"I'm sorry guys," geno gasped as he was being squeezed and hugged by millions of small worried children.
"I'm better s-see," geno gasped.

Once they finally let go of geno, one brought geno's backpack and handed it to him.
"Hm?" Geno looked at the kid holding his backpack up to him.

"It started making weird fuzzy and static noises from the bottom." The kid said.

"What!?" Geno gasped and looked around, gerson had gone out the room to set up some tables outside for the kids to eat while geno and the kids stay in the room.

Geno carefully took the bag from the kid and quickly dug his hand looking for the object.
"Please don't be broken...." geno whispered as a dozen of small children watched him curiously.

Geno searched for it for a few more seconds before feeling it at the bottom. Geno quickly fished it out and gave a gasp of relief.

The purple radio/walkie-talkie Alphys has given him was still in shape. The dial on the top had been turned to the right, geno turned the dial to the left turning it off.

"What is that?" Mini asked, geno's eye widened, he realized what he had shown them.

Crap! Geno's mind screamed, crap crap, what am I gonna tell them. They might tell death or someone else.

Geno sighed and thought for a few seconds before giving a small smile.
"It's a radio," geno said, he wasn't lying, it was a radio but it was also a walkie-talkie.

"Oh, could it play music?" Fell said from geno's bed where he laid down.

"Uhm," geno shrugged and looked at the purple box. He never really used it before so he wasn't completely sure how to.
"I-i think," geno raised an ' eyebrow ' and hesitantly turned the nob.

Static boomed through the radio, some kids started to cover their years and turn away. Geno quickly shut it off and shrugged, "I guess there's no signal."

Fell groaned, "there's nothing to dooooo," he rolled over geno's bed and jumped to the ground.

"You could play a game," geno shrugged and sat down on the ground.

"There's really not much to play tho," fell yawned but quickly looked to geno with stars in his eyes.

"What...?" Geno asked when caught fells gaze.

Fell whispered something to mini's ear, she smiled and nodded and ran out the room.

"I'm scared," geno joked around and sighed. He laid his head down on his knee waiting for whatever was about to happen.

"Why are scared of a book?" Mini said behind geno.

Geno's eye shot open, he gave a small gasp at surprise when mini appeared behind him.

She walked in front of him and gave him a book.
"The fluffy bunny again?" Geno gave a smile, "you guys made me read this 43 times back at the orphanage."

"You're the only one who can read good though!" The kids giggled and sat around geno.

Geno sighed and opened the book, "fine," he smiled, "But when I'm done you guys are taking turns reading this, deal?"

"Deal!"

Gerson huffed as he pulled some foldable tables outside the backyard of the castle. A small lantern that he carried helped the blue lights from above help him see.

"I'm getting way to old for this," Gerson huffed and sat down, "But retirement is too much work."

"But in the end I guess it pays off," a voice said from behind gerson, "no more work or stress."

"I see work is getting to ya, Kim" Gerson smiled and patted a chair next to him. Dr. Kim sat down and sighed.

"What's wrong?" Gerson asked his friend.

"It's just nothing leads to any answers!" dr.Kim said throwing his hands I'm the air, "I've tried everything to figure this out, but so far I have nothing."

"You do have that little information geno told you about his human friend." Gerson suggested and fixed his hat, "perhaps the human is alive."

"It's don't think so," Dr. Kim said, "But it is a possibility, he wouldn't tell us how they died."

"Well it is a sensitive topic, Kim." Gerson shrugged and looked at the castle, "and I don't think telling monsters you bearly know about how your friend died is a thing anyone would do."

"I know I know," dr. Kim sighed and looked down to his feathers, "But I feel like he's not telling us something important. I dunno, maybe something that has to do with a human soul."

"Don't be so harsh on the kid," Gerson said and looked at Kim, "Death has been keeping things to himself as well. More then lately now, probably because of the dream." Gerson mumbled the last part to himself.

"Well he is the leader," Dr. Kim said nervously, "he must have to keep things to himself all the time for the kingdom here."

"Mm," Gerson hummed but wasn't convinced.

"Look," Dr. Kim said, "maybe I should have an interview with him. Just to get as much as information needed."

"Nope," Gerson said and pointed a finger at Dr. Kim, "when you're stressed out you make monsters nervous."

Dr. Kim groaned and laid his head down the table, "then can you do it? He seems to like you the most."

"Can't," Gerson shrugged and closed his eyes, "if I'm talking to him alone who will watch the kids?"

"Another vampire?" Dr. Kim suggested.

"We both know how that went down last time," Gerson said laughing, Dr. Kim shivered and looked at gerson in confusion.

"I'm not even sure how they duct taped Felix to the wall. When did we even have duct tape!?" Dr. Kim said exaggerating his arms. Gerson laughed some more and shrugged.

Dr. Kim laid he head back down on the table, "then there's only one person left."

"Death?"Gerson said having his eyes closed.
Dr. Kim nodded, "he goes to easy on people, maybe geno will tell him a thing or two."

Gerson shrugged and looked to Dr. Kim with his eyes half closed. "If you really need to get more information I can ask geno to speak with death."

"Than-"

"But I'm not going to force him if he doesn't want too," Gerson said quickly. Dr. Kim nodded 'of course' and got up.
"Thank you gerson, I'll tell death to met him in the castle if I see him. I really should be getting back to the lab though."

Gerson nodded and waved, "don't stress about it too much."

Dr. Kim frowned, "I'll try."

A a cup of hot chocolate steamed in front of geno. It was recently made and set on the table where he sat a few chairs away from death.

Death and geno stared at each other for a few minutes in silence. They both didn't know why they were there.

"......."

"........."

"So," death finally broke the awkward silence, he grabbed his mug and gave a small drink.
"Do you have any idea why we're here?"

"Nope," geno said and stared down at his drink. A few marshmallows popped up and floated on the surface of the drink.

"Well, we're here now," death said taking a few more sips, "might as well talk."

"I guess," geno agreed and took a sip of the hot chocolate, he shivered when he tasted the hot sweet liquid. He quickly put it down and looked at death.

"I think you've seen Cam and Judy gard the tunnel in the mornings right?" death said drinking some more of the hot chocolate.
"I'm thinking about giving them a day off tomorrow, probably at three in the afternoon."

"That's.....nice?" geno said and tried to drink some more of the hot chocolate but shivered again.

"Just a thought," Death shrugged, "But anyways, I think Dr. Kim wanted me to ask you a few questions."

"More?" Geno asked and looked at death.

"I guess," death waved, "But it's okay if you don't answer."

"That's fair," geno said and took a huge gulp of the hot chocolate when he felt it cool down. He coughed a bit when he couldn't drink it all.
"T-that *cough* was a mi-mistake," geno coughed and slightly laughed at what he did.

Death chuckled as geno patted his chest and took a breath of air, "So what is it that you needed to ask."

"You had a human friend, correct?" Death said a bit more seriously this time, geno looked at him and gave a small frown and nodded.

"I guess he wants to know if it's a possibility that the human is alive - "

"They're name is, Chara." geno slightly snapped at death, ".....and no, there's no way they're alive, I saw how...they died."

Death frowned slightly and looked at his half empty cup, "is there a possibility that something else happened, something with their soul maybe?"

Geno's eye slightly widened as he remembered what happened in his dream. The creature that had attack Chara opened a small container and trapped their soul inside.
Geno shook his head, there's no way that happened. It was a dream, when it actually happened geno could only see darkness when he put his head down to hide. He didn't see anything, he just heard.

"Geno?" Death said snapping geno out of his trance. Geno looked up a small bit startled but looked down again.
"No, nothing happened to their soul. I'm pretty sure it....shattered." geno sighed.

Geno struggled to say anything else, a huge lump in his throat prevented him from speaking anymore.

"I'm sorry I brought it up," death apologized, "I don't know if this makes you feel better, but I had a friend who was killed too."

Geno looked up at him, "you did?"

"Yeah," death said give a small sad smile, "if you count her as a friend, but she was my best friend. My mother, she died in the war."

Geno closed his eye and gripped his cup, "I'm sorry, if I could, I would wish that stupid war never happened. The same went for my dad, he died in the war also."

"I'm sorry to hear that," death said and tapped his cup, he thought geno had a family back home, "did...did you live alone after the war?"

"Oh, no." Geno said giving a small smile, his finger trailed around the tip of his cup as he thought about home, "I had two people legally adopt me afterwards, my two mothers. Alphys and undyne. Alphys is this extremely nervous monster but she's also extremely smart and caring just like my dad. Undyne is this loud and energetic monster but is really kind and had a huge heart, heh, even if it don't see it at first."

"They sound nice," death smiled, "did you guys live in a small village?"

"Yes, it was a poor one though," geno said, "when I was adopted by them, Alphys and undyne had to move in order to help support the three of us. Since I'm in this condition they had to buy a lot of expensive things just to make sure I was okay. It was hard, some days they didn't eat just so I could."

"But wasn't Alphys really smart?" Death asked growing more curious,  "did she not have a good paying job?"

"No, even if she was smart she had to work hard in a non paying job just to move up the ranks to royal scientist. Plus she had to keep an eye on me so she had little time to work" Geno frowned, "and undyne worked in two low paying jobs, since she was also injured from the war she couldn't really do much."

"That's horrible," death said baffled, "didn't they have some sort of special pay for soldiers who fought and we're injured in the war?"

Geno shook his head, "no, a whole lot of money was wasted, so none of the three got any pay."

"That's awful, shouldn't they at least get some sort of pay or something to help them?" Death asked completely irritated that this happened.

"They should," geno said, "But they didn't. it wasn't much of a problem for them though, they said they were happy. And just about a year ago Alphys got assigned to royal scientist, and we were able to move to the nice side of the village or the 'capital' as they called it there."

"What happened then?" Death asked.

"Well, I'm here," geno shrugged, "That's what happened, oh....I've been talking for too long. Sorry, heh, what was your mom like?"

Death smiled thinking at the memories of him and him mom, "she was this strong and independent vampire. And she was really beautiful, she was the Leader before me. She had dark green eyes whenever she would use magic, she had more magic than any other vampire combined. She had me when she was young, just about to become an actual adult really. I never really knew my dad, he died when he got sick of low blood intake."

"Oh, my actual mother died giving birth to my brother," geno said, "her soul used up all her magic on him. I think it was only five when it happened, so I don't really remember her."

"Sorry to hear that," death said sadly, "But hey, I guess we're not that different for each other huh?"

Geno looked at him and gave him a smile, "Yeah, I guess we aren't. "

The two of them talked and laughed for a few more hours. They forgot the actual reason why they had to talk, but they were having fun just talking about themselves.

So ya, I uploaded one chapter for everyday for only three days before I leave for a couple of days lol.
