I was really excited for the trip cause after those horrendous exams I wanted to chill out with my friends , and Noel added more excitement as he was working really hard for Suzie and Will ...
Although Will was little annoyed by him but he handled him well ..

As he was going alone to collect the woods , I took a chance and asked him to take me along ...
Maybe if my luck works I could get some information about Ria and James ...
But his presence is really breathholding for me especially his smile ; when he asked that I shouldn't fall for his smile, weird kind of sensation spread in my heart ...

I should keep myself away from him , I really don't want to fall for his trap of looks .. Atleast not now when I'm still struggling with my old relationship ..

I took a sigh neglecting all weird feelings knitting inside me ...
We roam for more than ten minutes when I again started conversation .
"So !" I asked .
"So what " he asked mischievously .
"You were going to tell me about Ria and James ? " I asked picking some woods.
"Hmmm " he murmured thinking something in his mind looking in air ...
"Should I punch you ? " I asked as it was more than a minute (or months ) for me but he was still indulged in his thoughts .
"Why "he asked in confusion ..
"Maybe your voice stucked in throat , it will come out " I replied sarcastically ..
He smirked ..

"Okay " he took a sigh ..
"Ria and James were best of friends " he said looking at our shoes ...
" What ! " I replied or almost shouted ...
I actually can't believe that . Not after that cafe incident ..
They were more like Tom and Jerry.

"Really " I asked and he just nodded I remained silent as I don't want my curiosity to ruin their story ..
"Ria came to this school in eighth standard and in no time She and James became friends " he added ..
"Although Suzie was her roomate and she never liked us " he turned to look at me but I didn't say anything , obviously Suzie will never befriend boys like them ...
" many times she warned Ria to stay away from us but she never cared about that ...
"They were very close but you know good things remains for a shorter
time , their friendship ended too " he replied taking a deep sigh ...

" What happened between them ? " I asked ...
" I really don't know since when it started but in ninth standard there were lots of rumours that Ria started liking James " .
" But you know James he can't bound himself in commitment , he tried every way to neglect all these rumours and he was really irritated by them ; Ria knew that , that's why she never let her feelings to ruin their friendship and "

flashback

It was last day of exams of ninth class , we all were very happy and playing in the school court ...We made aeroplane of those question papers , played concert in the class making benches our drums and a lot ... We wrote a lot of funny things on back of each other's shirts ...
Everything was going perfectly...

"Let's go to the cafe , we can enjoy their " James shouted ..
" Yeah , I'm calling Suzie too " Ria replied in excitement .. all of us agreed and headed towards the cafe ...
We reached there in no time.
Ria and James was making their plans for vacation when a girl noticed something on Ria's shirt..
"Woooh Ria you never told me that you like James " she told her and everyone turned to look at her ...
"What are you talking about ? " She asked in amusement and tried to see but failed..

I could sense rage in James behaviour , his jaw was clenched and his fist was tightly smashing the coffee cup , rumours was okay but he was never ready for the things like this ..
"Ria likes James " some more girls come and giggled looking at her shirt .
Ria's face reddens because of embarrassment and she looked at James who was infurating with anger ...

"James , I really didn't know who " Ria tried to speak but her voice broke in midway ...She tried to hold James hand but he snatched it back ..
"James " Ria murmured his name in low voice , I could sense the fear in her eyes ...
"You must be very happy now " James spoke after a long silence but his was voice was more like taunt ..
"No James , trust me I really don't know who" her hand was shaking and she is trying to prove herself .
"Just shut up Ria " James shouted loud enough to heard by whole cafe and stood up ...
"James at least listen to her , she can't do it her own" I tried to calm him but he is not ready to listen anything ...
"Yeah definitely she must have asked someone to do it . Am I right ? " He asked Ria raising his brow , all those agitation of rumours he endured till now could be heard in his voice ...
"What do you think of yourself " he asked pointing at Ria and she shuddered in her position ....
Tears welled up in her eyes and I could clearly see pain in them ...
"James come with me " I tried to take him out to lessen the tension but he didn't move a bit instead he pulled his hands away from my grip ...

Everyone around us was looking at them ...
" You know that I don't like you so you came up with this stupid idea " James asked her in hoarse voice and Ria was shaking his head ...
"James I really didn't do anything " Ria replied getting up from her place ...
" I should have known it earlier , you're not worthy of being my friend" he replied and was about to leave when Suzie entered the cafe ...

She came closer to Ria and was amused as she was crying ...
"What happened Ria " she asked looking at her sobbing face ...
"Is anything wrong ? Did they said something to you ? " She asked pointing at us ...
"Who ? Me ! She is crying for her wrong doing" James replied with a smirk and that enraged Suzie...
"I told you they are not worthy of your friendship" Suzie replied with her nasty look , she hold Ria's hand and pulled her ...
"Yeah take her with you may be she could tell you some ways to cling on your friends "
SLAP ...
Flashback ends...

"Really did she slap him " I asked in bewilderment ..
"Yeah " he replied
"I knew that James has crossed the boundary but I never expected that reaction from Ria " he added taking a long breath ...
"I really want them to be together , atleast they could forgive each other "he replied and a glimpse of sadness could be clearly seen on his face ...
"It's too heartbreaking to see two close friends depart " he replied and I just nodded cause I had no words to say to him ...
"Do you think she liked him ? " I asked ..
" Yeah , she did " he replied almost in whisper ...
"Okay " ... We remained silent only our footsteps on dry leaves could be heard ...

"So basically you are helping four people Ria James , and Suzie Will " I spoke to break the silence ..
" Yeah , or may be myself too" he murmured but I heard it clearly ...
"What do you mean ? " I asked in confusion and stopped infront of him looking directly into his eyes but he didn't moved instead he kept his eyes on me making me nervous ...

"People here are too slow to show their feelings , and I don't want to be like them " he replied ...
For the first time I realised that his eyes are too deep like I can see myself falling in them ....
But something hit my mind , I knew or guessed that what he was going to say maybe about us; about me and him and I was not ready for that ...

"I think I left my phone at campsite " I swiftly replied and tried to ran away but ended up on falling on to the ground ...
"Hey are you okay " he tried to help but I got up myself ...
"Yeah , just scratched my hand "I replied looking at my palm ... Dusting soil from my hand , tinge of blood could be seen ...
I was looking at my hand when Noel squat down just infront of me ...
"What are you doing ? " I asked moving backward when he hold my legs and pulled me towards him ..
"Stand still " he replied with a concerned look and tied my open shoelaces...
"You must have fallen because of them " he replied getting up and looking in my eyes ...
It was like he was finding something in me may be answer of my sudden act ..
"Let's go " I quickly turned away my face ...
I can't let him find my feelings ...

"We try to hide our feelings but we forget that our eyes can speak "💝
