Acacia? Holy shit."
"I know it looks like shit, but it's home."
"A fucking small home." He stated. "I thought you were joking when you said you used to live in a house like this. Dude, you're rich compared to this now." He said as he stepped up onto the porch with me.
"I forgot you were a baby that came out shitting gold." I rolled my eyes as I unlocked the door, feeling nostalgia overcome me.
"Was not!" Jimin whined.
I laughed at that. "You've went to Acacia all your life. You were born there." I said.
"Listen, I'm no Sharpay, but I know damn well that if people can treat themselves, then they will. I just happen to be able to."
"I used to couldn't relate to that." I said.
Jimin nodded. "But, now you can."
I walked to my old room and smiled at all the posters and my old bed. "Perfect." I said.
"Fucking small." Jimin stated.
"Bitch, if you don't—"
"I'm sorry!" He said. "Just tell me what you were going to tell me and why we're here."
"We're here so that I can relive the moment."
"You sound high."
"Whatever." I hopped onto my bed, feeling how much harder it is than the one I have at the other house now. "Listen, you can't tell anyone what I tell you, okay?" I said.
"Promise." Jimin said.
"Okay.." I exhaled. "So as I was on my way home.. the new home, I got a message, right.."
"Right.. Taehyung?"
"Yeah." I furrowed my eyebrows. "Me and Jungkook were together all the time. We grew up together and.."
"Fell in loooove?" Jimin teased.
"Shut up." I rolled my eyes. "He.. Taehyung sent me a message. He told me.."
"What, get on with it!"
"He told me that he and Jungkook had been seeing each other and I cried and fucking cried until I couldn't cry anymore!" I yelled. "And I shouldn't be mad at either of them, but then Tae told me that they had been doing shit together since before I ever left to go to Acacia." I fiddled with the blankets on my bed.
"Hyung,"
"And then Jungkook comes to Acacia and acts like nothing ever happened." I felt tears start forming. "Jimin, I miss him so bad, but he did me so wrong.." I frowned up at Jimin.
"Hyung, do you really think that he would cheat on you?" Jimin asked me. "Do you really think that Taehyung would do that to you?"
I shrugged my shoulders.
I don't know.
"From what I heard, you were all the bestest friends." Jimin said. "And that other guy too, whats his name?"
"Jin hyung?" I smiled. "I wonder if he's awake.." I looked down at my hands.
"Come on, call him." Jimin said.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I already met Taehyung and Jungkook." Jimin said. "I like learning about my best friend's childhood." He told me.
"I don't have his number.."
"Liar." Jimin took my phone. "I've seen it before in your contacts. Invite him over."
"Fine.."
