"You've been quite thoughtful since you let Jake go." Emmett hums, a moment ago he had assumed his mate had fallen asleep dancing with him. She had been so quiet since coming back into his arms, the ghost of a smile gracing her lips. He hadn't thought twice before taking her to dance to some of the gentler music playing by the live band. She had complied, leaning against his chest as his arms wrapped protectively around her. The only reason he hadn't carried her up to their room and let her sleep the entire night was because of the breath of air she had blown out.

"I know..." Vi answered, not lifting her head as she answered. She didn't want to lie to Emmett about what Jacob had said but she also didn't want to see the look go grief and pain cross Emmett's face when she told him just what Jake had said. It was painful enough for her to know and letting him know would jus take things much more complicated. She didn't necessarily want to lie to him so answering as vaguely as possible was her best bet. "It's just Jake said somethings... something about me, like I was going to be hit with more shit soon and I don't have a clue what he means."

"Like?" Emmett pegged her in, genuinely intrigued.

"Like he said I would find somethings out that would piss me off. I have no idea what it could be and besides, not like the wolves are actually calling me in for pack meetings you know? So what the hell could it be?" She questioned, pulling her head back so she could look him in the eyes. Besides what Jake had admitted she was actually quite concerned over his other statement.

"Yeah, that sounds like something we need to be concerned about, tomorrow though. I promise tomorrow we will go down to the reservation and figure this out. They have to talk to you, maybe we can get to Seth before he leaves." Emmett assured her, running the pad of his thumb over her smooth skin where worry lines should appear if she wasn't half immortal.

"Yeah, that's probably for the best. Sorry, I'm ruining the night that's suppose to be fun, I just... I can't help feeling like whatever it is will literally tear me further from the pack and I'm terrified to find out because I have no clue what it could be." She quickly answered, forcing her eyes to stop from glossing over. She didn't want to cause a commotion tonight, certainly not at the wedding. Vi was terrified but it wasn't the appropriate moment to have a meltdown because her powers were also manipulated by her mood and if she didn't stay calm their might be catastrophic repercussions.

"Emmett, Violet." At that exact moment when the female had found her median again they were interrupted. Stone had walked over to them, a small smile on his lips as he looked between the couple. He seemed to be oblivious to their previous conversation. "I am about to go back but I was wondering if I could have a dance with Violet before I left. Best friends duties and all."

Emmett looked at Vi who nodded at him with a tender smile as she came back to one piece. She was quick to react as she stepped forward and grasped at Luthor's extended arm. "I would love to dance with you."

Emmett nodded, sensing that Violet would be okay with his best friend. "I have to go make sure everythings finished for the honeymooners departure so I'll leave you to it. Stone, keep your hands to yourself and no charming my girl, p.s. She might kick your ass."

Emmett disappeared shortly after, Luthor giving the brunette a kind smile as he expertly moved to the beat and led her onward.

"You know, you remind me of someone Violet." He spoke first, keeping the space between them small as he spoke to the girl.

Violet met his eyes, "oh really? Why is that?"

Casually Stone answered, shrugging at first, "call it you both had that same personality, sweet face but sharp tongue. Or maybe it's the love you share with Emmett, I've only even seen love that powerful once before... beyond it all I see Nadia in you because you possess her power. The elemental power."

"What?" Violet was almost speechless as she took a step back but Stone didn't let her go. Keeping their dance going as he smiled to the passing couple who had glanced at them. Vi had no idea wether she believed the man or not... hell she was still confused as to how he had come to find out. "How the fu..."

"Sshh love, wouldn't want Emmett to find out about your little secret now would you. And as for how, well I observe and analyze. I watch behavior, study patterns and movements, trust me doll face it doesn't take long to know when someone's hiding something. And also your little outburst might have browned the flowers over there." Luthor casually signaled towards the small set of flowed across the way from them, Violet noting how they had dimmed significantly.

"Nadia? She was like me?" Violet raised a brow to the stranger who seemed keen to know more about her. "Did you kill her for it?"

"No," Luthor quickly answered and everything on his face proved he was speaking the truth. "I didn't kill her for it... I killed her fiancée for it."

"Why?"

"Because he tried to take her away from me." Stone answered, not a wince of remorse on his face. When the girl seemed to be slightly confused over it he sighed, pulling her in closer as he continued to twirl her around. "Nadia was a goddess among the Egyptians when we met, daughter of a pharaoh and even under his rule heavily guarded. The Egyptians had theories and beliefs for those like you darling, a prophecy if you will. One of those being that linking the two elemental bound to the world would bring forth the most powerful being of all time, a god amongst gods."

Vi had been silent, imagining in her mind the beautiful Nadia in all her glory and the counterpart she was being thrust to. Her lips pursed when she understood just what he meant. "An arranged marriage? Children? She was nothing but the vessel holding the god."

Stone merely smiled when she guessed correctly, looking away as he continued. "I was a peasant compared to her, hadn't even seen the great goddess she was so guarded. It wasn't until her 21st birthday when things took a turn, I had been turned a century before and barely was able to contain myself so I kept my head low. Nadia had been bitten not long before her birthday although the gift was different around her, her powers developing earlier. When I first caught site of her though... I just knew that whatever curse had been placed on me was destined to help her. We met for days after that, I was good at getting in and out undetected. I was fine living the way I did because I knew that despite anything else we belonged to no one but one another. Then her father announced that the other vessel had been found, the very one who would father the god so to speak. His name translated to Roman... and Roman was everything you and Nadia were. Gifted, unusual... an elemental, he was excited to fulfill the prophecy and Nadia was not. We planned her escape but at the last minute he showed up and tried using his powers on her. He was still human so I bled him dry."

"How was he human and showing powers? I thought those only came forth when you were bitten?" Violet was now enthralled with the possibility of knowing more about herself, about the world of an elemental. It seemed to be an upside to the nights occurrences.

Once again the merely shrugged in response. "Must be an elemental thing, Nadia was showing signs long before being bit and even when bit she was still human enough not to require blood. Much like you."

The girl moved her eyes away from the man, sighing out heavily. "Why are you telling me this?"

"Because darling, Emmett is my best friend and Nadia did not die because of a mistaken identity. Being what you are... it's dangerous, killing you just births the next female elemental in the world but that doesn't mean it'll stop them from hunting you down. You're a hidden jewel, a true goddess amongst the peasants here and I would hate to see something happen to such a pretty face so I will warn you, tell Emmett... tell them all and the wolves you've grown up with. Do it now, sooner rather then later or else you might not have long to enjoy these new powers of yours because they always find out, always. Oh and one more thing, never find your counterpart."

His words were rushed, like some clock was counting down until his windpipes would close up and he would fall to the ground limp. That wasn't the case however, he didn't fall dead now did he stop breathing like Violet imagined. Instead, the handsome man dropped his hold on her and went to walk around.

"What the hell does that mean?" Violet took a step closer when he attempted to walk away from her.

"It means that there's only ever going to be two of you in this world, like Adam and Eve... and for your sake I hope that the prophecy died with the Pharoah's." Stone quickly hushed, pushing her to the side smoothly.

He was vague and Vi didn't do vague, she fucking hated vague. Her hand lifted up, just barely missing the expensive material of his suit as her jaw stiffened and her fingers trembled together. Stone stiffened in his step, a grunt escaping his lips as he turned to look at her. He looked to be in pain, lack of breath pronounced as he looked at her and raised his eyebrows at the clear determination in her dark eyes. She was confused to say the least, it seemed like he couldn't get aqua from her soon enough yet somehow he ended up staying out.

Something told her that she had made him turn around, her abilities had forced him back to her. So the brunette tested her theory and dropped her outstretched palm, calming herself down from the glint of rage. All at once Stone took a deep breath, pulling out a handkerchief from his jacket pocket and laughing lowly at the girl. "You don't know a thing about yourself do you love? That right there, enough to wipe out this entire town. Watch your anger darling... although I think that maybe a problem for you."

He didn't say another thing and Violet didn't stop him, watching as he went on and quickly moved through the crowd until he was able to make a break for it. Intrigued the brunette realized that the man was an analyzer, easily dodging ever person that stepped into his path without so much as a misstep himself. His last words seemed to either be a taunt or a threat, one of which concerned the hybrid as she realized that Stone's place had not been revealed.

Was he with or against her?

She barely got time to overthinks the situation, her eyes catching every passing movement, including the one of her boyfriend and his brothers.

Jasper, Edward, and Emmett rushed towards the woods where Violet knew Bella had been led to. Something must have happened, something bad. Her senses were going off and she could hear yelling, Jacobs yelling.

The girl wrapped the bottom of her long dress around her fist, practically running across the grand setup and following.

"Jacob let her go now!" Edward roared, Bella's whimpers of pain escaping her lips.

"Jake! Let's go!" Sam's voice was heard, ordering his young pack member from committing a grave act.

"THEY'LL KILL HER!" He shot back defensively, Violet finally able to see the entire scenario.

Edward had pushed Bella behind his back, the bride flustered as she clung to the material of his suit while Emmett and Jasper flanked either side of him. Jacob stood directly in front of them, growls seeming to make their way upwards from his chest. The rest of the wolves lurking behind the tree line as Sam was the only one near.

"What's going on!" Violet announced herself, looking everyone dead in the eyes without a hint of emotion falling upon her. Despite her constant yearning to have the wolves and her brother in her life she wouldn't show them how much she missed them, not even an ounce. They had abandoned her, left her to fend her for herself all because she chose love. Her shoulders were pushed back and her head stood tall as she gracefully walked towards them, tendrils of hair bouncing with her footsteps.

Sam felt his eyes widened as he caught site of his new and improved sister, she didn't look like the clumsy girl he had grown to protect, she was a god with hell at her fingertips.

The wolves all stared at her anxiously, noting how this Violet seemed entirely different to the one they knew... different yet similar. However they could tell that instead of just hurting them... she could kill them with a snap of her fingers.

The entire place grew silent, everyone giving her a grand entrance as she stepped forward.

"Violet, this doesn't concern you." Sam immediately spoke up, his throat tightening as she grew closer. The beats to his heart increased... Violet immediately taking note and especially when his eyes briefly flashed back.

"You don't get to decide any of that." She cut in, her words slicing quickly through the air as she dropped her dress and placed both hands on her hips as she neared Jake. Her gaze softening, "Jake... what's happening?"

"Did you know?" He questioned, the words breathless and broken as he continued his anger.

"Know what?" She questioned, looking back to the vampires and humans for a hint.

No one seemed to answer so she looked back to Jake, "that's she's going with him on a honeymoon! That she's going off with him!"

His eyes were hurt, an immense amount of pain and grief behind them that only she could tell because only once more had she seen it. "Jake... of course they're going on a honeymoon. They're married, what did you expect?"

"NO! HES GOING TO KILL HER! HES GOING TO TURN HER JUST LIKE THEY DID TO YOU!" He yelled, anger once again taking control. His feet carrying him back as his calloused hands pushed the jet black hairstyle he wore into a mess.

"Jake! Calm down! Please!" She pleaded, sensing Emmett near her body. His palm gripping her waist as she knew he was moments away from pushing her from the scene.

"JACOB!" Sam yelled, grabbing the top of his arm.

"NO! NO!" Jake was stubborn to their words, pushing Violet with a swing of his arm so she practically toppled. Luckily she was swift on her feet and caught herself in time to watch Emmett practically lunge towards Jake. The vampire was caught by his brothers as was the werewolf by his pack. That didn't stop him from continuing to snarl. "ILL KILL YOU! ILL KILL YOU FOR DOING THIS TO THEM! YOU'RE GOING TO KILL BELLA AND TURN VIOLET INTO A MONSTER!"

"JACOB STOP IT!" Another voice jumped out, pushing away from the trees and coming forward, revealing his face to the rest of the group.

Violet felt like her world flipped around and it was because of the people she most adored getting ready to fight or the fact she had been pushed by her best friend, no it was because of the tall, tanned skin man who was now holding a shifting Jacob back with his son.

Joshua Uley was here, he was holding back a werewolf and his eyes were trained on his youngest child.

"Violet." He spoke up, struggling with the werewolf still spazzing his arms.

"No, no. This can't be happening." She whispered, shaking her head profusely as she neared.

"Violet I can explain." Sam spoke up, his words cutting off as Jacob was still trying to attack although Emmett had long since given up attempting to play defense as he had noticed Vi who was growing paler by the second.

"No! No! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" A power so eminence began to corrupt the walls she had built to keep her body calm. The rage burning as her hand lifted and she swiped right, feeling the burn lifting her. A white shot of rage leaving through her arm. And all at once a wall of fire broke between the vampires and werewolves. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

Everyone stopped their movements, halted their intake of breath as the fire soared with burning rage. The licks of fire stretching out to burn anyone dared cross it. Violet didn't even care in that moment, she could taste the power on the tip of tongue, noting how the flames molded to her liking.

The fire went on until finally she looked between either set of creatures, sighing out in relief that everyone had finally calmed down and they were silent. Well that was certainly one way to get them to shut the fuck up, she thought. The brunette knew no one would move in fear that she might actually cage them in fire so that gave her a moment to think clearly.

Seeing Joshua Uley was by far the straw that broke the camels back, or in Violets case the shove that forced her mental capability of shit to falter. The anger was all but telling her what to do, the pull of the fire clear in her mind as she dropped her hand and noticed that the fire kept going so long as she continued to imagine it. A breath escaped her, the hybrid composing herself as she once again took her place in front of the vampire clan and crossed her arms. Eyes latched onto the only blood she had left, well the ones she once had.

Between the flames Joshua and Sam Uley stared at what seemed to be the only the face of the sharp tongued teenage girl they both had love for, now she seemed to have grown in power. It was clear that Violet Uley was no longer in control and Vi had taken full charge.

Still Joshua wanted nothing but to explain himself, speak to the girl who he had held in his arms until she had fallen asleep as a baby. The very girl he had taught to love Frosted Flakes for dinner as a child. "Violet, sweetheart."

"Don't..." she cut him off, the words spewed out with more rage as the flames grew angrier. "Don't you fucking dare. You're dead to me and I highly suggest you shut your fucking mouth or you'll really be dead to everyone else."

It wasn't a threat, not the trademark Vioelt Uley ones that were just short lived but an actual promise, one the girl would go through wether he spoke or not.

No one else said a thing, most of the Cullen's never having witnessed this level of pure anger in the girls normally carefree attitude. Even Jasper, who could control emotions, didn't even dare try to fix the situation as he knew just what the girl was capable of. It was Emmett though that stepped up, placing his arm on her bare shoulder.

She jumped slightly when he touched her, his cold palm like a splash to the face as she turned her head to them. Noticing all of their faces with mixed emotions. She barely gave it a thought, "get Bella and Edward back to the party before anyone actually notices. I'll take care of this."

Jasper nodded, turning his head to his brother and the bride who was reluctant to leave. Edward however didn't give her much of a choice as they were a blur back to the party. Emmett however stayed put, taking a step nearest the angry elemental who had turned back to the wolves and dared any of them to move.

The flames were now dying down, Vi's eyes moving them until they were nothing but burnt remains embedded into the grass.

No one said a thing, even Jacob stayed silent, still in awe of what he had witnessed. All of them trying to make sense of what to do.

And that's when she glanced upwards, eyes cold, "any of you attempt to come near this party or my family I will personally test out my new abilities on you. Jake, we can talk later."

No one dared to answer her, it was quite clear that she didn't want an opinion on her words and it would be stupid to test her so slowly they all began to retreat.

Even the alpha, although he was stopped alongside his father because once again the former wolf queen spoke. "Oh and Sam, like our dearest father here you're dead to me. And I highly suggest for Emily's sake you keep father dearest here in line. I'd hate to give Jacob his rightful title."

She was drunk, or very well on her way. Her hair was now frizzing at the top and the expensive pair of shoes that Alice had given her to wear the whole night were now somewhere underneath one of the man tables. Instead the bare soles of her feet were pushing her to dance, humming to the best of the DJ's music as her hips swayed side to side and the glass of pure alcohol in her hand waved around.

Ever since she had gotten back Emmett had barely spoken 3 words to the girl and not because he didn't want to... because God did he want to speak to his mate but she wouldn't even look his way. Instead, the girl had spent the last hours of the night carelessly chugging away her sorrows with the bartender.

He sighed, realizing that maybe it was time to put her to bed. The girl was emotional and drinking, a reckless combination especially when it came to her new powers. He still couldn't believe she hadn't told him, judging by the look on his face Vi had to have known what she was doing.

Emmett didn't know why exactly he had steered clear of the girl, more then likely not attempting to fight or piss her off further. He also assumed his mate needed time to process and Violet did that best when she was alone, although he would have given anything to just hold her in his arms.

She twirled suddenly, smiling to no one in particular as her footsteps carried her near Emmett, offering him a surprising smile.

"Hey you," the slurred words clearly showed she was inebriated. A slightly glazed look in her eyes that he didn't know was from the drinks or from the pain. "Why have you left me lonely?"

Emmett wrapped his arms around her, encasing her in his strong arms as the both stood in one of the only lonesome corners.
"I thought you would want to be alone, seems to me like you've been having a good time."

She shook her head, placing a hand against his jawline. "Nope, I've been waiting for you all night polar bear. I'm always going to want to be with you. You're the only person that's never lied to me."

Emmett noticed the bitterness at the end of her words, watching as her eyes briefly flashed towards the woods before coming back to his own. He didn't like the look in her eyes, harboring nothing but anger. He changed directions in the conversation, thinking it better to discuss this when she was stable. "Are you drunk?"

"Nope." She smiled, grasping his hand and pulling him onto the dance floor where humans were just slow dancing. "I'm high. I'm high on life, you know loosing the last bit of blood you have left really does that to a person. It shows just how much of life you can't get down on, so I'm choosing not to feel like shit over it. I'm choosing you, and the Cullen's. You know they say you can't choose family but you can choose who is your family."

"What are you saying?" He cocked a brow at the girl, wondering just where she was going.

"It means I'm no longer a human, I'm not very much of a wolf now, and I am definitely not a Uley that's for sure. So at the end of the day who the fuck am I?" She questioned, appearing more sober then ever. It was emotions in her eye, not the effects of alcohol. "You know what I want to be? Yours. I want to be just yours, and I want you to be just mine."

"I thought we already were?" He answered back slowly, still not knowing what was going on in her head.

"Not really," she answered lowly. "Not in any way that matters in today society."

"So what are you saying? You want to get married?" Emmett joked, finding humor in her thoughts. They were all over the place and if it weren't for the last of her sanity hanging on by a thread he would be laughing.

"That's exactly what I'm saying." She quickly answered, her eyes narrowing into his own. "Let's get married."

"What? You're serious?" Emmett stopped swaying, holding her still. He hadn't known how to ask her about this for a very log time, in fact, he assumed that she wouldn't be up for the big fiasco. However, now, despite the alcohol on her breath, he could tell that this was his Vi. The girl spoke nothing but truth.

"Yes, I am. I'm not a Uley and I can't just be Violet Odessa... might as well ship me off to Woodstock with that name. And right now the person I love more then anyone in this world is you, so what do you say marriage?" The brunette smiled, pushing her boyfriends hands down so they could grasp one another's palms.

"Oh god, I can't believe this is actually happening like this but yes. Let's do it, I want nothing more in the world then to make you my Violet Odessa Cullen." Emmett answered her, grinning.

"Vi Cullen." She corrected him, pulling him in for a kiss. Their lips brushing up against one another when she spoke. "New leaf and all that shit, I'm Vi now. To hell with the Uley's."
