Hii Guys......

First of all, let me tell you that this book has made silver jublee....!! Yes, its the 25th as well as the LAST update of 'Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi'.....!! Thank you so much for supporting and encouraging me throughout its journey......I had a great time writing and hope that you all enjoyed it. But please forgive me, if I made any mistake.

When Dev reached the Gujral's house to collect his belongings; he was shocked to see Natasha waiting in the living room. She was not alone; Dr Akash Mittal was also there.

"Natasha....tum kab aayi ? .....main tumhe lene aa jata....." Dev tried to explain

"Dev.....I am sorry.....main tumhe bina bataaye wapas aa gayi...." Natasha interrupted Dev, "I need to tell you something important......main jaanti hoon tum mujhse kitna pyaar karte ho.....par mujhe ab Akash se pyaar ho gaya hai...." She pointed at Dr Mittal, who just smiled and nodded his head.

"Akash bhi mujhe bahut pyaar karte hain....we want to get married Dev" she continued.

Natasha's words were music to his ears. He was surprised that Natasha was still under the illusion that Dev loved her, but he was in no mood to clarify things to her; he was happy she had found someone who loved her as much as she loved him.

He squeezed Natasha's hand, "Natasha, I am very happy for you....Akash is a very lucky man!" He then shook Akash's hands and whispered, "Thank you Akash....I will always be grateful to you...." Akash nodded his head, as he understood why Dev was really thankful. Akash was aware of Dev and Sonakshi's relationship, he also knew about the recent accusations on Dev and he had just found out about Dev's first marriage from a furious Pawan, who had just come back from the hearing.

He took Dev aside and said, "Dev, I am happy for you....main jaanta hoon tumne itne saal Natasha ka bahut achcha dhyaan rakha hai....par ab wo meri responsibility hai....I want to give her all the love she deserves as a woman and a wife...she is special to me..." Dev had tears in his eyes; he hugged Akash and congratulated him once again. He looked at Natasha and smiled at her, "Natasha, I just want you to be happy.....don't worry about me....." Dev did not feel the need to tell her any more details.

He walked upstairs to collect his belongings. He thought, "everyone deserves to be loved in this world....I am glad Natasha has found true love after all...."

As he was about to leave, Natasha gave him an envelope. He opened it to find divorce papers. She said, " Dev, please tell Sonakshi that am returning her love...." Dev smiled through his tears, and did not argue with her; he just thought, "Main toh hamesha Sonakshi kaa hi tha...tumhara kabhi tha hi nahin Natasha..." he knew that her Schizophrenia was treatable but not curable.....some illusions would probably never go away.....but he did not care.....at this point he was not even sure that a divorce would be needed if his marriage to Sonakshi would be accepted by law.....either way, he was the happiest man on earth today.....and could not wait to get back to his love....

Dev arrived at Sonakshi's home.....or rather, their home. Sonakshi opened the door and helped Dev bring his entire luggage inside.

"Sonakshi....main hamesha ke liye tumhare paas aa gaya hoon." Dev put his bags down and put his arms around Sonakshi's waist.

"Parr....Dev...tum Natasha ko kya kahoge??"

Dev took out the divorce papers from his pocket and held it in front of Sonakshi.

"Dev...how can you divorce her?? You had said that you were not a man who would leave a person because if their disability..."

"Sonakshi....I was never married to her....agar hamari Sundernagar waali shaadi is legally accepted then...these papers are not needed but if not....then Natasha herself wants the divorce as she is getting married to Dr Akash Mittal..."

Sonakshi could not believe what she heard. She had been waiting for this day for a long time....the day she could call herself Dev's legally wedded wife. Even though she knew they belonged to each other but the knowledge that they would be united in front of the society gave her great sense of relief.....she would not have to hear anymore gossip about her relationship with Dev.....Ansh could legally be Dev's son.....and she his wife.....She buried her head in his chest and started sobbing, "Dev....mujhey kabhi umeed nahin thi....."

"Sonakshi....yeh haq hamesha tumhara hi tha..... jahan sachcha pyaar hota hai....wahan raaste apne aap ban jaate hain....chahey der se hi....dekho main tumhare liye kya layaa hoon?" he dug into his pocket and took out a box. He slipped a ring into Sonakshi's finger and kissed all her fingers one by one.....

Ansh walked in, " Doctor Uncle! Aap sirf mamma ko kissey kyon de rahe hain...main bhi toh itne din baad mil raha hoon aapsey...." He ran and hugged Dev. Dev picked him up and showered him with kisses too, " Achcha Ansh yeh batao....tumhe Ansh Dixit naam kaisa lagta hai?"

"Ansh Dixit? Wo kaise...aap toh mere papa nahin ho, doctor uncle..."

"Parr..agar ban gaya toh?" Dev smiled

Ansh's face lit up; "sach! Doctor uncle?" he could not believe his ears

"Doctor uncle nahin...aaj se tum mujhe PAPA bulaana...OK" Dev placed him down on the floor and mischievously smiled at Sonakshi, "kyon, Dr (Mrs) Dixit aapko toh koyi problem nahin?"

Sonakshi smiled back and hugged him passionately.

Ansh ran to his room as he was very excited and wanted to call his "Riya bua" to give her the good news.

Dev kissed Sonakshi on her lips, "Sonakshi main chahta hoon hum teeno yahan se kahin door chale jayein...."

"Parr...tumhara job toh yahin hai....GMI chhod ke kaise jaa sakthe ho....you have to become the country's best neurosurgeon..." Sonakshi was surprised at Dev's comment.

"Nahin...mujhe iss country ka nahin balki iss world kaa sabse achcha husband aur father banna hai....neurosurgeon toh main kahin bhi reh kar ban saktha hoon....main GMI mein nahin rehnaa chahta...jis jagah mere pyaar ki aur tumhari itni insult hui hai....wahan main nahin reh saktha...main aaj hi apna resignation de aaya hoon...." Dev kissed her again and did not let go of her; he held her face close to his..... "Sonakshi.....I love you a lot....My life is incomplete without you...please promise to never leave me again...."

Sonakshi whispered, " Main tumhe ek aur baat bataana chahti hoon....ab main chhodne ki soch bhi nahin sakti kyunki....kyunki.....main do bachchon ko akele nahin sambhal sakti ..." she blushed and buried her face in his chest.

Dev was in seventh heaven, he lifted Sonakshi and twirled her around and laughed joyfully. "Sonakshi...Sonakshi....is that true?....Am I going to be a dad again.....?? This is the best news I have heard today...better than anything....you know main apni beti ka naam Drishti rakhoonga..."

"Beti? Drishti? ....abhi se kaise pata tumhein?"she had a puzzled look

"Main jaanta hoon...mujhe bahot experience hai...." He winked

"Achcha...yeh kaun si medical textbook main likha hai?" she challenged him

"Madam....tum aaj itni khubsoorat lag rahi ho....isska matlab beti hi hai....yeh Dr Dev Dixit ki textbook mein likha hai....GOT IT!" They both laughed as they remembered how Dev used to boss around by saying "GOT IT!" after every sentence when they were both students.

A FEW DAYS LATER:

Dev had been acquitted of all the charges against him. His license was re instated again but he had made up his mind to resign from GMI. His department and colleagues were heartbroken but he was firm about his decision.

Natasha and Dev did get a formal divorce after which Dev and Sonakshi had their marriage registered legally so that no one would ever point fingers at their relationship.

Natasha moved to Ooty after getting married to Dr Mittal. She soon discovered that she was also pregnant with Akash's child. Natasha's illness remained stable for a long time. Akash Mittal recognized her early symptoms of relapse and would stay on top of her treatment.

Pawan Gujral was forced to take an early retirement by the Board of the GMI. Dr Gupta became the new dean. Pawan and Sulekha moved to the US to live with their son, Ritwik (sorry Ritwik fans, I did not elaborate on his character as I could not find an appropriate role for him), who was a cardiac surgeon in Washington.

Dev and Sonakshi moved to Delhi as there was a new state of the art medical facility coming up there. Some NRI doctors had invested in that facility to make it into a tertiary care center for advanced medical care for people from all over the country. Dev was asked to start their neurosurgery program there. Sonakshi worked as a pediatrician there. They did indeed have a daughter who was promptly named 'Drishti" by Dev, before Sonakshi could change his mind.

If one finds true love in this world, recognize it and stick to it.....IT IS GOOD TO SACRIFICE IN LOVE BUT NEVER SACRIFICE YOUR LOVE ITSELF! Dev and Sonakshi were lucky to get another opportunity to be together...not everyone is that lucky but at the same time...as they say ...TRUE LOVE ALWAYS FINDS ITS WAY.....

Ok, now this very important.....make sure that you read it.

I am sure that you all must be expecting the next update of the Epilogue, but unfortunately I generally run out of ideas when I come to it. Whatever ideas I had, has been used for the epilogue of 'Pyaar Dosti Hai' and 'The Life Changing Bet'.......

But still something can be done about it. The ardent and enthusiastic readers can write an epilogue and I will publish all of them by giving you the due credits......

Many of you may feel shy to write or hesitate....but I think that writing a page about your favourite characters can be a good thing to start with....Never know, you might come up with a FF of your own!!
