From before........

"But why is that? Don't you get your own kitchens?"

"Well... not really.. sir."  Suddenly the man changed his tone to a concerned one that stood in contrast to the more disturbed one earlier.

"Most of them are single men so they don't really have help or any idea of how things go on in a kitchen."
The man answered while his eyes idled as they tried  their best to not to meet Xander's.

Xander however noticed it and wanted to ease the tension that all of a sudden erupted between them.

" Oohh hooo I see so you don't have a woman to prepare things for you". He internally cursed himself for throwing in that  drab age old bland  joke  in to the conversation. But that appeared to be the last straw

CHAPTER 11.

Xander watched the way how the skin around the man's eyes crinkled as he smiled hearing Xanderss words.

His thin lips parted on the way while his eyes went  downcast for a while.

His nature and the way of behaviour was indeed something that would stand in contrast with his outer appearance .

Well Appearances are deceitful they say.

Judging from his reactions and closer inspection, now Xander was certain that he was  not a Mr. Manly  but was a man that reflected a sweet, delicate, docile disposition.

                   Xander could detect the lack of conciet and a hint of introversy around him and concluded his opinion of him as someone  that  preferred to be lead and guided. And not as someone that is  born to claim all.

Someone that preferred to be adored and treasured rather than to be neglected and abandoned.

Someone that would look stronger inside when they are fragile like glass inside.

And for Xander that glass of fragility has once broken.
Once and for all.

And the shattered pieces tore the battered heart of his.
And it bleeed tears of sorrow.
As if there is no tomorrow.

    Someone  that is so incredibly shy as a shrinking violet but would pretend to be a dazzling daffodil before the world.

SOMEONE  LIKE HIMSELF
THAT HAS CRAWLED IN TO A SHELL.....
SAFELY IN SILENCE REMAINING TAME.
AS THEY ARE AFRAID TO FACE THE SHAME

Xander's wave of thoughts was interrupted by the voice of a young girl.

"Eors doesn't need a woman in his life he has meeee..."

A tiny head of a five year old popped out of a the pile of cardboard boxes that were on the other end of the hallway.

She withdrawed herself away from the pile and made her way towards  Xander and  Eros.
            And as she was doing so she tripped and fell of the dusty, rough, uneven concrete floor .

"Harmony !!"  Eros's voice was filled with concern as he took a step towards her.

"I'm okay" Harmony said as she tried to stand back up with the help of her hands.  She dusted her small hands in the dusty top she was wearing.

Her unruly hair was of a dirty blond colour and her pink pouty lips stood out in her round face. The sun-kissed girl shot a look at Xander with her big blue eyes scrunched up.

"Oh really I'm sorry for asking then" Xander smiled. And Harmony giggled back at him.

Kids were never a topic that he adored.

They are cute one can say. But they are also freakish. Constant troublemakers asking nonstop questions messing things up.

   But seeing this dusty child now at a dangerous place like this with almost no proper supervision made him curious.

Xander went near her and bent in one knee.

"Would you like to have some candy?"
Xander asked so that he would make friends with Harmony.

What child in the world doesn't like a free candy?

But instead, at his question from the  sunny cheery child's face, light diminished.

She took a step back to have a proper look at Xander. And even Eros who was evesdropping looked their way.

Taking another step backward Harmony bent in to the face of Xander , who was still kneeling on the floor still.

Blinking her clear blue eyes Harmony spoke

"Arrre.... You... The Guy From Last Night?"

Harmony asked from Xander.

      Having no clue or any idea of what she is speaking of Xander looked at Eros whose face was blushed with embaressment.

"Urrh.. Harmony that's enough.!"

"I'm sorry if she bothered you sir"
Shotting a threatening look at Harmony Eros spoke.

"Ohh well no that was nothing. She is actually a sweet girl". Placing his plam in Harmony's cheek Xander spoke.

"Hay would you like to come to my place and spend sometime together?"

Xander felt like he had found a new interest.

Harmony sucked her breath with an amused look on her face...
"Oh wow you have never ever  taken me away on trips like  you do to my brother. So is today my chance.?" 

Evernthough Xander had zero idea of what Harmony is talking about he decided to play along.

"Yes finally it is your turn"
He spoke with a smile making Harmony elated.

"Yippie Harmony jumped in to the arms of Xander and eventhough she was almost like a dirty rag the energy eithin the girl made him not to retaliate. Not even a single bit.

"Harmony!  it is not the same person."
Eros voice appeared to be irritated and his tone threatening.

This turn of events was something Xander was unprepared for but he decided that things have taken a turn for the better.  He was there in order to find another fling yet this turn of events made him rethink that decision.

Probably. Probably he would make a friend out of this. Who knows?
Yet still he was u sure if that friendship was something he wanted.

"Oh come on! Don't be too harsh on this kid man" holding Harmony on his hands he answered the hesitating man.

"Yapp Big brother it is... the same one.... they have the same car. Down there I saw"

    Pointing her finger out of the window harmony spoke. She was rejuvenated and appeared to be proud of her observation as she has defeated a mand twenty something years older than her.

       Eros stopped his work and came near them and Harmony knew that was the end of her plans she was taken from the hands of the confused by the hands of the aroused.

"What is she talking about?" Xander was so  curious  as he old gossipy self emerged back.

"Well that was.... Umm.. well its not something that I think you'd enjoy listening so please excuse me sir. It's something silly and stupid "

Eros spoke trying to hide  his visible uncomfortableness before Xander.

As he was really to put and end to their conversation by saying so Harmony  stopped her struggle to free herself from his grip.

" She lifted he head that was resting in Eros's shoulder and looked in to Eros's eyes with her firing eyes."

Then these words left her pouty lips.

"Well that's not a nice thing to say about your boyfriend brother"
