Chapter Seven: The Accomplice
The Storytellers arrived back in Americana, and Emlyn led the way back to The White Castle. She slammed open the doors, and the guards ran at her.
"The guards turned to dust in front of my eyes." Emlyn wrote in her mind, immediately the guards were dust.
"You didn't come to play today." Stella chuckled, and Emlyn smiled.
"Nope, not today," Emlyn replied and continued throughout the castle, taking out every guard in her path with the same method. She eventually found Ginger hiding in her office, and she put up her hands.
"Alright, Emlyn, you've made your point. I'd like not to be dust." Ginger said, and Stella looked at Emlyn.
"Please turn her into dust, or something worse, maybe a jackass," Stella said, and Emlyn chuckled.
"Not today, Stella; we need her help," Emlyn replied, and Ginger looked confused.
"Why would I help you?" She asked, and Emlyn smiled.
"Join my side, and I'll write you a happy ending, something demons are typically excluded from, correct?" Emlyn said, and Ginger mauled it over.
"Fine, what do you want me to do then?" Ginger asked, and Emlyn pulled up a chair.
"Have a seat; we have a lot of talking to do," Emlyn replied, and Ginger sat down.
"What do you want to know?" Ginger asked, and Emlyn sat down in a chair across from her. Her friends went to go watch the exits and clean up the mess in the castle.
"What's Camilla's plan here exactly?" Emlyn asked, and Ginger sighed.
"She wants the humans to continue to fight until they all kill each other. Once they are all dead, she plans on going back to the fairytale world and combining the two realms. Then she plans on taking your crown and throne." Ginger explained, and Emlyn was horrified, but she tried not to let it show.
"Anything else you want to add?" Emlyn asked, and Ginger nodded.
"She plans on going after all the realms after that; she wants to rule the whole universe," Ginger said, and Emlyn gasped.
"The whole universe? Is she insane?" Emlyn asked, no longer able to contain her shock.
"I mean, yeah, a little bit. Do you have a plan to stop her?" She asked, and Emlyn sighed.
"Not particularly; I have to go to the New York City library. What I want you to do is go around and start sending those demons back to wherever they came from." Emlyn said, and Ginger nodded.
"As you wish," Ginger said, then left. Emlyn found Stella waiting outside the door for her.
"I still think you should've turned her into a donkey," Stella said, and the two shared a chuckle.
"Very funny, Stella, now come on, we are going to the New York City library; the others can stay here and guard the castle," Emlyn said, and Stella nodded.
"Alright, but how do you plan to get there without Mystic teleporting us?" Stella asked and followed Emlyn out of the castle.
She watched Emlyn open up the garage and select one of her other cars that she had since her last one was destroyed during the accident. "We are going to drive."
"Road trip it is." Stella chuckled and climbed into the car with Emlyn.

It took them only two days to drive to NYC with little to no stops in between. The city of NY was quiet, unlike its usual bustling activity. No one lingered around, and there were only a few cars driving by at some points. The two of them entered the library and headed for the elevator.
Emlyn hit the button for the bottom floor, and the elevator went down slowly till it landed. They exited the elevator, and Emlyn looked at Stella. "Alright, we are looking for a specific book on the 7 deadly sins; Horrace said we would know when we saw it."
"Then we better get looking," Stella said, and the two split off. The downstairs floor of the library was dark and dusty. No one had appeared to have been down there in years. It was like this section of the library was abandoned long ago. A ceiling fan buzzed lightly, and Emlyn finally found a light switch and turned it on.
Now that she could see, she felt discouraged. Nothing was organized; there was clutters and stacks of books in corners and next to shelves. Shelves were rusted and unstable; Emlyn was certain if she breathed too hard on them, they'd topple over.
She took the left side, and Stella took the right; thus they began their search for the mysterious book.
