Aurelia had spent the next two days after their trip to Richmond doing research and had yet to find anything useful to help her accomplish her goal of getting Kai out of his prison world.

It was Monday morning and Aurelia was waiting for Caroline to pick her up, and while she was waiting, she was on her laptop again looking for information but still had nothing that would help.

Her phone rang breaking her from her glaring match with her laptop screen, "Hello."

"Hey El, are you ready?"

"Yeah, Care I'll be down in a minute." They hung up the phone and Aurelia closed her laptop and slipped it into her bag just to make sure no one else would get it and see what she had been researching that was the last thing she needed.

The Brunette grabbed her stuff for school and headed downstairs, She smiled at her aunt "later Aunt Jenna, Caroline is here, and we'll be late if I don't leave now."

Jenna laughed "All right Aurelia, have a good day." And then the young hybrid was out the door and climbing into her best friend's car.

Caroline smiled at her as they pulled out of the driveway "So any luck with that thing you're looking into?"

Aurelia shook her head "nope, nothing... but I'm not gonna give up, eventually something will pop up that will lead me to the answer that I am looking for."

"That's the spirit El, so have you seen Kai lately?"

Aurelia sighed and bit her lip looking at Caroline "weirdly enough no, it's been two days since the last dream, which is odd it's usually every other night but not this time, when I fell asleep last night, it was like something was keeping me tethered to the real world... I'm kind of worried about him, like since the dreams started this has never happened before."

Caroline parked in her spot at the high school, "I'm sure everything is fine, El, you said it yourself he's the only one in there."

"I know and you're probably right, but I just can't help but worry slightly, hopefully, tonight I'll be able to see him and see what happened."

Caroline nodded as they got out of the car, they walked up and Elena joined the duo, the doppelganger looked at the blonde "Have you even talked to Bonnie?"

Caroline rolled her eyes "No, I'm mad at her. She needs to make the first move."

Aurelia had to hand it to her best friend, she really had them fooled like she had no idea what was going on when Aurelia was telling her everything after it happened.

Elena gave the Forbes girl a look "Be the bigger person."

"Impossible in her presence," Caroline says not giving anything away.

"Why are you so pissed at her anyway?" Aurelia was just letting the two talk, while listening.

"She's a thief, that's why. I gave her my necklace, and she refuses to give it back. It's a matter of principle."

Elena sighed giving her a look "All right. Well, I tried. I'm officially out of it."

"Good. Your turn. Where's Stefan? Have you talked to him?" Caroline said changing the subject.

Elena shook her head "He's avoiding me."

The blonde gives her a look "Why?"

Elena is quiet for a moment, trying to think of what to say since she doesn't know that Caroline knows "...It's complicated." Was what she said and then the bell rang, and Elena had an excuse to leave, so she took it "I'll see you guys later."

"Bye." Caroline and Aurelia said at the same time. After Elena was out of earshot Caroline looked at her best friend "vampire stuff?" she questioned in a quiet tone so as to not be overheard.

Aurelia nodded "yeah more than likely."

Aurelia and Caroline walk past Matt, "Hey."

Caroline smiled at him "Hey." But that was all that was said, and Caroline sighed disappointedly as he walked away.

Aurelia gave her a look "uhhh Miss Caroline Forbes what was that about?"

"I'll tell you later El, we'll be late for class."

Aurelia nodded "all right fine but after school, you are gonna tell me everything."

"of course, El." Then the girls split off since they have different classes, Aurelia has History now and was quite excited about the new teacher she hoped they would be better than Tanner and nicer too.

She walked into the classroom and took her seat as Alaric, the new teacher, prepares for his class.

"Good Morning everyone. Alrighty." [Alaric writes his name on the chalkboard. Elena mouths "Are you okay?" to Bonnie. Bonnie shrugs.

"Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful, I know. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins. My family emigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston. Now the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather I will never be able to thank enough. You'll probably want to pronounce "Alaric" but it's "Alaric," okay? So, you can call me Ric. I'm your new history teacher." Aurelia smiled she already liked him more than Mr. Tanner.

After class was over Aurelia was walking with Bonnie and Elena as Bonnie was explaining her dreams, "And then, I ended up at the remains of the old Fell's church before I woke up back in the woods."

"And you always see your ancestor, Emily?" The sisters ask at the same time making them look at each other.

Bonnie nodded looking at the two of them "Mhm. Do you believe in ghosts?"

Aurelia nodded answering immediately "yes."

Elena hesitated slightly before she answered "Two weeks ago I'd say no, but now..."

"Because I think I'm being haunted."

Aurelia looked at the young Bennett witch "okay so why is this Emily chick haunting you Bon-Bon?"

Bonnie looked at her "Grams said she was a powerful witch back in the Civil War days, and that this medallion was hers. A witch's talisman."

"And it all started when you got the necklace?" Questioned the human doppelganger.

Bonnie nodded "I think she's using it to communicate with me."

"Okay, what does Grams say about it?"

Bonnie shook her head, "I can't call her. She's gonna tell me to embrace it. I don't want to embrace it; I want it to stop."

After that Aurelia, met up with Caroline at her car and the Forbes girl drove them back to the Gilbert house and the two sat on Aurelia's bed and the brunette gave her best friend a look "okay so spill what's the thing with you, and Matt?"

Caroline sighed and then told her what had happened and about the conversation they had outside the school, "I think I like him as more than a friend."

Aurelia smiled at her "I think you guys would be cute together."

"Thanks, El." And then she sighed "ugh I swear all this pretending to be mad at Bonnie is so exhausting... like I really don't care about the stupid necklace."

Aurelia laughed "well, technically the necklace belongs to her anyway, it was her ancestor Emily's Talisman."

A little later Aurelia was in the kitchen with Caroline, Bonnie, and Elena, they were preparing dinner and Elena gave Caroline a look, making the blonde sigh "I'm sorry. There. I said it. If you want the ugly-ass necklace, keep it. It's yours."

Bonnie looks at her a guilty look on her face "Will you hate me if I tell you I threw it away?"

Caroline gives the witch a faux annoyed look "You threw it away?"

"I know it sounds crazy, but the necklace was giving me nightmares. I had to get rid of it."

Aurelia was honestly impressed that nobody had caught on yet that Caroline was faking being mad at Bonnie, "You could have just given it back to me."

The doppelganger gave her a look "Why? So you could give it back to Damon?"

Caroline rolled her eyes "Screw Damon. Are we doing manicures or what? Who has their kit?"

"Mine is in my room," Aurelia answered.

"Mine's in my bag," Bonnie said right after El, and since hers was closer Caroline rifles through Bonnie's purse for the manicure kit.

"So, Elena...how long do you think this fight with Stefan's gonna last? Is it...like a permanent thing?" Caroline asked.

"I don't know, Caroline." Was the answer that the blonde got.

As she was looking for the kit she found the necklace that Bonnie said she threw away and she rolled her eyes at Aurelia, who caught the look in her eyes and had to bite back her amusement, Caroline puts on a faux annoyed face, acting angry, Why are you such a little liar, Bonnie?"

Bonnie looks at her confused "What?"

Elena gives her an astonished look "Caroline!" Caroline holds up the crystal and Bonnie and Elena gape at her in shock.

Bonnie shook her head, looking surprised "I'm not lying to you, Caroline. I swear."

Elena nodded agreeing with the Bennett witch "It's true. I watched her throw it into a field!"

Caroline gives them both a look "well then explain it!" Aurelia shook her head; Caroline deserved an Oscar for her performances on this.

"Emily," Bonnie answered.

Caroline looked confused "who is Emily?"

Bonnie gave her a look "the ghost."

Caroline gives her a mocking look "Oh, the ghost has a name now?"

Aurelia gave her a look that Caroline didn't see since she was looking at Elena who was giving her a pleading look "Caroline, please."

Bonnie spoke to Elena, "I wonder why she won't leave me alone."

Caroline looked between them confused, "What is going on? Why am I not a part of this conversation? You guys do this to me all the time."

Elena shook her head, "that's not true."

Aurelia scoffed and looked at her sister, "actually Elena, it is true, whether you want to admit it or not. It's always you and Bonnie, which makes it seem like you don't really care about her." Caroline smiled at Aurelia at least she knew that she would also have her back.

"Yes, it is. I can't talk to you. You don't listen."

"That's not true."

"I'm a witch."

Caroline gave her a look "And don't we all know it?"

"See? That's what I'm talking about. I'm trying to tell you something. You don't even hear it."

"I listen. When do I not listen?" Aurelia pinched the bridge of her nose; this was going to be a long night... she just knew it. She knew that Caroline was just playing her part but she still could have eased off just a bit, and also Elena annoyed her with that comment from a few minutes ago.

Caroline and Bonnie are talking in a room by themselves. Elena and Aurelia are in the kitchen waiting for them to finish and Aurelia had her sketchbook open, and she was absentmindedly sketching. Until Caroline called out and said that they could come back into the living room.

"There is just way too much drama in this room. So, what do you guys wanna do? I have an idea. Why don't we have a séance?"

Aurelia grinned at her "I like it."

Bonnie looked nervous "I don't think that's a good idea."

The blonde gave her a look "Come on. Let's summon some spirits. This Emily chick has some serious explaining to do."

"yeah, girls this could be fun," Aurelia said as they moved to Elena's bedroom for the séance. They all sat down getting into position.

"What are we doing?"

Elena shrugged at the Bennett Witch, "I don't know."

Aurelia gave the two of them a look "have you never had a séance before? Close your eyes and concentrate."

"Like El said be quiet, close your eyes, and concentrate. Now take a deep breath. Bonnie. Call out to her.

Bonnie sighed and did what the blonde said, "Emily, you there?"

Caroline rolled her eyes giving the witch a look "Really? "Emily, you there?" That's all you got? Come on."

"Fine, geez. Emily. I call on you. I know you have a message. I'm here to listen."

The candles immediately flare stronger, and Aurelia could immediately feel the magic in the room as it happened, but Bonnie didn't seem to feel it. She was still skeptical about all the magic stuff.

"Did that just..." Elena trailed off.

Caroline nodded "Yeah, it just happened."

Bonnie shook her head not believing it "It's just the air conditioning."

"Ask her to show you a sign," Caroline instructed.

Bonnie hesitated so Aurelia closed her eyes and asked "Emily, if you're among us, show us another sign." They wait a moment, but nothing happens.

Bonnie gave them a look "See? It's not working." Aurelia once again could feel the magic in the room before the windows burst open, scaring them, Bonnie shook her head "I can't, I'm done." Bonnie rips the necklace off and throws it on the ground next to the candles, which blow out, scaring her more. "Get the light. Please, get the light!"

"Hold on I got it," Elena said getting up and turning the light on.

Bonnie noticed the necklace was missing "You guys, the necklace. It's gone." The girls are standing in the aftermath of their séance, shocked.

Elena turned to Caroline "Okay, fun's over, Caroline. You made a point, and I get it. Now give it back."

Aurelia scoffed "Caroline didn't take it she's been right here beside me the whole time."

"yeah, I didn't take it." The blonde agreed with her best friend. "so what happened?"

Elena shrugged "I don't know. Nothing. Jeremy, are you home?"

Elena walks into the hall to check for her brother. Bonnie sees the crystal on the floor in the bathroom. She goes in to get it. "Guys..." The door slams shut as soon as she's inside the room. "You guys open the door! Help me!"

Bonnie was screaming through the door and the other girls were trying to get it open but weren't having much luck on that front. then Elena went to check the other door, but they were still unsuccessful until the door opened and Bonnie stood there with her head in her hands.

Elena came back into the room, "what happened are you okay?"

"I'm fine." But there was a difference in her voice that Aurelia noted didn't sound like Bonnie.

Caroline scoffed looking at her "Unbelievable. You were totally faking it."

Elena gave her a look "Caroline, come on."

The blonde shook her head "No! You scared the hell out of me."

"Bonnie?" Aurelia questioned looking at the Bennett witch in concern.

"I'm fine. Everything's fine." Aurelia, Elena, and Caroline are running after Bonnie/Emily, who is rushing down the stairs.

"I can't believe I fell for it," Caroline said, annoyed.

"I must go," Bonnie said and that was when Aurelia realized their séance worked... Emily had possessed Bonnie. And then she left and not locked them in the house for a few minutes.

Jeremy came in the door a little bit after Emily/Bonnie left, and then Elena left, and Jeremy went up to his room and Caroline looked at Aurelia. "wooow that was something... I'm gonna go I'll see you later El."

Aurelia laughed "yeah it was... all right Care, I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"let me know if you see him again, tell me what happened."

"will do Care." They said their goodbyes and the blonde left. Aurelia went up to her room, deciding to get some sleep after everything that had happened, she had hoped that she would see Kai and find out why she hadn't been able to tether to the prison world like she normally can while she sleeps.
