Nova 16ㄖ Layers of the Networld
The Networld where simple data and complicated programs were teeming was not far from the human world except for the fact that only the Admins and some special programs were the 'humaniod inhabitants' of the virtual plane. From the roads, structures and other forms that the physical world had: huge data blocks that looked like buildings were storing large amount of data from a specific user or client, erected along the illuminating digital roads.
Like a city, the Networld was divided into layers: the Central Domain which was situated at the top. Then the Admins domain where Gumi's and the rest of her fellow Admins dwell. The third layer was the Etherhighway in which the data was travelling to and fro and considered also to be the 'veins' of the Netwold. Under it was the Repair Agents. And the bottommost and the most sinister layer, the Wasteland, that serves like a sewerage system.
These passageways that was sewn all over the entire Networld as far as the INTERNET had reached was serving different datas that crosses over it.
Fast and slow, all of the data which possessed distinguishable features were racing along the stretch of the superhighway like vehicles in a crowded road.
At times that the Networld was at its peak hours, the flow of data was increasing and slowing making the veins of the virtual city starting to manifest a condition the Admins called: data overload fatigue.
In this state, the Admins had the power to execute or placed on a queue all unnecessary data that runs along with the data that had a high priority, the ones that had to do with the government or business.
During this period, while the data that set on hold (delay or lag in the human language) some corruption cannot be avoided. Each data was classified according to its binary composition; the lower the grade of composition, the faster the data got corrupted.
Data that had a short binary composition, just like food that was kept incorrectly, could be corrupted and spoiled easily - that's where the lost data enters.
Humans actually thinks these errors that they encounter along on the tecnology they were using was coincidentally happening; neither they know that all of the things they were doing, from sending E-mail up to writing simple stories on Wattpad, was up to the user in which manner she or he decides to send it: through Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi), Mobile Data (MB) or Internet Connection.
From these portals, the data or file that the user or client had sent was on its own, it could travel quick, slow or moderately according to its speed.
When the data had entered the Networld or the Global Accessible Internet Administrative Region, the data was at the Admins' custody and responsibility; they had the fate of every data, file and program that was sent all over the world through them.
Like stated above, because the Networld was a mere replica of the human world, it also has its bad, dark and horrifying places. It has also its places that considered to be avoided or even tried not to be placed at those particular places.
One of the most active and most dangerously existing places of the Networld was the Data Wasteland - Recycling Bin as humans called it.
To humans, dragging data in the bin was as easy as clicking and dropping useless datas; to the innocent datas, it was the beginning of endless terror.
In here, all of the things that humans were afraid of was thriving inside of its hexagonal hollow hellhole: viruses, corrupted data, malwares, worms, spyware, trashed files and ultimately the most potent of all, bugs.
If a human will look at the Recycling Bin from the computer, it seems like it was harmless - spot-on, nothing to worry about, just another icon at the monitor.
From a safe vantage above the Wasteland, floating in the Networld air, the evil stars were deceivingly sparkling across the black canvass of the wasteland like stars at night, very far from its innocently looking icon at someone's computer.
Closing at the rim of it, the thick black smoke that enshrouds the depression was creating nightmares; simultaneously spreading with the wails of the helpless programs being eaten alive, inside the darkness, enveloped in the void.
Some programs that humans decided to trashed out of their devices were falling into the wasteland, landing on some thick, sticky substance mixed with shards of broken pixels.
For the files or programs that were permanently deleted by their user, those programs were already history the moment they fell in the Bin, only the monsters of the wasteland knew that they existed.
Even some of them had attempted to fight the monsters, the programs were always outnumbered. The worms were piercing the program straight at the abdomen like sharp spears while the viruses and bugs were busy on eating the head of the program; aiming for the core.
Since the Networld was created, the wails in the Wasteland became the sound of death and torment; it never left in the air but those painful screams had never reached the upper levels of the Networld, it never reached the ears of the Admins that was there the entire time the horror had began.
