"SCOOBY DOO GANG! BREAKFAST IS READY!!" Violet Uley's loud yell sounded all over her home, bouncing off the walls and to her sleeping children as well as her husband who was working out.
Her hair was tied in a bun over her head, loose strands of her freshly cut chestnut pieces fanned her face as she pulled the last of the biscuits out of the oven. Within seconds of her yells she'd turned to the breakfast table to find it full of her family entering. Like always Coco, the youngest of the twins, was always the first to show up. She had already lifted her hand to grab the warm biscuit, a grin on her lips. She was still wearing her pajamas, bun identical to her mothers tresses as they spilled out onto her face. The mirror image of her mother, she was breathtakingly beautiful, with a tongue just as sharp. She'd been the last of Vi's children and certainly the most unexpected as she had boys all before them, still that didn't stop Coco from being like her brothers. "Morning."
JoJo, her twin brother, rolled his eyes at her but proceeded to walk towards his mother with a shy smile and kissed her cheek. He was the shyest of them all, while his siblings were outgoing and sporty JoJo preferred to be at home playing games on his consoles or building computers. Affection for him was always short except with his mother, who he always seemed to spare a kiss on the cheek for. JoJo was scrawnier then his brothers but still managed to tower over his mother and sister, he looked a lot like Sam except for his mothers almond shaped eyes. "Morning."
Cal was next, the tallest and oldest striding into the room at a normal pace and bending to kiss his mother head as she handed him a biscuit. He was almost the picture of his father except with much tanner skin, his light hazel eyes had dashes of green in them, which Emmett had claimed were of his own genes but the defiance in them was all his mom. The tips of his hair curled when he'd grow it which practically made him the carbon copy of his dad but for today's occasion he's chosen to snip it short. Cal was the most responsible, despite his ability to balance his social life with his career he always managed to find time to come see his siblings throughout the week. "Morning mom."
And finally her second son, JJ, practically crawled into her room. JJ was the second oldest and definitely the friendliest. The boy had done it all, from theatre to sports in school and succeeded at every single one. He certainly had the looks, like an overgrown child with a jaw defined. His hair was curled at the tips just like his fathers which added to his adolescent look. "God... mom you've got lungs made for opera singers. I had flashbacks to the time I broke a rib jumping off the roof. Also good morning."
"Well baby, who told you drinking before your wedding was a good idea." She pointed out and dropped the hot pan of breads before turning to grasp a cup. "Here, this should fix you right up. Uncle Sammy use too make me these back in my party days."
"Dad said you did it before your wedding day." Coco interjected through her full mouth of bacon and eggs.
"Your father also said he was the strongest vampire alive but Aunt Bella beat him once and I'm about to go kick his ass myself." She shot back which earned snorts of laughter from her children.
"Its literally 8 in the morning, we have enough shit to do without you wanting to kick my ass today." Emmett strode into the room, kissing the top of his daughters head and his wife's. "Good morning baby. By the way, why do you call us that? All these years and I still can't figure out why you call us that."
She shrugged in response, "because I've always wanted to be Daphne."
Emmett didn't judge, not even a negative comment left his lips as instead he left a chaste kiss on her lips. A smile graced his face when he pulled away, after almost twenty years together he's never get tired of her perfect features. There was always something that caught his eyes and this time it was her smile, like everything in her world made her joyful.
"BOO!! Get a room!" Their children yelled in unison like they had done since they were children.
Vi giggled, pushing Emmett playfully with her hip. Her hands now carrying a tray of chocolate chip pancakes and pot of coffee, "alright everyone. Dig in, I've got the sausage just finishing up and there's hot coffee. Also I cut some fruit up if you guys get hungry during prep."
Emmett plopped down at the head of the table, fixing himself a plate of food. Technically he didn't need foot in his system but since having children he claimed it was an experience he never wanted to miss, there was just something about sitting around a table with his children that gave him a sense of warmth. He craved the laughter and stories they'd tell while eating and therefore chose to be as included into the conversations as possible, also his wife wasn't a bad cook either.
"So JJ nervous yet?" He questioned, stopping his son from stuffing his face with a third pancake.
The puppy eyed boy swallowed what was in his mouth and shrugged, "not really. I just can't wait to see Oscar, I'm anxious not being around him since last night. I'm pretty sure he didn't even sleep last night. He wanted a traditional wedding, 24 hours and all."
After a full 8 years all of the McCarty children had developed into fully grown hybrids thanks to the supernatural traits in their parents. While they'd moved around a lot to keep suspicion off, things had slowed as they children had begun to stop growing. Around 3 years before the Cullen family had decided to reside in the mountains of Spain where JJ had met his imprint, a man named Oscar, and quickly both fell in love. It took awhile for JJ to accept the fact he'd fallen in love with a human man and even longer for him to actually tell Oscar but after one long conversation with Emmett the son had given in. He told Oscar everything, from the epic tale of his parents romance to the deep roots both sides his family had. In the end it seemed like love did conquer all and Oscar accepted the family the way they were.
The only bump in the road besides the beginning was when Oscar decided he wanted to live forever like the love of his life which created a wedge much like the one they'd dealt with in Forks. Fortunately the future was not condemned to repeat the past as Edward offered his nephew advice, Oscar and Bella were much the same level of stubborn and sooner or later he was going to get what he wanted.
Oscar was set to become apart of the Cullen's one month after the wedding and he seemed at ease by the situation.
Suddenly Vi found tears welling in her eyes, dabbing the corner of her makeup free eyes with the bottom of her apron as the memories came to light. "Fuck Emmett, you just had to make me cry! Now my eyes are all puffy!"
"Oh mom!" Coco yelled over the bacon. "Dammit women, we discussed no crying until the ceremony! I thought we had a deal!"
"I'm sorry! It's just! Having you all here—"
"Yeah, why are we here again? I mean I had a meeting with Microsoft I had to push back because you wanted us here at 5 yesterday. Mom, I love you but I could have ran from my apartment in London and back in less then an hour." JoJo didn't even look up from his plate as he spoke. His eyes were trained on devouring his mom's delicious cooking and as much as he complained about the delay in his work he had to admit coming home to endless food was definitely worth it.
"Because I had to have my babies under one roof one last time before they went on! I mean you remember your aunt Emily! She was a mess when Serena got married in Vegas! I just wanted to have all my babies here one last time so I could remember this before you're all off making families! I pushed you all out of this vagina and let me tell you, those big ass heads of yours weren't an easy task okay! The least you all could give me in return is this! I mean first it's JJ and as soon as you get your head out of your ass Cal you'll be marrying Blair! Then it'll be JoJo and I just gotta hope CoCo holds onto this single forever bitches motto she's got going on a little longer! But today is the last day I'll be able to say you're all just mine... and your fathers." She wagged her finger at each of them, a mixture of slight yells and tears escaping her as she gazed at each of her children. All morning she'd been prepping this last breakfast she would have with her children and as much as keeping her sanity had been in her mind the moment they all sat down to eat it had gone out the window. "Now dammit. Don't any of you complain or I will take you out of this world the same way you came in! Emmett where his my mimosa! I asked for a mimosa like an hour ago!"
Emmett had almost lost his balance as he continued to slide down the chair at his wife's mental break, add in the visible look of disgust and fear from everyone of his children and if losing a lung to laughter was possible he'd have done it. The hilarious thing was she was losing her shit so much she hadn't actually asked him for a mimosa.
"EMMETT!" She snapped. "Mimosa!!!"
Her husband stopped laughing and quickly brought over her glass which she downed in one go and shoved the tears out of her face. "I knew I shouldn't have had kids but you just had to pass on the McCarty name didn't you, now you'll have to deal with my uncontrollable ass when they all go. Today's just day one buddy, it's gonna be a shit show. I'll be drunk this time at the last wedding just you wait. You just pray I get a grandchild soon or so help me I'll make you give me another."
JoJo looked like he wanted to run, having not realized just how much offense his mother would actually take to the question. His siblings were all looking his way with narrowed vision, and briefly he flashed back to being thirteen around the table. Who knew, maybe his mom had been right about this being a bonding experience over their youth.
CoCo finally managed to clasp her mom's hand, with her trademark smile. Considering she was the only girl Violet was her best friend, "oh mom. I'm sorry, we're dumbasses. I promise we will make this the best last breakfast for you."
"Thank you!" Vi cleared her throat at her outburst and looked around the table. "So... JoJo who are you bringing to your brothers wedding?"
"No one actually but what's that saying Cal had a thing for back in the day? It's not who you show up with but who you leave with? Think I might actually test his theory out tonight." His devious little smirk showed just how serious he was.
"There's somethings a mother needs never to know, you could have stopped after the first three sentences."
"Oh but you get to talk about shoving us out of your—"
"The difference Joseph Joshua McCarty is that my story has validity to it while yours on the other hand will just be a theory." Vi ended her comeback with a bump to her son's nose which also hurt his ego. The table roared in laughter, while JoJo merely rolled his eyes and flipped his siblings the finger. "I'm kidding baby, but don't ever think you'll win a clap back with me. Remember I invented them, ask your father."
"True." Emmett followed shortly after.
"Anyways, how about you Coc's," the mother turned to her youngest, said girl pouring herself down pineapple juice. Her bright eyes fell upon her mother as she called her name.
She licked the remaining syrup off her lips and answered, "don't really know yet. Valentina is on some spiritual hike bullshit but Dex is flying back home today."
"Or their lying to get out of seeing you again." Cal muttered, the glass of orange juice blocked his comment.
Still his only sister narrowed her eyes and turned in his direction. "Or maybe I'll just take Blair for the night, I'm sure she wouldn't mind."
Cal's mouth dropped open at his sisters comment, he knew she wouldn't try anything but still they were harsh words. The table snickered including the parents.
"Alright you two." Emmett cut in before a brawl actually started. He looked at his daughter, "CoCo, why have I yet to meet your suitors?"
"Because I haven't chosen which one I like more and also because dad you're scary." Her response was short, a shrug of her shoulders added to the end. Everyone knew that CoCo had been the more reckless of her siblings, she was practically the carbon copy of her mother and despite being the youngest the girl was not afraid to go head to head with someone for her siblings. CoCo had also quickly discovered that she was bisexual which she had no problem flaunting, her family was more then accepting. She had a different male or female to discuss with her mother every week but as of late she'd seemed to find herself in a love triangle of sorts, of course CoCo being CoCo had found the fun in it.
"She's got a point in that last part." JJ spoke up, he seemed to slowly be recovering from the night prior as he picked up a piece of bacon. "Oscar thought you were gonna kill him that one time he was late for our date."
"I was going out with your mom! I can't help it if I opened the door just as he was pulling in." Emmett scoffed.
"Oh honey, we all know you're just a big polar bear". Violet consoled her husband as the children proceeded to laugh.
"Yeah dad, you're certainly not the easiest to approach at first glance." Cal hummed in acceptance.
Emmett sulked in annoyance, causing the rest of his family to erupt into loud laughter. Violet felt warmth fill her chest, watching the blurry eyes as her children conversed amongst one another. It wasn't long ago when she had them each in her lap, feeding them food as Emmett sat beside her and cleaned off the drops, and now here they were around a big table talking about relationships and their adult lives. She never would have imagined that almost two decades ago she met the love of her life in a time when her world felt like it was on a free fall into a black hole. It seemed like for every action there was a reaction though and no matter how badly her life seemed to get at one point it made up for it in the end.
"Mom, you good?" JoJo spoke up, eyeing his mother curiously with warm brown eyes, the rest of his siblings and even their father were now staring at the mother with concern.
She realized that the small tears running down her cheeks were no longer from her husbands childlike attitude but from the memories and nostalgia that arose in her.
She waved them off, pushing away the tears, "it's nothing I'm just really happy right now. This is all I wanted." She lifted her glass of spiked orange juice. "I want to say a toast to my perfect son JJ, baby your father and I love you more then words could express and no matter what you do we will always support you. We love you just like we love all your siblings and I'm so proud you've finally found the love of your life, I see in both your eyes the same deep love your father and I share, it's all I could ask. If I cry today it's not because we're losing you JJ but because you've found happiness."
Emmett squeezed his sons hand, staying silent but showing that he agreed with every word his wife had said. He never cared about who his son fell in love with or who any of them would end up with, all that mattered was that they were happy. JJ restrained from crying in that moment, instead standing and hugging his father for a few seconds before walking over and hugging his blubbering mother.
"I love you mom." He whispered to her, and she lost it even more. The rest of the family followed shortly after and crowded into the hug.

"Somebody get Lycan off the fucking food table! Lycan, for fucks sake!" Vi yelled at her dog as she lifted her hands in exasperation. The Siberian husky wasn't even a year old yet he caused her more ruckus then her four children combined, but even so she never seemed to grow tired of it. The blue eyed dog turned back to his owner, tongue wagging out of one side and howled loudly when she beckoned him forward.
Vi sighed, not able to fight a smile as the Cullen family joined in on the chuckle.
"You'd have more luck stopping Alice from going through with this wedding V," Bella stated as she continued to help Esme set up the tables with decorations.
"I'd have more luck drinking the Nile river." She countered as her shoulders shrugged and she gave in. Her eyes turned to her oldest son, lifting the Christmas lights Alice had instructed her to place around the trees. The forests of Spain were much like the ones in Washington except the son never stopped shining and the temperatures were always warm. She found Cal walking down the porch with his sister and lifted the lights, "Cal, be my favorite son and put these up."
Cal rolled his eyes, the sweet eyes his mother used on him would never lose their charm, each time he'd do as she asked without a word. The eldest son lifted his hand up and took the lights walking off briefly before holding them out. Cal had inherited one of the four gifts of the elementals, air, and while his mother was good at that particular gift he had perfected it.
Cal lifted the chains into the air and watched as they flew off, gently lifting higher and higher as he tuned out the world and concentrated on assuring they wrapped perfectly around the trees.
Vi patted her son on the shoulder with pride and turned back towards JJ who was also helping before his wedding.
"Jay, now!" His aunt Alice had yelled from her place on one of the trees and with a flick of his fingers the entire place had gone up in lights. He too hadinherited his mothers power over fire which in turn turned into anything with lights.
"Lycan! Come on boy before you give mom grey hair!" The youngest McCarty patted her dog off the table and followed behind him as he ran straight for Vi.
"My sweet child, you are the only one that can tame that beast." Vi held her arms out to her daughter in happiness and squeezed tightly.
"Seems to be the only actual power I have." The daughter muttered back, stepping back from her mom. Her words weren't said with anger, instead there was a hint of sadness in them as she spoke them lowly and looked at the ground instead of everyone's face. The Cullens and McCarty's all paused their actions long enough to acknowledge her pain before getting back to work, speaking amongst themselves as hey let the mother speak to her child.
VI's heart went out to her youngest child, she knew all too well her daughters issues with gaining her gifts. Her sons had it easy, Calvin with his telekinesis and air, Jonathan with his fire and light, and even Joseph with his earth and healing abilities; they all had gain these powers from a very young age but it was CoCo who couldn't seem to even make water sprout. She had tried for a long time once she had understood the difference between her brother and her, cried even more in her father's arms at night when she felt disappointed in herself; yes she had inherited the abilities of both shapeshifter and vampire but even so it seemed she couldn't never live up to the family name.
Her hand found her daughters, fastening together she bumped her hip next to the young girls and spoke, "Cassandra, you know very well it could still happen."
"When? JoJo and I have stopped aging and I still have yet to receive a power. It's more likely I won't have one now." She replied, tone bare of emotion.
"Don't say that." Nessie, Bella Swan's daughter came up from behind, standing to the left of her cousin. "Come on sis, you know it took your mom years to master water."
Vi smiled tenderly at her niece. The two girl were inseparable even though there may have been a wide age gap between them it never seemed to bother either girl, they were more sisters then cousins. Vi nodded her head and continued in her nieces appeal, "Ness is right. And you know what they say, sometimes some flowers blossom later then others, but when they do they're gorgeous. Just you wait CoCo, it's gonna happen soon."
"When? I don't suppose you have a time and date do you?" Her daughter's humorous response was met with a soft giggle.
The mother let go of her daughter's hand and turned on her heels so she stood in front of both girls, "well I didn't collect that power but I can tell you it'll be soon, I can feel it in my bones. Now, enough with this sadness CoCo, I raised both of you better. Go get ready."
CoCo grinned at her mom, pushing her own worries to the back as she tangled her arm with her best friends. "Blair should be here soon, I told her to bring some food on the way."
"Mmm," Renessme hummed in happiness, "great Alice keeps smacking my hand every time I go near the kitchen."
"I know. She just doesn't want us to eat the reception food." Cassandra rolled her eyes in annoyance as well, feeling her cousins pain.
"At least Blair is the real MVP," Ness felt her eyes roam before falling on Calvin's back, a smirk plastered on her face when she spoke. "Think he'll do it?"
"What?" CoCo blinked rapidly, collecting her thoughts and following her cousins eyesight. She knew exactly what was going on in her cousins head, and likely what had been going on in her brothers as well. Calvin was terrified to tell his imprint and mate how deeply in love he was with her, it'd been 5 years since coming to the realization and the boy hadn't been able to say the words since. Her mouth pursed into a teasing smile as she stated. "No, Cal's too chicken shit, human will be able to grow back limbs before he ever says a thing to her."
"Hey! I heard that!" Her brother yelled, slightly annoyed that his siblings were talking behind his back like that.
JoJo whistled as he carried tables in his hand, "well... it's true Cal."
"What the hell! You too!" The eldest brother scoffed in annoyance.
"Sorry son, man up or it's gonna continue." Emmett clapped his son on the back, holding back from a smile as the entire family seemed to agree.
Renessme and Cassandra snickered in joy as they walked back into the McCarty home, Ness was the first to cut her laughter short. "So who are you bringing as a date?"
Cassandra smirked, giving her cousin a side glance as she thought it over, "haven't decided yet. Valentina probably... I think I'm gonna break things off with Dexter."
"Before I meet him? Shame, he was quite cute." Ness hummed in disapproval, following her cousins as they went out to the front porch of the home and awaited the arrival of their best friend. Her tires were heard not far off, gravel and such breaking underneath them as she drove quickly.
"Speaking of other halves, where's Jake?" CoCo questioned, taking a seat on the swing as her cousin followed next to her and they both swayed softly.
"En route from Prague I'm assuming, taking care of some wolf situation, he said he'd be here by tonight." Ness responded with a small smile on her lips, soft dimples appearing the longer she talked about him.
CoCo gagged, "I hate you two, always so lovey dovey, it's too much."
"I'm sorry if the world isn't immune to your lack of emotions Cassandra but some of us like love."
"Some of us like to eat and have sex, in that order. Love is irrelevant when those two things are present." She deadpanned just as Blair rolled in their driveway and parks her car. Her arms held bags of McDonald's in them as well as her purse.
The blonde yelled, "if either of you could get off your asses and help me take out my dress that would be gladly appreciated."
"Hello to you too, bitch!" CoCo responded but stood with her cousin as the two walked up. Ness grasped the bags of food from the struggling vampire while the other went around and pulled the dress from the trunk of the Bentley.
Once Blair had gotten her wits back she smiled, her square framed sunglasses blocking her icy blue eyes as she looked back towards Renessme. "She tell you about breaking up with Dexter?"
Ness nodded her head, "oh yeah, did you meet him?"
Blair smirked, "not a chance. You know how she is."
"That I do."
"Hey! Enough about me!" CoCo's nose twisted into annoyance as she came up. "I'll think about bringing Valentina tonight but that's it."
"Well at least she's got an option, I don't even have that." Blair grunted and began the walk up to the house.
Behind her CoCo and Renessme eyed one another, oh how blind the girl was.

"JJ, son there's a car outside if you feel like getting out of here."
"Emmett! You weren't suppose to say it so loud!" Violet smacked her husband lightly, thumping his head as she passed by his favorite chair. They were in the McCarty/Uley household, where the wedding was going to take place in the backyard. The trio had been sent upstairs to finish getting ready and prepare to walk outside to the wedding march, as the parents would give away their second oldest child. JJ laughed at his mothers antics, noticing how his father only scowled but didn't seem entirely bothered by her actions.
She walked back towards her boys, pulling the single white rose from the table it'd been set on and grabbing her son forward. She pulled the fold of his black tuxedo forward, biting her lip. Her baby boy was grown up, the first of them all to start his own life.
JJ looked at his mom with a raised brow, biting his lip to hold back the laugh. He thought it was hilarious how the strongest women he had ever known could cry over something as simple as his wedding. "Mom you good?"
Vi smiled at her child, pining the white rose and nodding, "yes JJ, I'm just remembering. I can't believe my little idiot son who used to play with socks is finally getting married to the love of his life."
JJ rolled his eyes, looking towards his father who merely shook his head with amusement at his wife's antics. Despite the obvious jab he placed his arms on the tops of her shoulders, lowering his stature so they were at eye level and spoke, "hey, I'll always be that little idiot. I'll always be your kid mom, through anything and everything you've got me and my siblings for life, you both do. Oscar is just now included in the package."
Violet squeezed her sons hands, remembering how much Oscar had become apart of the family. He was more then she could hope for, an example of the love she wanted for all her children, regardless of what they looked like.
Vi kissed her sons cheek, pushing her hand back to reach for Emmett who was there in an instant clutching her hand to his own. She leaned back into his chest, taking in his warm scent and calming herself before crying. She looked up towards her husband, "can you believe it polar bear, our baby is getting married."
JJ smiled with glee at the nickname her mother had always called her dad, it was never a joke to him and his siblings, it represented how deep the love of their parents went.
His aunt Alice suddenly walked into the room, gorgeous and young as ever she was smiling from ear to ear. Despite the love he had for his parents the rest of his dads siblings were also deeply apart of his life, and for him Alice and Jasper could have been a second pair of parents. JJ had been attached to Alice's hip from the moment he was able to walk and through the couple he had gained confidence to be the person he always wanted to be.
"JJ! You look gorgeous!" She squealed, walking forward and hugging the boy to her much smaller frame. JJ brightened up, squeezing his aunt just like when he was a young child.
He kissed the top of her head, set in a string of wild curls now, and responded, "well I didn't do this all by myself now did I? By the way Alice, you look breathtaking! Where's Jazz?"
Alice pulled away, smiling fondly at him, "he's probably with Vincent, the little boy has already ripped his suit 3 times, it's a lost cause when dealing with actual werewolves."
Alice and Jasper had adopted a son about 2 years ago, he was an actual werewolf they'd come across, a baby still. Alice had taken a liking to him and Jasper had quickly done so after her, the couple had since adopted the young child. To them, he was no different then the rest of their adoptive family and Vincent seemed to love his adoptive parents more then anything in the world.
"Try dealing with twin hybrids and then comeback to me." Vi muttered as she set down a cup of champagne.
"Well he's not a teenager yet so I guess I'll have to wait for that one." Alice smirked, patting the collar of her nephews shirt down firmly and nodding to the parents. "It's time, Oscar and his grandmother are waiting in another room."
"Carlisle with them?" Emmett questioned, smirking as the answer was far too obvious.
Alice only eyed him curiously with a humored grin, "it's not like Oscars grandma would let him go."
"That women loves him so much she would throw Esme into a river for him." Vi added on, shaking her head with laughter. Oscars only had one living relative, a nearly 90 year old grandmother who was likely to be the greatest person the entire family would ever know. She flirted without shame with any male, married or not, and even had flat out told Violet and Esme she would have snatched both their men without a second thought. Her mouth was as unfiltered as they came and had it not been for her old age she would likely been running around with the younger kids.
The women had even guessed what they were and as she had put it, "i'll take it to my grave as long as Carlisle is there beside me."
Oscar had only laughed and shaken his head, while the rest of the family had laughed in exasperation but shrugged their shoulders cause really who would believe a women of her age? She was in the know just as much as her grandson and now currently awaited to roll him down the aisle, Carlisle being her escort of course. Esme had no bad blood with the women either, in fact she found the actual interaction full of comedy.
"Alright well you walk down first, and then Oscar. Be at the top of the stairs in a minute." Alice quickly directed them, waiting long enough to earn a brisk nod from each person before prancing out of the room, her rose dress flaring behind her.
Emmett turned back to his second eldest son, wiggling his brows in a very excited manner and stating, "let's get you hitched JJ."
"Oh fuck, I'm actually gonna cry through the whole ceremony aren't I?"
|•|•|•|•|
"Well... as expected CoCo and Vi weren't able to keep it together." Emmett held back his laughter as they walked towards the tent where the reception would take place. The sun was just beginning to set, a warm haze over them bright enough for him to see where his wife was wiping away her tears, attempting to hide her face in the crook of his abdomen.
CoCo was somewhere behind, being escorted by Cal and she too was burying her face into his chest, Blair beside her and laughing at the tears streaming down her friends face.
"Shut up will you!" CoCo snapped at her friend, although it was a weak defense as she continued to woo away at the tears. "I'm not made of stone like you!"
"Technically you're not." Blair answered back with another snicker. Cal looked over at her, finding her blinding grin so entertaining. Her icy blue eyes then found his and she wiggled her brows at him, he responded with his own snicker, eyes never leaving either of them.
"Oh that's enough!" CoCo pulled away from her brother and turned around, finger pointed at either of them. "I refuse to cry at your wedding!"
Cal went red, cheeks brightening as his sister caught up to her parents and wrapped her arm into her dads as the father gladly pulled his daughter into the fold.
"She's insane." Blair continued to chuckle, taking a step closer towards Cal, wrapping her arm with his own she leaned into him and began talking. "You know that right? Although I suppose insanity runs in this family."
Cal felt his body warm, just a single touch of hers was enough to ignite his body into flames. She was so beautiful, so interesting and so blissfully unaware of all the love he wished to give her. Blair was so free, she was ironically like the wind moving to its own accord except he had no control over her air, and he never wished to have it. Ever since Blair had stumbled upon the Cullen family and become a staple in their lives he'd know, Blair was the only women he would ever love.
Somehow he found his voice, despite the millions of thought he managed to speak again, and only because he'd practiced many times before. "I would say I'm offended except I'm not... insanity is a family tradition."
Blair hummed in agreement, her blonde hair blowing in the wind and straying across Cal's dark jacket. He quite loved the smell of coconuts it gave off. "CoCo is a hidden gem honestly, the toughest chick I'll ever know but as soon as one of her brothers get married she's a puddle of feelings. Do you think she will cry at my wedding?"
Cal smiled, quick flashes of her in a stark whit weeding dress passed through his mind with warmth until he realized she meant to someone else. Blair didn't see him like that, she didn't love him like he loved her and he supposed if she hadn't by now then maybe she never would. The blonde wasn't wired like all the other vampires, she was different, she had more of a human in her which is likely why her eyes had never changed from their icy blues. Humans weren't as susceptible to love as them, and Blair had possibly owned that part.
Cal swallowed thickly, silently pleading it wasn't real and spoke, "I think my sister wouldn't be her if she didn't at least shed a few tears for your bachelorette life."
"Well that's true," Blair hummed, knocking her hip against his own, "although I suppose now isn't the moment to think about that. We're still single, she's the one in a sort of relationship. Let's enjoy tonight because next time who knows who might be getting married."
Cal nodded his head, walking a little faster as he tried to make his fast moving heart.
|•|•|•|•|
"Mom, I think you've done enough crying. Seriously, tears were dropping into your chicken at dinner." JoJo spoke to his mother as they swayed on the dance floor. He was holding her up, a pocketful of used tissues in one of the flaps of his coat as his mother hadn't been able to stop since the ceremony. It was hard to believe that this young women had birthed and raised 4 different hybrids, how she had conquered much of what had come her way and still was soft enough to cry at such things in life.
Vi pulled away from her son, finding that somehow she hadn't been able to stop the river streams from escaping her. After a deep breath she managed to hold them off and smiled at her youngest boy, giving him a soft peck on the cheek she allowed him to lead in the soft dance again. "I'm sorry son, it's just your brothers so happy. It makes me happy and you know..."
Tears began to stream again but she managed to contain the sobs now, JoJo wiped them away with the pad of his thumb and sighed. "You're ridiculous women, weddings are happy. You look like a women not ready to give her son away. He's not even moving, he's sticking with us."
"You're a terrible son you know that! The sarcasm isn't appreciated."
"I learned from the best didn't I?" He deadpanned, hoping the joke would at least earn an eye roll but when all he got were more sniffles and a hard stare he finally gave in. "Alright fine, tell me what you want?"
"Just hold me and promise me you'll stay my baby boy forever." She begged, holding her arms out for JoJo to step into.
JoJo happily obliged, his taller frame slightly towering over his mom as she pressed her thin arms around him. JoJo placed his cheek on the top of her head and said, "you know I'm always happy to be your baby boy, it won me a lot of fights with Cal."
"You were such a tattletale. I would have kicked your ass on the playground." She muttered back and JoJo only smiled.
His eyes wandered for a moment, finding that his mom was watching JJ dance with Oscar, both happily staring at one another like the world would melt away. Aunt Alice was swaying with Jasper and Vincent not far off, the young boy was asleep in his father's arms but even so they couldn't manage to let go. Carlisle and Esme were also dancing, his grandparents filled with love. Bella and Edward were sitting at one of the table, talking animatedly with the Denali cousins. Rosalie and Stone were also dancing, although they weren't talking, simply holding each other as close as possible. Cal was sitting with Nessie, she was more then likely trying to convince him to go ask Blair to dance while his eyes never strayed from said blonde. The aforementioned blonde was at the bar with their cousin Elijah Uley, betting on who could take down shots the fastest. And CoCo was...
"I think it's time I finally got to dance with my lovely wife, don't you think son?" Emmett interrupted the mother son dance going on, also breaking JoJo's train of thought as he almost broke his neck turning in the opposite direction.
The mother and son broke apart, the latter smiling as he handed his mother off and said, "my suit is sufficiently filled with tears so it's your turn, Pop's. Has anyone seen CoCo? She owes me a few drinks."
"She told me she had to take a call, that was 15 minutes ago though. Can you go see where she is?" Violet asked of her son, wrapping her arms around her husbands waist.
JoJo nodded his head, "yeah, the little freak better pay up or I swear."
He ran off to the house, leaving his mother and father to dance.
Emmett smiled down at his wife, "you know I love you?"
"No, you've never told me that." Vi snorted, rolling her eyes and then lifting to kiss his lips. "I love you too."
"You've cried enough darling, I think it's time to enjoy the night. Weddings are for love, I think it's time we made some love." Emmett coyly pressed his hand lower on Vi's back, smirking at her when her eyebrow raised in recognition.
"You just want to give me that 5th child don't you?" She cockily stated.
"If they're anything like their precious mom I'd give you a whole fleet." He muttered back and kissed her.
They would have melted further into it Lycan came running into the dance floor. The dog had been calm the entire night, not even barking once during the ceremony but all of sudden he came racing in, yells loud as ever as he stopped in front of the parents and continued to growl. His head kept turning back to the house, as if telling them to go investigate.
Vi dropped to the ground, the dog now whimpering at her, paw lifting to pat her arm. She reached out to the huskys face, "Lycan? What's wrong?"
The family and friends lifted, all looking around as they grew closer to the dog. Emmett suddenly becoming alert as he checked for all his children, he only saw 2.
JoJo ran back down to them, holding his sisters phone in hand he looked at his family with despair, "I found CoCo's phone... it was out in the driveway. She's gone. I can't find her smell either."
