Eros's story.

The day was coming to an end and Eros knew it was time for him to return back to the house.

A house that isn't like any other. A house filled with so many people.
A house filled  with rules and regulations and a house that is for orphans.

Eros was.glad that this time he was able to work near home because the last time he worked for "The Ideals" was in Mexico and the worked continued for days and months and he was getting worries about Harmony. Because she was left alone at a place there was no peace and harmony.

One reason why he was elated at the news of the latest construction he is working for the company is the reason that it bieng so close to the orphanage he grew up in.

That way he could keep a close eye on Harmony and watch for her safety as well.

With the situation there rather ironically  the construction site that is open to all types of dangers and accidents had become a place that he  found safety  for her.

It was a place where they were treated like trash and decisions rash, could even make then loose their lives.

            Eros had seen a boy who was bested by a belt,untill the skin on the backside of his thigh ripped.
The girl who was dragged by her hair for refusing to obey them and Xander could.still recall the pain caused by the slap he received twelve years ago when he was subjected to THAT kind of a treatment.

The orphanage was not a place where one could openly engage in such conversations because it had been a long rooted thing there.  Abusive behaviour was more than tolerated and rather encouraged.

Eros when he was an early teenager  had men in their late twenties beating him up and speaking to him in a language he didn't understand much and now being a grown man of that said age he is exactly aware of what was going on.

And boy I could tell that he is not the happiest at his descovery.

As he was nearing fifteen he knew that something was off about the place. He realised that the social circle they were allowed to interact was shrinking.

Infact its shrunken down forcibly by the orphanage authority.

The  orphanage's kindergarten was a place where other children that are not of the orphanage could come as well. It was their only way of connecting to the outer world apart from going to the park or bieng taken out by an elder.

Eros always wanted to go out with his so called elders in their twenties  back then but literally nobody wanted him to tag along.

Eros was a late bloomer and was not much gifted in the beauty department back then. Puberty did wonders to his body and the ugly ducklin became a Swan at the end of the day.

Eros remembered William who was his friend and Kelly, the girl who complaint about him pulling her hair as well.

The incident went little too far and Kelly parents came to  the kindergarten to complaint about the incident. And that's how the friendship of the three began.

Kellys' parents were at first quite concerned about her overly exaggerated description on the  way how she was harnessed and the taboos about orphaned children only fueled  their fear.

But once they got to know the calm natured, docile,  Eros with his demure qualities they were more than attracted and rather hooked to this young chap.

Kelly's  parents wanted to adopt him and bring the two together and quiet surprisingly the authorities at the orphanage didn't like that.

Harmony opened the gates and ran  in the orphanage as it was almost  getting dark. And  even though it was nearing seven O clock Xander walked towards the orphanage hoping to have a warm bath and  make some nice meal for both Harmony and himself.

Both of them were as dirly as hell after the day spent in the work place. For an example Xander still had the wood cuts on his cloth and speck of wood and wood dust thick to his thick black hair.

As the two reached the door Harmony stopped galloping and shut her mouth closed.

The two entered the place and walked to their room on the second floor.

Once they settled in their room Harmoney went to her basket of cloths to find a good pijama set.

Once the cloths were sorted out Xander took Harmony to the right end of the second floor where the bathrooms were.

On their way their they heard a sobbing sound from Jack's room.

Eros ear's rose in confusion and from his own past experiences and more than twenty years of living here he could tell what had happened to him.

Poor Jack.... He would get used to this.
In fact he must get used to this!.

It is the law of survival that is  served here. Everyone must take care of themselves and everyone must ensure all the pain.

Everyone except Harmony however.

Harmoney was taken special care of. Eros would not let anyone abuse  her let alone come near her due to what happened to her elder brother.

It was the wake up call of back then  Eros who was in his early twenties. Harmony was a really small girl, smaller than her age and barely spoke.

One night her brother unknowingly passed away for reasons best know for him only.

His body never found and the police never in formed.

Nothing much was spoken about Frank and no body at the moment speaks nothing as well.

So made forgotten that harmony can not remember who that was even.

Jack? Jackie?
Eros knocked on the door and after a while Rachel opened the door.

'Rachel?"  Eros asked in question.

" Harmony wait for me in the bath " Eros asked Harmony she gayfully  galloped her way towards the bath.

" What happened? " Eros asked her and she closed the door behind him and leaned against it. As if she was the one that was tired after a long day of work.

" He was slapped and now his cheek  is bleeding" she said liking towards Eros with teary eyes.

Eors could see that she really needs a shoulder to cry on at the moment.

"Is he okay now?"
Eros asked wrapping his arms around her and  securing her in his strong masculine arms .

She appeared to be fragile and almost broken at the recurring abusive behaviour of the grown ups here and no one could blame her for being so, as  they were getting worse and worse everyday.

"Yap almost sleeping". She said after a while breaking their hug.

She gave him a half smile. Her  lips dampened by tears  were twitching as she ties to fight back her tears of anger.

She withdrew from him and fixed her hair and gave him a half smile.

"Are you sure you two are okay?"

Eros asked and Rachel  nodded in response.

She gave him a confused look as if she just hit earth and shot him a glance with her squinted eyes.

"Wait by the way what are you still  doing here? Arnt you ordered to be at  9 pm. MAN YOU GOOTA WORK FAST. You  still smell like shit and sweat!"

Rachel spoke in a hurry as if she was on fire.

"Huh really" Eros said as if he didn't know a heck about it in a confusing time .

"Yap where is Harmony? I'll take care of her you go and get ready." Rachel said making Eros hurry for her men's bath  in the third floor.

Watching  him leave Rachel thought "I hope you'll be okay Eros. Cuz you never know what danger may say stay on your way."
