Part 5

Ishita hurriedly made her way to the door, slightly out of breath. "Arey aa rahi hu, sabar karo," she said with a warm smile.

As she opened the door, a bright light from the hallway spilled into the room, illuminating Ishita's gentle features.

Ishita's eyes widened in surprise as Sanskar walked into her home without so much as a greeting. She was taken aback by his boldness, and her instincts told her to be cautious.

"Who are you?" she repeated, her voice firm but laced with a hint of uncertainty. However, Sanskar ignored her question, his eyes scanning the room as if taking in every detail.

Rahul, his PA, and Devid, his personal bodyguard, followed closely behind him, their faces expressionless. The air seemed to thicken with tension as Ishita's unease grew. She didn't like the feeling of being invaded, and Sanskar's silence only added to her apprehension.

Rahul stepped forward, his voice smooth as he made the introductions. "Mrs. Shekhawat, this is Sanskar Maheshwari, and I'm Rahul, his personal assistant."

Sanskar's gaze pierced through Ishita, his eyes burning with an intense question. "Where is my sister?" he demanded, his voice low and commanding.

Ishita's expression faltered, confusion etched on her face. "I...I don't understand. Who are you talking about? Your sister doesn't live here. Maybe you're mistaken?" She took a step back, her eyes darting between Sanskar and Rahul, searching for answers.

Rahul's eyes rolled inwardly as he mentally face-palmed, thinking, "Uff, sometimes the boss doesn't think things through. How would they know who his sister is?"

But before he could intervene, Sanskar asked again, his voice firm but laced with a hint of desperation. "The child you adopted, Gamya...where is she?"

Ishita's eyes widened, and she took a step back, as if trying to process the revelation. The air was thick with tension as Raman, who had been taking a shower, rushed into the hall, his hair dripping wet, and his eyes scanning the room for answers.

"What's going on?" Raman asked, his voice firm, as he positioned himself protectively beside Ishita.

Ishita's voice trembled as she turned to Raman, her eyes welling up with tears. "Raman, he's saying Nandu is his sister...no, this can't be happening!" she cried, her words laced with desperation.

She turned to face Sanskar, her eyes blazing with a mix of fear and defiance. "She is our daughter!" she declared, her voice firm. "Get out of here! Your sister is not here!"

Raman's expression turned stern, his eyes narrowing as he stood beside Ishita, his arms wrapped protectively around her.

Raman's voice was firm and stern as he spoke, but beneath the surface, a hint of fear trembled. "How can we trust you? Nandu is our daughter. You can leave now." He tried to convey a sense of confidence, but the thought of losing his only daughter sent a shiver down his spine.

Sanskar's eyes flashed with anger, his fists clenched at his sides. However, he took a deep breath, reigning in his emotions. He didn't want to do anything that would jeopardize his relationship with his sister or the people who had cared for her all these years.

Rahul stepped forward, his eyes locked on Raman. "Sir, there's something you should see." He handed Raman a file, his expression somber.

Raman and Ishita exchanged a hesitant glance before opening the file. Their hands trembled as they pulled out the contents, and their eyes widened in shock. The earth seemed to slip from beneath their feet as they stared at the photo of a young Nandini, with a boy.

The room fell silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the four individuals. "It me and my sister, hope now you don't have any doubt" Sanskar said.

Ishita's voice was barely audible as she whispered, "But how? The owner of the orphanage said she had no one when we adopted her..." Her eyes were filled with a mix of confusion and shock.

Sanskar's eyes darkened, his jaw clenched in anger. "He lied about my sister," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "He only cared about the donation, nothing else mattered to him."

The room seemed to grow colder as Sanskar's words hung in the air. The implication was clear: the orphanage owner had been motivated by greed, and had callously disregarded the truth about Nandini's past. Ishita's eyes filled with tears as she thought about the consequences of that lie.

Sanskar's words were like a knife to their hearts. "I'm here to take her, I'm her family," he stated, his voice firm and resolute.

Ishita's eyes widened in panic as she felt her world crumbling around her. She took a step forward, her hands clasped together in a desperate plea. "No, please don't!" she cried, her voice cracking with emotion.

"She's the reason for my survival, please don't take her," Ishita begged, her words tumbling out in a frantic appeal. "I beg you, please don't rip her away from me. She's my daughter, my everything!"

Ishita's words trailed off as she turned to see Nandini standing in the doorway, her eyes wide with shock and confusion. The color drained from Ishita's face as she watched her daughter's world begin to crumble.

Nandini's voice trembled as she spoke, her words laced with desperation. "Mumma, what am I hearing? What does he mean by my biological brother? And why are you pleading with him?"

She took a step forward, her eyes searching for reassurance. "Pops, you said na, this is all a prank, right? Yes, this can't be true," she said, her voice cracking as she tried to hold back tears.

The room fell silent, the only sound Nandini's ragged breathing as she struggled to come to terms with the revelation. Ishita's eyes filled with tears as she watched her daughter's innocence shatter, her heart heavy with the weight of the truth.

Raman's voice was laced with desperation as he tried to reach out to his daughter. "Beta, listen to me," he pleaded, but Nandini stepped backward, her eyes filled with a deep-seated pain.

"Nandu, princess, please hear me out," Raman begged, his voice cracking with emotion.

But Nandini's voice was firm, her words laced with a sense of desperation. "Am I not your daughter?" she asked, her eyes searching for reassurance. "Yes or no, Pops?"

Raman's hesitation was palpable before he uttered the words that shattered Nandini's hope. "No."

The room seemed to freeze as Nandini's face crumpled. She felt as though she had been punched in the gut, her breath knocked out of her.

"Why?" she yelled, her voice echoing through the room. "Why didn't you tell me before? And I have a brother?" Her eyes blazed with anger and hurt. "Why did you separate me from my brother? Why did you keep me in the dark?"

Nandini's words were laced with a deep sense of betrayal. She felt as though her whole world had been turned upside down, and she didn't know who to trust anymore. The parents she had worshipped and loved unconditionally had lied to her, and she couldn't help but wonder why.

Ishita's voice was gentle as she tried to clarify the misunderstanding. "No, Nandu, we didn't know about your brother," she said, her eyes filled with a deep sadness.

But before she could continue, Sanskar's voice cut through the air, his words dripping with emotion. "They knew," he said, his eyes locked on Raman and Ishita.

Raman and Ishita exchanged a shocked glance, their faces pale. "What do you mean?" Raman asked, his voice laced with confusion.

Sanskar's voice cracked as he continued, his eyes welling up with fake tears. "They knew about me. I begged them not to take you, to not separate you from me, but they ignored a 10-year-old boy's pleas."

Nandini's eyes widened in horror as she listened to Sanskar's words, her heart heavy with the thought that her parents had knowingly kept her apart from her brother. She didn't notice the calculating glint in Sanskar's eyes, the subtle smirk that played on his lips as he manipulated the situation to his advantage.

The word "broken" seemed trivial compared to the anguish that ravaged her heart. Her pulse quickened, and her eyes turned red from relentless tears. Lost and uncertain, she grappled with a daunting question: whom to trust? Her parents, who had nurtured her with unconditional love and care, or a stranger claiming to be her biological brother.

She recalled the old photograph, a snapshot of her childhood, and her heart wavered. Though her heart yearned to trust her parents, her mind played a cruel trick, sowing seeds of doubt and confusion.

Sanskar's heart ached seeing his sister in pain, yet he felt a sense of joy and relief at being reunited with her after so long. He remembered the little 2-year-old she was, now grown into a beautiful young woman.

But he knew his journey wasn't over yet. He was determined to prove the truth and bring his sister back into his life, fighting against the obstacles that had torn them apart.

Sanskar thought, "Gamya is my sister, and I have every right to be in her life. She's my family, and I'm her protector. No one else can love her or care for her like I do."

"I know this isn't easy, but trust me, I've searched for you all these years," Sanskar's voice trembled with emotion. "I tried everything to keep you with me – begged, fought, cried – but no one listened." His tone turned cold. "But now, I won't let anyone take you away. Please come back, Gamya. Your brother is waiting for you." In that moment, Sanskar's usual strength gave way to vulnerability.

Nandini's gaze locked onto her parents, and with a surge of determination, she searched for the truth. Her simple yet powerful words, "You are lying," shattered Sanskar's calculated facade. The master manipulator, known for ruling the business world with cunning strategies, was undone by her straightforward assertion.

Nandini's words momentarily caught Sanskar off guard: "For a moment, I fell for your words, but I know my parents. I don't need proof to see their innocence." Her unwavering trust in Raman and Ishita shattered Sanskar's plan to drive a wedge between them.

Raman and Ishita exchanged a warm smile, their hearts swelling with pride and love for their daughter's loyalty.

"I may not know you personally, but I'm familiar with your reputation," Nandini said, her eyes locked on Sanskar's. "You're known for being ruthless in business, turning tables to your advantage, and taking control no matter the circumstances." Her firm tone conveyed her unwavering conviction.

Rahul and David were stunned by Nandini's sharp insight, having never seen anyone see through Sanskar's facade so effortlessly.

Sanskar, however, felt a surge of pride in his sister's perceptiveness. "That proves you're my sister," he said. "No one's been able to read me like that before, but you did, Gamya."

Nandini's irritation flared. "It's Nandini, not Gamya. My name is Nandini Shekhawat. Got it, Mr. Maheshwari?"

Sanskar's response was unwavering. "Nandini Maheshwari."

Nandini's eyes flashed with defiance. "And I don't care what you think or say."

"As if you do," Sanskar chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "You're still as stubborn as you were as a child."

Nandini rolled her eyes, wiping away her tears. "Please leave my house."

Sanskar's expression turned firm. "Not without you."

"I'm not going anywhere with you," Nandini declared, her voice resolute. "I'm staying with my parents."

"They're not your parents," Sanskar insisted.

"They are," Nandini said flatly, her patience worn thin. "I'm done with this conversation."

"You will live like a princess, I'll give you everything you want, even before you ask." Nandini, already turning to leave, halted, her back still to him. "luxurious life that they can never afford"

Her voice was laced with anger as she spun around to face him "what do you think about yourself?" She snapped "My parents have given me everything I've ever wanted. I don't need your money"

Sanskar's expression darkened. "I didn't wanted to force you but you didn't let me a chance"
