{Your P.O.V.}

We rush over to where the sounds were coming from. I pull out my handgun to shoot at anything that hurts my poor puppy. 

I stop and take a step back when I see what's surrounding the two growling dogs. 

These weird creatures were cornering them. Uni was hunched in front of Alpha, barking and growling. Even though it seemed like Uni was protecting her, she stood tall and growled twice as loud. 

Cory was the first one to shoot at those things. Which quickly drew there attention to us. The three of us quickly shot them down. One getting to close to us. Too close to me. 

I felt a pressure on my chest that wasn't new.  I bit my lip as I pulled the trigger and it fell to the floor. Regaining my breath I look to Uni and Alpha. 

"Uni! Are you okay?" Cory yelled. He put his gun down and gave him a good look. 

"Oh yeah I'm fine," he turned to Alpha to make she was okay too.  "I actually could've taken them." He looked to Alpha and held his head high. 

"Really? Then we shouldn't have came over here," Adam joked. Cory went along with the joke,  "Waste of time to come and help them huh?"

"Yeah, Yeah. I would've been fine," Uni exclaimed. 

"Like hell you would," Alpha scoffed. 

"Such a big dog now," I laughed. 

"Well, you know, I am a bad-ass," Uni said while Alpha looked at him weirdly. 

I watch them argue for a bit longer. They keep going back and forth about this and that. 

"How you doing?" I asked Alpha. She glanced at me, "Not so well.... Hey (Y/N)?"

I turn my attention to her, "What's up?"

"..I haven't been feeling well, I think I should step down a bit."

"What do you mean?" I gave her a concerned look. 

She looked to me, "I just can't go on missions like this anymore."

"Does it hurt that bad?" I questioned her. 

She turned away and stayed quiet. 

"So Uni, Why'd you run off like that?" Cory asked. I turned my head to their conversation since I knew Alpha wasn't going to talk. I'll tried to talk to her later. 

"Well you see, after you read out that code out loud, something went through me. Like I had to go to where the code told me to go," He tried to explained. 

"Do you know what the code means?" Cory said. 

"No, no. It was just a bunch of number that kinda clicked in my brain. Then I just had to run."

I frown, "That's strange."

Adam looked around, "Well, are we close?"

"I mean, yeah. I think it's close. The numbers are still fresh in my brain," Uni said before walking somewhere. We quickly follow him as he walked away. 

"Uni, do you think whatever is happening cause by the person you were with before us?" Cory questioned. 

"Oh.... My previous owner... well he was pretty old so," Uni kept walking. 

I tilt my head in confusion, What does Uni's past owner have anything to do with the codes? 

We had over to a big hole thingy. It's pitch black and you can't see a thing.  I scan the whole area. This include Alpha. I still have to watch over her. Especially since she says she hurting and can't move around. 

"Cory, the code needs me to go down there," Uni said. 

"Yeah well, we'll see what happens," Cory said looking down. 

I grab his shoulder, "You're getting to close, don't fall."

He shakes his head, "I"ll be fine." 

Alpha whines and I look to her, "What?"

"If you guys find away down, I'm going to stay up here," Alpha puts her head down. 

I raise an eyebrow, "Alpha, What is going on with you lately?" 

"You don't understand what I'm going through," She hissed. 

"Why haven't you told me?" I felt a heat wave over me, "Why don't you trust me?!" 

Everyone turned to us, at this point I didn't care. 

"What's going on?" Cory asked. 

"It's none of your business," I glared at them. 

Alpha stared at me, "I can't tell you."

I face her, a feeling of hurt washed over me. "I cared for you ever since you were a puppy. I've helped you with everything. But you can't tell me why you are hurting this time?" 

She stays quiet. 

"...Whatever," I head to the house next to us, "I'll be inside here." 

All of eyes on me while I walk away from them. I need to cool down, If I wanted to help with anything. 

"(Y/N)!" I hear someone call out to me. I ignore them and walk inside. 

I look around, a bed all the way on the side with a tiny kitchen next to the doorway. I walk towards the bed and sit down.  Leaning over to rest my hands and my face. 

The door opens and I put my head down. 

"(Y/N)... What happened out there?" I bring my head back up to look at the person. Even though I really don't want to.

"You're always here," I said. 

Cory makes his way over to me, "Is that good or bad?"

I force a smile, "Good, It helps me a little." He sits next to me, wrapping his arm around me. "Only a little?" He jokes.  My anger washes away, and I turn to look at the ground.

"I'll... be out there in a bit, I just need to calm down. A little..." I face him again. 

Bad idea, Bad idea, Bad idea!!

He smiles as he looks at me, and leans in to kiss my lips. I blush and pull away, "S-stop that, we need to be focus Cory..." 

Cory laughs at how flustered I was getting, "Fine, Fine. Couldn't help it, you're just too cute!"

"Whatever, I'll get you back," I stated while standing up, "When you least expect it!" I held my hand out to help him out. 

"Sure, Can't wait for that," he grabs my hand and we walk back out.

Adam, Uni and Alpha are waiting for us out there. 

"Took you long enough, what the hell were you two doing?" Adam smirks as he looks at our hands. 

I glare at him, "Don't.. worry about it." I let go of Cory's hand and walk towards Alpha. She doesn't look up at me.

"If, you're going to stay. Stay in there and wait until either Max comes or we do," I pointed to the place Cory and I just come out of.  "I'll leave food and water in there too..."

Alpha finally looks up at me, "(Y/N)..."

"I hope you feel better Alpha," I turn back to the group, eyes gloomy.

Stay hopeful (Y/N), this could be super important. You can't be all sad and not focused now!

"Okay! Haha,, Down we go, into the... black hole," I forced a laugh and looked at the ground. I could feel their eyes on me but I just waited for them to start going down. Take action or something!

Adam pulls out the weird radio that Max had given him. 

'Adam! Adam! Do you read me?!'

"I think someone's radio-ing into me right now," He tells us while looking down at the radio. "Give me a second." 

He fiddles with it for a bit before the voice becomes more clear. 

"Where'd you get a radio?" Cory asks while looking at it.

"Well, you know, got it a little while back," Adam mumbles his words a bit.

Cory sighs, "Is that Max?"

"Mmm I think so, let me try to figure it out," Adam scans over it some more.

"If it's Max, Tell him I hate him," Uni says while look at us.

We turn our attention to Uni, who I'm assuming likes to joke a lot. It's weird being able to hear him now. 

I laugh quietly into my hand, I wouldn't mind telling him that. Max is an asshole.

"This is the first time I got to use this, since they gave it to me," Adam messes with the knobs once more.

Cory points at the knob, "Do that, it still sound like static."

'HEY IDIOT ANSWER THE STUPID THING!' Max's voice yells out from the radio.

"Ugh, that's him alright," I lean into the radio to hear what he has to say. 

Adam smirks, "Welp, That's him! Look who decided to call in."

I could hear the annoyance in Max's voice, 'Thanks for finally answering, moron.'

"Tsk, he's gotta big mouth," Adam hushes and tells us.

'Kinda got some important stuff to tell ya. First of all, Where did you guys go?!' He asks/yells at us.

"Well you see, it's a little bit difficult, Uni went off running and we had to chase him! I mean we didn't want to lose him again, I mean sometimes he get just a little too excited. If we lost Uni, he's so important we might as well call this whole thing off! As well as he's a good friend," Adam explains over the radio.

'Well thanks for the notice, Went out to take a piss and by the time I went inside everyone was either gone or dead.' Max snapped back.

I rolled my eyes.

"Ehhhh. But Max, You won't believe what I'm staring at right now!" Adam states, excited to share the news. "There's this big HUGE hole in the ground. And I don't even know what's at the bottom of it."

'You've gotta be kidding me, You found it?'

"What.. do you mean 'found it'? What did we stumble upon?" Adam questions.

'All the data logs, shipments. They led back to your location. I've been looking for this place for weeks! Thank you for making me feel inadequate.'

"Oh, anytime," Adam says sarcastically.

It's basically my job at this point. I chuckle at the thought. 

Adam clears his throat, "Well uh, Max, I got a question for you. Did you know about the nuke?"

'Yeah, I know about the nuke. It was a big one too. Wonder what it was for. Well anyway, stole the defusion cord. This should sell for a pretty penny.'

"Huh, defusion cord... Do you know anything about this Cory?" Adam moved the device away to talk to Cory(and us hopefully).

Cory thinks for a minute, "Oh, uh yeah. The defusion cord powers the power suits. Wait, wait, Ask him how much."

"Okay, Max? How much to actually get one of these things?" Adam asks.

'Hah, Sorry bud, out of your price range. If (Y/N) kept bounty hunting...' he leads on.

"Keep dreaming buddy," I sighed. 

'Tell you what guys, I'll meet you there tomorrow. Shouldn't take too long to make the hike. In the meantime, go down and check the place out.'

"Psh, Okay then,' Adam scoffs. "Adam OUT... What does he mean? How expensive are those things?" 

Cory looked around, "Power Armor was expensive enough, remember when we bought those?"

"Well, I don't think we bought it. We kinds stole it..." Uni pointed out. 

"No, we let them have to bottle caps. And let them walk..." Cory corrected. 

Adam pulls out his gun, getting ready. "They tried to trick us, remember."

"Yeah well, I don't like being tricked..." Uni looked down. 

Cory sighed, looking down the black hole in the ground. "Well, if Max is going to meet us tomorrow. We might as well see what's down this thing. Maybe try to find a way in..."

"I mean I'm all curious and all. But shouldn't we wait for Max to get here? The more people the merrier. Especially down there, I mean Who knows what's down there. " Adam states. 

We think for a moment, which didn't last very long.

"Nahhh, let's just head down there ourselves. We don't need Max's help!" Uni says breaking the silence. 

"Plus we can see what's ahead," I added.

Cory smiles at me, "Yeah, and if anything goes south. Max will be here by then to help us out."

They still looked a little unsure.

"I'm saying we go for it," I say looking down there. The feeling of curiosity hitting me, and this cat won't die that easily. 

"Alright, we just need a way down now..." Uni says reluctantly.   

I light up, digging into my bag, "Actually! Here, I have some rope!"

"Prepared as always," Adam smirks, while grabbing and tying it to a nearby pole. Hopefully its sturdy enough to hold us. 

I look back to the house where Alpha was in, I hope nothing happens to her while we are gone. 

We make our way done the rope, Cory carrying Uni on his back. Uni didn't seem to want to go down without Alpha. But we convinced him that she'll be fine. 

It was like a void down here, pitch black besides the glowing entrance in the middle. I assume its the entrance because it was the only thing that had an opening. 

This place is just weird, I don't feel safe here.

But when have I ever felt safe in a new place? 

I follow the group as we looked around, many thoughts running through my mind. 

Was this just another bad place? Why am I getting such a bad vibe? Whenever I get this feeling, it never ends good... 

Cory came over to me and smiled reassuringly. Even with that, I still had a bad feeling about this place. 

I walked side by side with Cory as we examine the bottom of the hole..Second hole? How would you even describe this place?

Sketchy.

The glowing opening wasn't that deep, you could easily jump down and be fine. 

Welp, here goes nothing...

(AHDFHDSJK I'M TIRED OF THESE CHAPTERS,,,, seriously its getting harder and harder to write for this book, so Chapters aren't going to come out as fast as before. Right now I have finals and after that is summer!! So maybe by then I can be able to post chapters faster^^ Also, would you guys like shorter chapters that come out every week or longer chapters that take a little longer to complete?)
