PART 1
ladies and gentlemen
a son is a son till he gets himself a wife, but
a daughter is a daughter all her life
The stage lit up with a bright, vibrant light as the music began. Nandini, dressed in a beautiful, flowing lehenga, stepped onto the stage, her eyes sparkling with confidence.
paapa ki pari hu mai, o o o o o
aayi mai aayi nile gagan se, laayi mai laayi taaro ko chun ke
mere liye jo bana hai, sun le jahaan tu chhupa hai
paana mujhe mushqil hai, phulo jaisa mera dil hai aa kar dekh le
paapa ki pari hu mai, o o o o o
She began to dance, her movements fluid and carefree, as she sang about being a daughter, a "papa ki pari" (papa's darling). The other girls joined in, their colorful costumes and energetic movements creating a lively atmosphere
hu mummy ke dil me ik baat aayi jaldi se ladki ki kar do sagaayi
ladake ka pahale photo dikhaaya phir mujhse puchha pasand aaya
maine kaha na re na naa naa na
ladka jo dekhane aayega mujhko
na mai sharamaaungi na palake jhukaaungi
Nandini acted like feeling shy blinking her eye
na muskuraaungi na mai rijhaaungi, na mai usko chalke dekhaaungi
flashed a dazzling smile, her eyes sparkling with confidence, before striking a pose and sashaying down the stage with a catwalk dance.
chaahe kahe vo mujhse vaah vaah vaah vaah
mere liye jo bana hai, sun le jahaan tu chhupa hai
paana mujhe mushqil hai, phulo jaisa mera dil hai aa kar dekh le
paapa ki pari hu mai, o o o o o
its our world its our life
its our world its our life
sab ki sunungi dil ki karungi, aise-vaise ko mai na chunungi
maine ye kab se soch liya hai, parakhungi usko phir ha karungi
varna kahungi usse jaa jaa jaa jaa
As the song progressed, the dance became more energetic, with intricate footwork and rapid hand movements. Nandini spun and twirled, her lehenga flying around her, as she sang about being a strong, independent woman who wouldn't settle for just anyone.
hu mera jo hoga kuchh aisa hoga jo pyaar ban kar dil me rahega
mummy ko meri samajhega mummy, paapa ko mere paapa kahega
phir mai kahungi usase haan haan haan haan
her arms outstretched and her eyes shining with tears, as the music faded away and the crowd erupted into applause once more.
mere liye jo bana hai, sun le jahaan tu chhupa hai
paana mujhe mushqil hai, phulo jaisa mera dil hai aa kar dekh le
paapa ki pari hu mai, mai, mai, mai, mai, o o o o o

The crowd cheered and clapped along, as all girls joined her wpty thier father's. The music reached a crescendo, and the girls struck a final pose, their arms raised in triumph as the audience erupted into applause.
His eyes were glued to her, his heart pounding in his chest as he watched her mesmerizing performance. He couldn't help but feel a rush of pride and admiration for this beautiful, talented woman who had captured his heart.
As Nandini hugged her father, laughing and chirping with joy, His eyes locked onto hers, his voice barely above a whisper:
"I'm born to be yours, baby girl."
His words were a gentle promise, a heartfelt vow that only she could hear. Nandini's laughter faltered for a moment, as if she sensed someone's intensity of gaze. She looks around found no one.
💞💞💞
"Mummaaaa....." Nandini shouted entering the house with joy about to hug her but her mother Ishita Shikawath stopped her
"Stand right there" Ishita said sternly and went inside.
"Pops is mumma is going to throw me out of the house?" Nandini question biting her nails feeling nervous.
"Aisa kuch nai hai" her father Raman Shikawath consoled his crazy daughter.
Nandini's mother arrived with a plate of chili peppers. She took a few and circled them around Nandini's head and body three times. "I don't know how much evil eye my child must have gotten," she said concernedly.
Nandini flung her arms around her mother's neck, hugging her tightly as she proudly held out the trophy. "Mumma, I won the dance competition!" she exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement and joy. Her mother's face lit up with a warm smile as she hugged her daughter back, tears of pride welling up in her eyes.
Ishita's eyes sparkled with pride as she kissed Nandini's forehead. "I'm proud of you, my bacha!" she exclaimed.
Just then, Raman chimed in, a hint of mock hurt in his voice. "Seems like someone has forgotten about me," he said dramatically, feigning neglect.
Nandini squealed with delight, "I love you, my superhero!" and hopped onto Raman's back, wrapping her arms around his neck like a little kid.
But their warm, cute moment was short-lived, as a voice interrupted them. "Hi, Aunty! Hi, Uncle!"
Ishita's face lit up with a warm smile as she turned to greet the newcomer. "Manik beta, come inside! When did you come?" she asked, welcoming him with open arms..
Manik walked in, bearing gifts, and handed them to Raman with a smile. "Today morning, these are some gifts for you all," he said.
Raman raised an eyebrow, "What was the need for all this?" He placed the gift-wrapped boxes on the sofa beside him, his expression a mix of surprise and curiosity.
Manik just smiled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. Then, he turned his attention to Nandini, who was engrossed in her phone. "So, how are you, Chipkali?" he asked.
Nandini shot him a deadly glare, her eyes flashing with annoyance, before returning to her phone, ignoring him completely.
Ishita's voice held a hint of reprimand as she addressed her daughter, "Nandu!" She glared at Nandini, subtly reminding her to be polite and acknowledge Manik's greeting.
Nandini flashed a mock smile, showing off her full set of teeth, her eyes still sparkling with annoyance. "I'm fine, Godzilla," she retorted, her tone dripping with sass.
Raman and Ishita exchanged a knowing glance, shaking their heads in amusement. They were well aware of the perpetual banter between Nandini and Manik, reminiscent of the classic Tom and Jerry rivalry.
Despite their constant bickering and attempts to one-up each other, it was clear that deep down, they cared deeply for one another. They were like two sides of the same coin, always ready to trade witty barbs, but also fiercely protective of each other when it counted.
Ishita stood up, a warm smile on her face. "Manik, get freshened up, I'll serve dinner at the table," she said, already heading towards the kitchen.
Nandini quickly followed suit, running behind her mother to help with the dinner preparations. "Mumma, let me help!" she exclaimed, eager to assist.
Manik, meanwhile, nodded and headed off to freshen up, a look of anticipation on his face for the delicious meal that awaited him.
The family gathered around the dinner table, the aroma of delicious food filling the air. Nandini, eager to help, offered to serve everyone. She carefully plated each dish and handed them out, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
As she finished serving, she placed a small bowl of gajar ka halwa in front of Manik. But instead of the usual smile, Manik's eyes narrowed suspiciously as he looked at Nandini, then at the halwa.
Nandini's eyes widened in mock innocence as she protested, "What? Don't worry, I didn't put poison in your food!" She emphasized each word.
Manik, still slightly suspicious, decided to take a cautious approach. He scooped up a generous helping of the gajar ka halwa with his spoon and tentatively took a bite.
The moment the halwa touched his tongue, his eyes widened in shock. His mouth was set ablaze by an intense, fiery heat. It was as if Nandini had emptied an entire container of chili powder into his bowl, transforming the innocent-looking dessert into a spicy inferno.
Manik's face turned a deep shade of crimson, his eyes misting up from the intense burning sensation. But, determined to give Nandini the satisfaction of seeing him suffering, he continued to eat the spicy halwa, tolerating the scorching heat.
He took slow, deep breaths, trying to calm the flames that seemed to be dancing on his tongue. His eyes watered, and his nose began to run, but he refused to stop.
As the dinner came to a close, Ishita and Raman excused themselves, heading to their room, oblivious to the impending drama.
Meanwhile, Nandini's eyes widened in surprise as Manik continued to eat the spicy halwa, spoonful after spoonful. She had thought that after the first bite, he would throw in the towel, but instead, he seemed determined to finish the entire bowl.
Nandini's face contorted in a mixture of concern and amusement as she tried to intervene, attempting to grab the spoon from Manik's hand. "Manik, stop! It's too spicy!" she exclaimed, but he refused to listen, his jaw set in determination.
"Manik, please stop it!" Nandini cried out, her voice laced with distress, as she watched him continue to suffer through the spicy halwa. His face was a deep, fiery red, a clear indication of the intense discomfort he was enduring.
Despite her initial intention to prank him, Nandini's concern for Manik's well-being began to override her mischievous streak. She couldn't bear to see him in such distress, and her expression softened with worry.
Manik's eyes locked onto Nandini's, his gaze burning with a mixture of challenge and determination "You only wanted this, right? You wanted me to suffer," he said, his voice low and husky, as he continued to eat the spicy halwa.
His eyes never left hers as he added, "I'm just fulfilling your wishes, Baby Girl." A sly smile spread across his face, and his voice took on a flirtatious tone. "Fulfilling your every wish is my topmost priority."
Nandini's patience finally snapped, and she exclaimed, "Enough!" With a swift motion, she forcefully took the bowl away from Manik and threw it aside, as if to put an end to his self-inflicted suffering.
Her expression softened slightly as she turned to him, concern etched on her face. "Here, have this honey," she said, holding out a small jar. "It will help minimize the burning." Her voice was gentler now, a hint of care and worry evident beneath her tough exterior.
Manik's eyes locked onto Nandini's, his voice filled with affection as he said, "I'm sorry, Jaan. I was late, but I saw your performance." He gently took her hand in his, his touch warm and reassuring.
Nandini's gaze met his, a hint of a pout still evident on her face. "I know I don't need to see you Manik. I can feel your presence. I knew you were there," she said, her voice softening slightly.
But her expression turned playful once more as she complained, "However, you were late. You weren't there to see me receive my trophy. I wanted to take it in your presence." Her eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief, as if she was enjoying teasing him.
Manik's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, his voice filled with affection. "Okay, Baby Girl, I'm sorry. Is my punishment over, or do you want to punish me some more?" He leaned in, his fingers gently caressing her cheek, his touch sending shivers down her spine.
His gaze locked onto hers, his eyes sparkling with amusement and adoration. "I'm all yours," he whispered, his voice low and husky, surrendering to her whims, and leaving himself vulnerable to her mercy.
Nandini's expression softened, and she looked at Manik with apologetic eyes. "First, have some honey. What was the need to eat that spicy halwa whole?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern.
She reached out and gently took his hand, her touch warm and soothing. "I just wanted to punish you a little. I thought you would throw it away or make a face, not eat the whole thing," she explained, her eyes filled with remorse.
Her voice dropped to a whisper, and she added, "I didn't mean to hurt you, Manik. I just missed you at the competition, and I wanted to play a small prank on you. I didn't think it would hurt you this much."
