Chapter Four: Your Laugh Echoes Down The Hallway
Emlyn thought she was gonna lose her mind. She could still see Camilla standing over her, but her vision was clouded by a dark haze. She was strapped down to a table, and Camilla was waving her hands and chanting things inaudible. Memories flashed through her mind of all the things she learned to do with her powers; then they were gone.
Camilla was wiping some of her memories; Emlyn could barely remember her own name, and she clung to the memories of her friends, hoping they wouldn't fade. However, Camilla left those she wanted Emlyn to remember, the people she would soon lose at her hand.
At some point, Emlyn lost consciousness and woke up back in the white padded room she was definitely getting sick of. She couldn't remember a lot; she knew Camilla took a lot of memories. "What a great fucking birthday present." She muttered to herself and sat up on the bed and held her head. A migraine was traveling into her eyes on top of everything else.
Camilla entered the room and smiled at her, "do you want anything? I'll be gone for a while, so don't want you wondering where I went." Camilla said, and Emlyn glanced up at her.
"I want some Tylenol; that'd be nice," Emlyn said, her tone empty and annoyed.
"Hmm, how's it feel to want?" Camilla cackled and walked out of the room; her laugh echoed down the hallway.
"What a bitch." Emlyn muttered to herself and laid back down, hoping Stella would find her.

The Storytellers woke up in what appeared to be a forest setting. "Where are we?" Stella asked, looking around.
"I don't know, but it feels like I got hit by a train," Sarah said, rubbing the back of her head.
"Welcome everyone to my little game; I'm about to release a hoard of demons in here to kill you; however, if you can figure out to open the door and escape, you're free to go." Camilla said after suddenly appearing; she smiled wickedly, "good luck." She vanished again and left them to it. The Storytellers watched as black hands began to reach up from the ground, there was a low rumble shaking the entire area, and they could hear the growls of the demons.
"What should we do?" Mystic asked, nearly falling as the ground shook.
"Run," Stella said, and they all took off in opposite directions trying to find a place to hide.
Bob found himself somewhere in the forest, totally lost, then he ran into Sarah. "Oh, there you are. Are you okay?" Bob asked, and she smirked and approached him with a hand behind her back.
"Of course, sweetheart, don't worry." She slowly pulled her hand from behind her back and stabbed Bob in the chest. She removed the knife and watch Bob bleed pink glitter.
"Nice try, demon, but I'm probably the most indestructible one. Also, if your gonna pretend to be my wife, at least learn to talk like her; she would never call me sweetheart." Bob said and laughed, then broke the demon's neck. "Stupid shapeshifter pieces of shit." He grumbled and finally found the door and began working on the puzzle it had to unlock it.
Sarah was about 50 feet away, and a demon slammed her against a tree, "why do you stay with that insufferable fool?" It asked her, and Sarah looked confused.
"Do you mean Bob?" She asked, and the demon nodded.
"Yes, that idiot; why?" The demon asked, licking its black lips and hissing.
"First off, no one gets to call my husband an idiot but me, and secondly," she blasted the demon with ice and smiled at the sculpture, "I love that idiot with all my heart." She said, then headed off running again and found Bob trying to open the door.
"Oh no, not another one of you; stop trying to impersonate my wife!" He shouted and raised his hands, ready to attack. Sarah put up her hands defensively.
"Dumbass, it's me; who's impersonating me?" Sarah said, and Bob lowered his hands.
"Shapeshifter tried to fool me." He replied, still suspicious and Sarah rolled her eyes.
"Of course," she made a snowflake in her hand to prove it was her; demons couldn't impersonate powers. "See, it's me."
"Okay good help me open this door then." He said, and the two started trying to figure out the puzzle lock.
Mystic found herself surrounded by about ten demons, and she readied her wand as they all came at her at once. She blasted several, watching them explode. Another managed to get on top of her and claw at her face. she shoved her wand through its neck, watching the demon convulse and then die. She pulled her wand out of its neck, panting. Zelda ran up next to her and helped her fight off the few that remained.
"Thanks, Zelda," Mystic said, and Zelda wiped the blood from her cheek.
"Of course, now let's go find the others." She said and the two headed off and met up with Bob and Sarah a few minutes later.
"Good, you two are safe; now we just need Stella." Sarah said, "and to get this damn door unlocked."
Mystic waved her wand, and the puzzle began figuring itself out. Stella was close by but found herself face-to-face with Ginger; however, she was in half-demon form.
"You're a demon?" Stella asked, and Ginger smiled.
"The worst of them all, the daughter of Hades ad the devil herself," Ginger said; her hair was bright red, but her skin was black; it had cracks, and inside, the cracks looked like hellfire.
"Wow, that's pretty crazy, anyways..." Stella said, then punched Ginger in the face knocking her out cold. Stella stretched her fingers tighter around her brass knuckles she always wore, then ran off toward the door; she could see in the distance.
"There you are!" Mystic said and hugged her. The door finally opened, and the five of them left through the exit. Ginger had gotten up and gone for them but felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Let them go; they won and put that face away. I don't like it." Camilla said, and Ginger rolled her eyes but shifted back to her human form.
"They know where Emlyn is; they're going to save her," Ginger said, and Camilla nodded.
"Let them; she won't be much use to them now. She doesn't remember how to use her powers or fight; she's dead weight." Camilla said, and Ginger chuckled.
"Well, aren't you devilish."
