Two days flew by without talking and even looking at each other. Their friends watch the two of them stuck inside their own isolated worlds. Lui and Shu trained like crazy to get out all of the emotions of their hearts. The nationals was coming soon and both of them wanted to fight well. Shu doubted it. With hurting wrists it wasn't easy to launch his bey. But he ignored the pain just like he tried to ignore him.

Shu woke up with a huge headache. It was a Saturday. Nationals starts tomorrow Shu thought bitterly as he popped two pain killers to his mouth and drank some water. He hadn't gone out except for school. He just locked in himself and used the bey stadium inside the apartment building to practice. He even ignored the concerned phone calls of his friends. Now when thinking about it he felt guilty. They were his friends. They deserve to know about him. "Maybe going outside today and breathing fresh air would do some good" He said to himself as he got up from the bed.

Shu stepped outside as he closed his door behind him. Shoving the keys to his pocket he walked along the familiar path which lead to the bey park. Since it was a Saturday and the nationals are coming soon surely the beyclub would be there he guessed. His thoughts drifted to Lui again. "He must be practicing" Shu thought. He kept his eyes trained on the ground. Shu knew that Lui went out with that girl and he knew that Lui went out with several girls right in front of him. Nothing seem to hurt more than the glare he shoots whenever he sees the red eyed male. He sighed. There was no tears left inside his eyes to cry. He cried himself to sleep and even the thought of the breakup was enough to tear him up but now all the feelings had left him. He was just like a robot numb and closed to all the things.

As he reached the bey park he heard the familiar chatter of his friends. Surprisingly they weren't blading. They were sitting by the grass and talking more like yelling with each other. Shu stopped watching them from afar. His mind wavering between two thoughts should he go and talk with them or should he not. Daigo was the first one to notice him. He turned to others again. "Guys I think that's Shu"

Everyone snapped their attention to the figure standing by the road. "Shu" Valt said running to the boy. Shu forced a smile as the group enveloped in a group hug. After few seconds they all pulled away.

"We were all worried about you." Honcho said looking at the albino. "Why didn't you answer our calls or even messages?"

Shu ducked his head in shame. "Sorry"

Valt smiled taking his hand. "It's fine. You had lot going on after all. Come on I brought my mom's beybread. It can make anyone happy"

A smile tucked Shu's lips instantly. Valt always knew how to draw out a smile from him. They all walked to the spot where they were and sat down in a circle. Shu stared at the Spryzen bey bread in his hand. His thoughts draw back to the day of their first kiss. Sitting just like this and suddenly Lui confessed him. Everything felt like a distant dream.

"Shu" Wakiya called. Shu looked up to see all of them staring at him. "You're crying"

Shu blinked. He didn't even realize when tears started to flow from his eyes. He quickly wiped them off muttering a sorry. Daigo sighed setting his food down. "Shu, we're your friends. You can tell us anything. Spill it all believe me you will feel relieved after that"

Shu stared at him he spoke the first thing that came to his mind. "I miss him"

Daigo nodded telling him to go on. Shu placed his hands on his lap staring to the distance. "I miss him a lot. I can't even survive a single day without a thought of him. I just can't-" He stopped biting his bottom lip, afraid he might break down.

"Shu" Valt whispered slipping his hand to Shu's and giving it a comforting squeeze. "We're here for you. Everything will be alright."

Shu shook his head. "No, he hates me" He said no longer trying to hide his tears. He thought he had no tears left to cry. But turned out he needed a good cry. Suddenly Shu jumped to Valt's embrace and broke down. He spilled all the tears that was left of him. Valt looked startled for a moment but he eventually wrapped his arms around the albino patting his head soothingly. 

The group looked at each other dumbfounded. They knew that Shu was on of the strongest people they know. They used to see him as a perfect figure. Seeing him this broken and tattered broke everyone's heart. "I can't live without him Valt" Shu said sobbing. "I just don't know what to do"

They kept their silence as Shu continued. "I-I just wanna k-kill myself. But I'm scared, I'm scared that someday there would be a day Lui might need me and when that happens I want to be there for him."

Wakiya looked alarmed after the sudden confession of Shu. He walked to the albino and took his hand. Shu pulled away from Valt and looked at him. When Wakiya suddenly pulled up his sleeve revealing the bandages his eyes widen. "S-Shu..." Wakiya said in disbelief. 

"You didn't..." Daigo muttered.

Shu looked away avoiding there gaze. "Sorry," He said again. "It just happened. I can't stop it"

Honcho got up and took out his lollipop. Shu had only seen him do that when he was battling. He looked straight at Shu clasping his hands together. "Alright guys, let's have a sleepover at Shu's place everyone in?"

Before Shu could even realize it they were walking to their apartment.

3 2 1 let it rip

Lui launched his bey to the hundredth time for the day. His hands felt like burning and aching from all the pain. He stared as Longinus spun around the stadium. It wasn't nearly powerful as the other launches. His mind wasn't focused to his bey. His mind was flying to the albino. He collected his stuff and headed home but as soon as he reached his home Shinki jump out from nowhere. 

"Where are you going shark boy?" 

He looked back to see Gou Shinki and Katana looking at him. Lui scowled. "What are you all doing here?"

"We came to see you. You hardly ever talk to us. Much less answer our calls" Gou pointed out as Lui huffed.

"Just leave"

"We're having a sleepover at your place" Katana said with a smirk.

Lui have them an are you serious look. "Who gave you the permission? That's my house and you are not invited"

Shinki smiled as Lui's mom came outside from the house. "Oh you three are here. Come on, Lui would love to have a sleepover with all of you"

Lui's jaw dropped as he turned to his friends. "My mom invited you all...?"

Gou nodded as he entered the house. After a while everyone gathered in Lui's room. Shinki decided to speak. "So Lui, how's it going?"

Lui didn't answer him. He kept his silence. "You know Lui, by dating those girls and boys you're hurting him. A lot more than you think"

Lui walked to the window and leaned against the windowsill. "He won't. He's already with Kazuki. It's not like I want to date them. I'm just trying to get him off my head. No one can replace him. He's just special. Those whiny brats only wants to say hey I went a date with that famous Lui Shirasagi. Everything I do kept me thinking about Shu. You guys won't believe it on our first date Shu kept fussing about a shark toy." A smile crept from his lips and two drops of tears flow down his cheeks. 

"Every single thing reminds me of him. Everything. I'm just trying to take him off my head. But he's like a drug I'm addicted to." Lui punched the wall aggressively. 

Gou stopped him. "Lui, listen to me, talk with him. Talk with Shu. He is a kind person. He'll understand you"

"I'm not sure he needs me. I need him in my life. But I don't think he needs me"

Gou placed a hand on Lui's shoulder. "Lui, just calm down. Everything will be okay"

"Yeah" Shinki said. "Let's watch a movie. You favorite his horror genre right? Let's watch a horror film"

"Shu hate horror genre" Lui said with a longing face.

Katana stopped and face him. "Okay no more depressing thoughts for the night. Time heals everything buddy. Don't worry two of you are made for each other. No one can break you apart. Trust in your love for him"

Shu stared at the dark room. The beyclub was sleeping on the sleeping bags which was placed inside his room. The guys kept a closer eye for him the whole day. Shu sat down pressing his back against the hard board of the bed. 

"Can't sleep?" A voice said startling the albino. Shu looked up to see Honcho.

Shu shook his head. "Everyday had been like this so far"

"Wanna talk?" 

Shu nodded moving away patting the spot beside him signalling Honcho to sit. So he did they just kept silence for a moment as Shu spoke in a low voice afraid that he'll wake the others up. "Do you think he hates me?"

Honcho looked to the boy. Even though it was pitch black inside the room the glowing of Shu's red eyes and his pale was evident. "No" Honcho said. "Look Shu, both of you are idiots. You don't realize that both of you are hurting yourselves without each other's presence"

"Honcho, have you ever loved someone?" 

Honcho almost choked his own saliva. He looked at Shu to see his innocent and curious gaze. "Uh... I had few crushes but nah... haven't loved anyone still"

Shu hummed thoughtfully. "I thought you had. You're a good looking guy after all"

Honcho chuckled. "Thanks for the compliment. You're like the innocent little brother I wanted but never had"

Shu blinked. "But you have a little brother"

"Trust me, that's why I added the innocent part. My brother is a little devil"

Shu unconsciously leaned against Honcho yawning slightly. "I also wanted a brother. But unfortunately I'm an only child"

Honcho smiled seeing the sleepy face of the boy. He wrapped one of his arms around Shu. "Sleep Shu, you have to battle tomorrow."

No answer came from him. Honcho looked down to see Shu, sleeping peacefully in his embrace. The following day Shu woke up with a good mood. After long days he finally felt today everything will be okay. Everyone walked to the WBBA building. Many of the participants were already there when they arrive. Valt was chatting excitedly.

Lui was early. He walked along the hallway of the WBBA to find a practice room. Kazuki walked to him. "Well" Kazuki talked as Lui shoot a glare at him. 

"What do you want?"

Without another word Kazuki pulled out his phone and played a voice recorder. It was Shu's voice.  Lui was sure about that but the words he was saying cut through him. 

"This is what he said to me" Kazuki said playing the record.

The record

Shu: I didn't love him. It was just a game. I like playing with people's hearts. So why should I change now. But seriously he thought this is a serious thing. Poor thing. I broke his heart I guess. Who cares? I'll always find a new one anyway

Finish of the record

Lui's eyes widen. So He really played with his heart. Nothing could stop that. Kazuki smirked when he saw Shu arriving behind him. "So what do you say now Lui? You still believe him?"

A small crowd including the rest of the supreme four had arrived. Xander and Zac shared glances unsure of what to do. "What's going on?" Shu asked taking a step forward. 

"Enough" Lui yelled making Shu flinch. He took a step back.. "I've had enough of you. Stop playing with my feelings" 

"L-Lui, W-What are you..." Shu trailed off seeing the hatred glare of the dragon blader. Gou arrived there and tried to talk to Lui but Lui took a step toward Shu.

"I loved you. Loved you from all of my heart. I let you see the sides of me that I never let anyone else see. But after all this you... for you all of this was a game. I wish I never met you. I wish I never trust you." Lui spat out. 

"Lui I don't think" Zac said interrupting him. But a small voice stopped him.

"No" Shu talked. "Let him talk. " Everyone turned to him. Shu raised his head looking straight into Lui's eyes. "Was that all? Tell something again. Curse at me. If you hate me so much just kill me. Everything would be over by then wouldn't it?" Shu yelled.  "You're right Lui, I'm too nice to people. I trust them too much that always end up hurting me. You're the first person I loved like this. You're the first person I opened myself into. You're the first person I trusted this much"

Shu covered his mouth to choke down the sobs after few seconds he talked again. "If you don't want me in your life. I'll leave, I won't come back. I thought... I thought you changed, I trusted when you said you didn't hurt me on purpose that day" Shu gave out a dry laugh. "It's all just an illusion isn't it? You haven't change. You're the same person I used to hate. Cruel, Cold and the person who doesn't have any emotions. I'm too dumb to trust you." Shu spun around in his heal and ran. He didn't even look back when his friends called after him.

Lui just stayed frozen to the place when Gou came. "Why did you do that?" Somehow Kazuki had forgotten to turn off the recorded voice. And it played again this time it was something else. Everyone else fell silent as they hear the voice from the phone. 

The Record

Shu: Mitsuki, What is this script? It sounds pretty dark

Mitsuki: Oh it's something I need for my drama classes.

Kazuki's eyes widen as he cut off the record. Lui turned to him his glare was enough to bring Kazuki for a cold sweat. "The hell was that?"

Kazuki gulped. "It was nothing"

Lui grabbed his collars and slammed him to the wall. "You planned all this didn't you? You did all on purpose and I..." Lui trailed off. Thinking back to the hurtful expression Shu had. Lui remembered his words. "I'm such an idiot"

"Glad you finally agreed" Xander snapped. 

Lui turned to Gou. "I'm going after Shu, make sure this guy is dead when I come back"

Gou blinked. Lui didn't wait for an answer as he sprinted off after Shu. The beyclub had already chased after him. After few minutes he saw Shu and his friends near the road. Shu was crying his heart out. "Shu" He called out. 

Shu looked at him in fear as he took a step back toward the road. "What're you doing here?" Wakiya yelled at him.

"Shu listen" Lui said. 

Shu took another step back he was already on the middle of the road. Then suddenly a loud sound of a car could be heard. Lui's eyes widen as he realize Shu was on the middle staring at the car in shock. He heard the beyclub crying in alarm. And everything happened in slow motion. Lui saw the car hitting Shu making his body fly over and rolled along. The next thing Lui saw was his boyfriend's still body laying on a pool of blood.

*drumrolls* Please don't kill me for this. 

Well... I don't exactly know what to say XD. Okay I have some things to do now. Hope you all like this tragic chapter. Will Shu die? Who knows. Okay all then have a nice day.
