The coldness enveloped the couple. Shu hugged Lui more tighter shivering in coldness. "Where is this ambulance?" Lui asked annoyed.

The officer smiled. "They are on their way. The storm is not helping either"

"He will be dead when they arrive. Look, he's shivering and there are a lot of blood and cuts" Lui said again.

Shu groaned slightly lifting his head wincing slightly from the striking pain. But he muster a smile. "I'll be fine Lui, just don't worry too much"

"I didn't ask for your opinion. I'm still mad with you" Lui said.

Shu pouts snuggling to him more muttering. "How rude"

After a while an ambulance came and the two got in. In seconds they were already at the hospital. They took Shu to a hospital room to cover up his wounds. Lui went inside with him. Shu looked genuinely scared. He looked at Lui with a pleading look which Lui quickly understood. Don't leave him that was what he saying. Lui nodded slightly walking up to the bed as a doctor came in and check out his wounds. 

"You have a lot of cuts. I think we should put medicine now or they will infect" He said looking at Shu. 

Shu gripped on the bed but nodded. One of the things Shu hated the most is getting shots and when someone put medicine to his wounds. But Shu nodded taking a soft breath. Lui went to him taking Shu's hand to his. "Don't worry. It'll be over soon"

Shu sighed spacing out a bit. "Lui, don't you think you should be with your mom now? She need you now"

"I called dad, he said everything is okay and a new doctor came to do her surgery. First let's patch you up snowflake" Lui said ruffling his hair.

For Shu it felt like forever. It took almost an hour to clean up his wounds and patch them up. Shu wanted to pass out till it finished. But he was awake the whole time. The only thing that kept Shu from screaming was Lui who held into him tightly hugging the albino until everything was finished. Lui caress his cheek as his other hand was holding Shu's hand tightly.  "Done" The nurse said. 

Shu let out a relieved sigh. "Finally"

The nurse chuckled. "You should've thought what you'll have to go through before you do something"

"Exactly" Lui joined her. 

Shu gasped. "Betrayal" Shu said turning to Lui. "You're supposed to be on my side"

The nurse smiled at the two as she walked out of the room. Then the door opened again revealing Kazuki and his friends. Shu gulped giving Lui an uncertain look as Lui glared at the boys. But to everyone's surprise Kazuki walked to Shu and placed a hand on his head almost affectionately. "I heard everything, are you okay?"

Shu blinked in pure confusion. He just hung his mouth open staring at him. Kazuki smiled softly ruffling the albino's hair before pulling him to a hug. Shu didn't pull away he was too shocked to do it. He just stayed the way he was. After few seconds Kazuki pulled away. "I hope you're okay Shu"

Shu nodded. "Y-Yeah"

Lui crossed his arms. "What're you-" But before he could finish his sentence Kazuki hugged him. Lui gave the same reaction as Shu frozen to the spot. He kept his embrace with Lui for a while. Shu just tilted his head as Kazuki pulled away. 

"I'm glad you're fine. I'm going to see your mom now. See you two later"

The two boys watched as the blonde haired boy left the room. Lui walked to Shu and sat down beside him. Shu gasped dramatically. "I think the good fairy came to meet Kazuki and punished him and he's a good boy now"

Lui chuckled. "Oh really?" He said playing along. "That's good then"

Shu grasped his shirt. "No it's not good whose going to be the villain now"

Lui smiled smacking his head slightly. "Shut up drama queen"

Shu smiled alongside with his as he placed a kiss on his boyfriend's cheek. Lui frowned. "Are you trying to be good with me again?"

Shu covered his face with his hands squeaking. "Oops caught red handed"

Lui ruffled the younger's hair smiling. "Don't worry. I'm not mad with you"

"Yay" Shu cheered jumping to his arms making them both fall over the bed. Lui started to tickle Shu's sides making the other double over laughter. Shu suddenly winced. Lui pulled away. "Sorry, did I hurt you?"

Shu shook his head sitting down. "I'm fine". Then he got up extending his hand to Lui. "Let's go and see your mom"

Lui took his hand pulling himself up as he nodded. The two walked along the halls of the hospital. There was no one outside her room. So both of them walked in. Lui smiled seeing his mom sitting on the bed as Lucy and Liya hugged her tightly. "Mom" Lui said running to her and hugging her.

She smiled. "There you are. I was wondering where did you go"

Lui snuggled to her. "I'm glad you're okay"

Mrs. Shirasagi patted his head lovingly. Shu waited by the door watching the scene with a smile on his face. He didn't realize there was another figure inside the room standing right beside the bed with Lui's dad. After a while he registered the person. "Dad" He asked as the man turned to him. Mr. Kurenai smiled opening his arms. 

Shu ran to his father's open arms. "When did you come?'

"I came to do her surgery." He said. 

Lui's dad smiled. "She's alive because of your dad Shu"

Shu gave him a close eyed smile. "Thanks for saving mom's life" Lui said walking to them and standing beside Shu. 

Mr. Kurenai looked at Shu again. I heard what you did."

Shu bit his lips and hung his head low his white bangs covering his eyes. Mr. Kurenai took his son's hand making Shu look at him. "Wanna talk?"

Shu nodded silently as his father turned to the Shirasagi family. "We'll be back" 

Lui looked at Shu who was standing behind Mr. Kurenai. He made a face at Lui and mouthed wish me luck I'm dead. Lui smiled giving him a thumb up. Shu scowled mouthing rude. The two walked out of the room back to the room where  Shu stayed. After they entered he closed the door and stood in front of Shu crossing his arms. "You're in a big trouble young man"

Shu nodded. "I know"

"I'm mad with you and you scared me you know that too right?"

"Yeah"

Mr. Kurenai uncrossed his arms and knelt in front of him. "Let me see the wounds"

Shu nodded silently taking off his white sneakers. Mr. Kurenai silently check up on him. Then he pressed a hand to Shu's forehead checking the temperature. "You have a slight fever"

Shu nodded again. Mr. Kurenai placed a hand on his cheeks and smiles. "Don't be so scared. I'm not going to punish you Shu"

Shu blinked. "You aren't mad?"

His dad frowned. "Of course I am but I can't blame you when you're in this state and it's not like you did a bad thing you helped to catch bad guys but still you're still a young boy Shu, these things are not for you"

Shu sighed. "I know, I'm sorry dad"

Shu's dad gave him a dead serious look. "You have to promise me you won't do those things again"

Shu nodded. "I won't. I promise"

Mr. Kurenai sat down beside him on the bed as Shu turned to him again. "Dad are you going to tell mom?"

His dad gave him an amused huff. "What if I do?"

Shu pouts. "Please don't. If you told her she will probably tell me to come back to America and then I'll have to leave Lui here and all of my friends and then... uh... and then " Shu looked at him with big eyes. "Believe me dad my life would be over"

Mr. Kurenai stared at his son for a second and then burst out laughing. Shu scowled poking his dad. "Stop laughing. I'm being serious here"

"Okay okay" He stopped laughing as he placed his hands over Shu's shoulders. "Listen Shu, I won't tell her but you shouldn't break your promise"

"I'll take care of that" A voice came from the door. 

Both of the turned to see Lui standing by the door. Shu blinked. "How long have you been?"

Lui huffed. "Long enough to find out you're such a drama queen"

Shu's dad started to laugh again. "I am not. I'm just stating the facts"

"Sure" Lui said with a smile. "And don't worry dad said Shu can stay at our place for few days. Until we make sure everything is okay"

Mr. Kurenai smiled. "That's reassuring. I believe in my future son in law after all"

Shu squeaked. "Dad!!!!"

Everything went smoothly after that. It felt like everything is turning back to normal. Shu moved to Lui's house for few days. And Kazuki well... he started become more affectionate over Shu. Eventual hugs and patting his head became a normal routine. At first Shu became suspicious about these affection then he shrugged it off thinking maybe he really had changed. It was a Saturday and Shu didn't have any plans. He walked downstairs looking for anyone of the Shirasagi family. 

He hasn't still moved to his house. He felt someone hugging him from behind. Two pair of hands wrapped around his waist. Lui rested his chin against Shu's shoulder. Shu tried to pry away the hands. "Lui quit it. Your sisters will see-"

Shu was cut off by Lucy's voice. "Ooh is this a hugging competition"

Shu tried process what she said as Lucy ran to him hugging him tightly. Liya was also watching the scene. "I'm going to win" She said running to him and hugging his arm. 

"Hey get away from him" Lui snarled. 

"Why?" Lucy asked innocently as Lui sighed. 

"Cause... uh... we're going to visit the ice rink today"

"Ice rink?" The other three asked in sync. As Lui nodded. "Yeah others said they're coming too. So, it's a hangout with friends"

"Aww man" Liya pouted. "I wanted to join you guys too. But let's go in another day. Besides that doesn't sound like friendly hangout to me" She said winking leaving them behind. 

Shu blinked. "Wow your sister is grown"

Lui snorts taking his boyfriend's hand. "Let's go get ready"

Once they reached the ice rink Shu realized what Liya said was true. This was no friends hangout. It was only two of them. There was none of his friends and there was other people at the rink but they were total strangers. Shu looked around. "Um... where are the rest of our friends?"

Lui crossed his arms. "What friends? It's only you and me"

Shu smiled as a blush covered his cheeks. Lui took both of their skates and they stepped to the rink. Actually Lui kind of dragged Shu to the rink cause Shu exactly didn't know hoe to skate. "Lui" He said clinging to his arm. "I don't know how to skate idiot"

Lui gave him a proud smirk. "Don't worry snowflake, I'm a pro at that I'll teach you how to"

But it was hard teaching Shu cause he refused to let go of Lui's arm. "Shu you have to hold my hands"

"I'll fall down"

Lui took his hands and laced their fingers together. Shu stared into Lui's eyes as he gave the albino a reassuring nod. Shu nodded back shakily as they started to skate across the rink. Halfway through Lui let go of Shu's hands.

"Woah" Shu said falling flat on his back. He pouts looking up at Lui. "That hurt"

"You have to fall down in order to learn" Lui said giving his hand to the albino which he took gratefully. This continued for a while until Shu got tired and he practically crawled to the bars of the rink to keep his balance while holding it. 

"I'm tired sharkie boy" Shu said panting slightly.

"You are a fast learner. It took me a whole damn day to get that two idiots to skate" Lui said.

Shu chuckled. "Shinki and Katana?"

Lui just nod as Shu spoke again. "But I'm bad too, I still can't skate straightly I simply crawl" Shu pointed out.

But before Lui could answer him someone took Shu's hand and dragged him to the middle of the rink. Shu clung to the person's arm trying to figure out what's going on. Then he suddenly pulled him forward making the albino stare into ocean blue eyes. The person was Kazuki. He smiled wrapping one of his arms around Shu's waist looking to his red orbs and smiled. "Nice to see you Shu, Wanna skate with me?"

Shu didn't pull away neither answer his question. He was just staring. Lui watched the scene from aside his arms crossed over his chest. First he thought of stopping Kazuki but stopped when he saw Kazuki taking Shu across the rink almost gracefully while Shu just kept staring in shock but for Lui he wondered whether it's shock or something else. Lui clenched his fists as he walked outside of the rink. Kazuki smirked seeing Lui storm away then he pulled away from Shu. 

"That was nice. See you later" He said skating away with his friends. Shu blinked trying to figure out what was exactly going on. He looked around searching for Lui but when he found no sign he frowned and walked outside to see the dragon blader sitting on a bench nearby and his eyes had a longing look.

"Why did you left?" Shu asked sitting beside him.

"Had fun with your new friend?" Lui asked without even sharing a glance. 

"I was shocked too. Like I never thought Kazuki would do that" Shu said thoughtfully.

"Yeah yeah. Let's leave I want to go home now" He said standing up and leaving Shu behind. 

Shu blinked in pure confusion. He thought of telling Lui that Kazuki is just a friend but kept his silence thinking maybe a little bit of isolation would cool him off. So he walked in silence behind Lui. His hands clasped behind. Shu stared at the dragon blader thinking back to Kazuki. What is he doing? Shu questioned from himself as he fastened  his steps to catch up with Lui.

The days passed by. Shu moved to his apartment again. And Kazuki had been acting weirder and weirder. He always show up when Lui was around and act so affectionate to him out of nowhere. Then he vanish to thin air. Also because of these things Shu felt like Lui and him was drifting away from each other. Kazuki didn't give him chance to stay alone with Lui just like he's stalking him. And it always ends up with Lui getting frustrated and storming away.

Shu sighed cleaning up the last of the music room. It was his day for cleaning. He put up the music sheets and clasped his hands together "That's all for today" He said thoughtfully turning to leave the room.

But before he could do that two hands grabbed onto him and slammed him to the wall forcefully. Each hand slam to the wall behind him. Shu looked up to see Kazuki smirking at him. He licked his lips leaning down to Shu's ear. "Let's see how tasty you are"

Shu's eyes widen as he tried to pull away the male but Kazuki was too strong for him. "K-Kazuki stop" 

But Kazuki leaned down cutting off the space between them as he pressed his lips against Shu's. Shu didn't kiss back he stayed frozen into the place. Then when he realized what he was exactly doing he tried to push Kazuki away. 

Lui shuffled through his bag to find his music notes but when he found none. He sighed. "I must've left them in the music room"

Lui took his bag as he made his way to the music room. When he opened the door he saw two boys kissing. Lui frowned. "Ewe gross. Kissing here in school"

Then he looked more precisely to see that the person was Kazuki and the other who he was kissing was... Shu. He clenches his fists slamming them in the nearby wall. "What the hell is going on here?"

Right at the moment Kazuki pulled away. Shu's cheeks were flushed and his hair was messier than usual. His red orbs kept staring at the dragon blader who looked like he can kill both of them. Kazuki smirked looking between the two as he wrapped one of his arms around Shu. "Babe I think it's time to tell that you're with me"

*drum rolls*

You guys are seriously going to hate me now cause,

1. I updated after like two weeks or so

2. I just came and tell you that boom there love life is over.
