Part 6

Sanskar's expression darkened. "I didn't wanted to force you but you didn't let me a chance"

Rahul handed Raman a legal notice, his expression impassive. The notice stated that the property belonged to Sanskar, and Raman and his family were occupying it illegally. It threatened strict legal action if they didn't vacate the premises immediately.

Raman's eyes widened as he read the notice, his mind reeling. This was his dream home, built with his life savings, where he envisioned a future with his wife and daughter. The thought of losing it was unbearable.

Ishita's eyes welled up with tears as she gazed around their home, filled with memories they'd created together. She had poured her heart into decorating every corner, and the thought of leaving it all behind was devastating.

The notice seemed to dash their dreams of a perfect life, including their plans to celebrate Nandini's marriage from their own home. Raman's face fell, his eyes fixed on the paper, as if hoping the words would magically disappear..

Nandini snatched the notice from Raman's hands, her face paling as she read the words. Her eyes blazed with fury as she hurled the notice back at Sanskar. "This is a lie! This property belongs to my father, not you!"

Sanskar's smile grew, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, really? How will you prove it, little sister?"

Nandini turned to her parents, her voice filled with determination. "Don't worry, Pops. We have the property papers. We can prove this is our land." Her words brought a glimmer of hope to Raman and Ishita's faces.

But before they could react, Raman's phone rang, shattering their hope. He answered, his expression crumbling as he listened. "Hello?... What?... No, how is this possible?... No..." He sank into a chair, devastated, his family's worry growing.

"Pops, what happened?" Nandini asked, concern etched on her face.

Ishita clutched Raman's cold hands, her voice trembling. "Raman, who called? Please tell us what happened. You're scaring me."

Raman's words dropped like a bombshell: "Our sweet shop caught fire." The weight of his statement sank in, and the family's eyes widened in horror. "The property papers were in the locker at the sweet shop," he added, his voice barely above a whisper.

The news crushed their hopes of proving ownership. Sanskar's smirk grew, his eyes gleaming with triumph.

"I can still help you," Sanskar said, his tone dripping with condescension. He settled into the sofa, his posture regal. "But I have one condition: Nandini comes with me to Mumbai, to the house where she truly belongs." His gaze locked onto Nandini, his eyes daring her to refuse.

Nandini's eyes blazed with fury as she clenched her fists. "You're heartless and selfish," she spat. "You set fire to our shop, didn't you? This is all your doing." Her voice was laced with venomous hatred.

Sanskar remained unfazed by her words, his expression unyielding. "No need to take anything from here," he said coolly. "I don't want any shadows of your past clouding your bright future." His tone implied he was doing her a favor, erasing her past life with her adoptive parents.

"And this is blank cheque, fill your amount you spend on my sister all these years" Sanskar said as Rahul gave blank cheque to Raman "reward for taking care of my Sanskar Maheshwari's sister"

Raman who was sitting silently on sofa all broken suddenly felt anger building up hearing Sanskar, he looks at sanskar like he will kill him there with his bare hands.

"For a second I thought to send Nandu with you, not because of helplessness but because you are her only blood related family. I wanted to give you a chance" Raman stood up looking straight into Sanskar's eyes "but not now, not after you giving a amount like she is not your sister but a commodity"

His eyes locked onto Sanskar's, burning with intensity. "You think my care for Nandu can be quantified by a check?" he seemed to say.

"Nandini is my pride, my honor," Raman declared, his voice filled with emotion. "Even if you were to bring me all the wealth in the world, I wouldn't trade it for my daughter's worth." As he spoke, he wrapped his arm around Nandini, pulling her close. Nandini looked up at her father with pride, feeling cherished and loved.

Raman's words conveyed the depth of his devotion to his daughter, making it clear that no amount of material wealth could ever compare to the value she held in his eyes.

Sanskar's fist clenched, his anger and frustration simmering. He had expected Raman to accept the money and send Nandini with him, but Raman's refusal threw a wrench in his plans.

"Fine, then get ready to beg on the streets, and the guards will throw your belongings out of MY HOUSE," Sanskar declared, his voice dripping with malice.

But Nandini stepped forward, her voice firm. "No, I'm ready to go with you."

Ishita quickly intervened, holding Nandini's wrist. "Nandu, no, we'll find another way. You don't have to sacrifice yourself."

Nandini reassured her mother, "Mom, I'm just going with my brother. I'll be fine, and I'll keep calling you." She looked at Sanskar with a determined gaze. "No outsider can break the bond between me and my parents."

A sly smile spread across Sanskar's face as he gazed at Nandini, his eyes gleaming with a sinister intent. He seemed to be thinking, "After living with me and experiencing the luxuries I've to offer, you'll forget all about your precious parents, my lovely sister." His smirk hinted at a plan to manipulate and mold Nandini to his advantage.

Nandini's eyes sparkled with determination as she thought "Just wait and watch my sweet brother, me aapke zindagi haram kar dungi, itna pareshan karungi ki aap kud muje yaha bej denge" (Just wait and watch, dear brother. I'll make your life a living hell, and you'll be so fed up with me that you'll beg to send me back)." Her smirk hinted at a plan to disrupt Sanskar's life, to push him to his limits and beyond.

The air was charged with tension as the siblings engaged in a silent battle of wills, each determined to outmaneuver the other.

💞💞💞

As David pressed the remote, the gates swung open, revealing a grand entrance. The car glided smoothly into the premises, and Nandini's eyes widened in awe. The driveway was flanked by lush gardens, bursting with vibrant flowers and towering trees.

On the other side of the garden, a gleaming collection of luxury cars caught her attention. The assortment included sleek Bugattis, powerful Veyrons, elegant BMWs, sleek Ferraris, exotic Lamborghinis, and majestic Rolls-Royces. Nandini's fascination grew as she took in the opulence surrounding her.

As Nandini stepped out of the car, her feet sank into the plush red carpet that stretched from the entrance to the mansion. The air was filled with the sweet scent of flowers, and petals gently showered down around her.

An elderly woman stood waiting, holding a intricately decorated thali. Sanskar removed his shoes and stepped inside, rotating the thali around Nandini before applying kumkum to her forehead. "Welcome home, Nandini," he said, his voice warm. "Your home has been waiting for you for a long time." With that, he handed the thali to the elderly woman, and Nandini stepped into her new surroundings.

Nandini's eyes widened as she took in the breathtaking beauty of the mansion. The interior design showcased exceptional architecture, with walls that seemed to exude elegance. The white marble floor gleamed, and the grand staircase curved upward, connecting the floors.

The high ceiling was adorned with intricate designs and lights, adding to the mansion's splendor. A stunning chandelier hung majestically in the center of the living room, casting a warm glow over the space. Nandini's gaze wandered, drinking in the opulence that surrounded her.

"Do you like the house, Princess?" Sanskar asked, his eyes were cold and emotionless.

"I love it, it's so beautiful," Nandini replied, her smile genuine.

Sanskar's smirk hinted at triumph, thinking he'd won her over with the luxury. But his expression faltered as Nandini continued, "Yet, it feels empty. My father's house was smaller, but it was filled with warmth, happiness, and love. This place feels like a mere mansion, showcasing wealth, but lacking a sense of home. Aapki ye alishan bunglow aanko ko khushi de sakti hai par dil ko thandak nai de sakta."

Her words pierced Sanskar's facade, "This isn't a home because there's no one here who truly cares for me." Nandini's voice held a deep longing "these materialistic luxury can't replace my bond with my parents"

A pang touched Sanskar's heart, but his expression remained icy. "Gopi, show Nandini to her room," he instructed the elderly woman, his voice devoid of emotion.

"Ma'am, this way, please," Gopi said, gesturing to Nandini.

Nandini's polite tone surprised Gopi as she said, "Please, just call me Nandini."

Gopi hesitated, "But, Ma'am...you're the mistress of this house."

Nandini's tone turned firm, "No, I'm just a guest here. This isn't my home. Please, call me Nandini."

Gopi looks at Sanskar who gesture her to go on. His eyes didn't left Nandini who walks through stairs.

As Nandini entered her room, she gasped in awe. The lavish interior was a testament to opulence. The rose-colored walls created a warm ambiance, complemented by the plush bed and fluffy mattress. Sunlight streaming through the windows added a rich glow to the room.

A comfortable sofa sat on one side, inviting relaxation, while a ready table on the other side seemed to promise a world of convenience. The room exuded luxury, but Nandini's thoughts lingered on the emptiness she felt within.

As Nandini stepped into the walk-in closet, she felt like she'd entered a luxury boutique. Her fingers grazed the soft fabrics of the clothes, revealing a stunning collection of top-brand attire - elegant long gowns, intricate Anarkali suits, trendy tops, and jeans, alongside sleek women's leather jackets.

As she walked further, her eyes widened at the shoe rack boasting over 100 pairs of branded shoes, from flats to sandals. On the adjacent shelf, an array of designer purses caught her attention, including Louis Vuitton handbags in various sizes.

But what left her breathless was the jewelry display. Glittering gold, diamond, and platinum earrings, necklaces, and bangles sparkled in the light. The bracelets, adorned with rare stones, seemed to dance with every movement, their beauty mesmerizing Nandini. For a moment, her heart skipped a beat as she gazed at the treasures before her.

"Did Mr Maheshwari bought all this for me?" Nandini thought lost "well Mani personally choose, I'm sure Mr Maheshwari would have ordered some of his employee to order all this"

Soon she got fresh changed into comfortable dress to sleep when she heard a knock "ma'am, dinner is ready"

Nandini smiled to herself, feeling the hunger pangs. "Bhook toh lagi hai," she thought, her stomach growling in agreement. Aloud, she replied, "OK, I'm coming in a while."

Sanskar sat at the dining table, anxiously waiting for Nandini. He double-checked every dish, hoping she'd enjoy her favorites. "What if she doesn't like the taste?" he worried, before taking a deep breath to calm himself. "She'll love it," he reassured.

Just then, Nandini entered the dining hall. The helpers served the meal, and Nandini's eyes narrowed as she took in the spread. Every dish was her favorite. A hint of sarcasm crept into her voice, "Looks like Mr. Maheshwari wants to impress me with these tricks."

Her tone turned slightly bitter, "Maybe you've ordered all my favorites, but this food won't win me over. It's missing one thing - my mother's touch, her love."

Nandini took her plate and walked away to her room, leaving Sanskar sitting alone at the dining table. A pang touched his heart, but he masked it well. Unable to bear the thought of eating alone, he got up and abandoned his dinner too.

The silence and emptiness felt suffocating. He had eagerly looked forward to sharing dinner with Nandini, but now he was alone once again. A dry, mirthless chuckle escaped his lips as he reflected on his fate.
