In the Right's training room...
Bash deftly blocked Blake's attacks, countering with his own. Breaker silently watches from the side, cheering for both the older males. "You need to punch harder, Mr. Boxing Gloves." Shirou chides. Hibiki lets out a huff of breath after blocking the blonde's kick. "Got it." He nods, going for a punch. The punch landing on the middle child's gut, forcing him back a few inches. He looks up with a crooked grin. "Better."
"Shiro-nee! Are you okay?" Shou calls out. "I'm fine." The blonde replies, annoyed. He hated when people ask him that. It made him feel like they were looking down at him, like he was weak; like he wasn't capable.
"Focus!" Blake yells, gaining Bash's attention. The blonde barely dodges the eldest's drop-kick. "Is that all you got? C'mon; give me a challange!" The blonde scoffs. Hibiki smirks, cracking his knuckles. "If that's what you want." He shrugs.
30 minutes later...
Both the older brothers land their final attack, their fists colliding with each other--sending the brothers flying across the room, slamming into the walls. Then, Blake collapse onto the cold wooden floor. "Biki-nee!" Shou exclaims, dashing to his brother's side. He quickly brought the redhead to a nearby bench. After making sure his oldest brother was alright, the ravenette turns towards his second brother.
Only to see the blond trying to stand up with wobbly legs. His fatigue evident. The youngest rushes forward. "Shiro-nee! Are you--" Before he could finish, the second child raise a hand to shush the youngest. "I'm not weak. Go check up on him." He says, gesturing to Hibiki. Shou looks at the blonde worriedly, then hesitantly nods. He sits down beside Hibiki handing him a water botol. The red head eagerly takes large gulps of the cold liquid.
"Heh, tired already, Mighty Leader?" Shirou coos mockingly. Hibiki says nothing out of tiredness, but instead fixes the blonde with a sharp glare. "Sheesh, you don't have be so grumpy!" Shirou rolls his eyes at the eldest. Shou gazes at his brother with a pout. "Sto--"
"I mean; C'mon!" The blonde states, cutting the ravenette off. "You're weaker, dumber, and lazier than me! How the heck did you become leader?" Shirou marvels. "Oh right! You appointed yourself!" He adds bitingly.
Hibiki stood up angrily, glaring at his younger brother. "Shut up! I deserve to be the leader!" He snaps defensively. Leadership has always been hard for the redhead to grasp. Ever since they became heroes, he had doubted whether or not he was the right choice. What Shirou said stung him; because it was the truth. The blonde wa--is smarter, stronger and more diligent than the eldest. Shou is more agile and charming too. Causing the eldest to often doubt himself.
"Why? Because you're the oldest?" Shirou raises a brow, staring back at Hibiki unflichingly. "P-please! St--" Shou squeks out meekly. Only to be stoped by his older brother's harsh glare. "That's all you ever do, huh? Just scream and plead like a helpless child, while we do all the hard work." The blonde sneers. The ravenette gazes at the floor dejectedly. Shou had trouble when it came to confidence; he was too afraid of what others think. The way others think, talk about him, always scared him.
"Shut it, Shirou!" Hibiki growls. "Oh, how scary~" The blonde coos. "What's wrong with you? We're doing our best!" The eldest shouts, his blood boiling. "Exactly! Your 'best' isn't enough! No wonder we always lose." The second grumbles. All the anger he bottled up, all the frustration from seeing villains helping heroes, the weakness he felt when he--a supposed hero--could only watch, unleashes. Hibiki's anger finally reaches its peak, something inside him snaps.
"Agggghhh!!!" The redhead screams out, balling his fists.
He looks at his brother's blue eyes, his own flaring with anger. The tips of his hair turned the same hue as his eyes. He points his palm torwards Shirou, the latter raising a suspicious brow. Suddenly, a stream of fire shoots out of his palm. The blonde jumps to the side, barely dodging the attack. He glares at his brother. The redhead opens his palm, a ball of flame burning. "Apologizes. Now." He orders. Shirou grits his teeth, clenching his fist. "Are you trying to kill me? Well, go ahead! Kill me, hero!" The second child shrieks.
"STOP IT!!!" Shou yells, a strong gust of wind suddenly blowing. It was so strong, that it slammed the older brothers into a wall(again). "Ahh! S-sorry!" The ravennete yelps, the breeze instantly fanishing. The youngest quickly sprints to the eldest's side. "Heh...hahaha!" Blake unexpectedly starts laughing. 'Oh no, that attacked damaged his brain--not that he had a good one. He's become crazy.' Shirou thought. Hibiki stares at Shou with glee. "Don't you realized what just happen?" He smirks. The youngest scratches his head. "Umm, you were slammed into a wall?" He cocks his head to the side.
"No! Well, yes. But, that's not the point!" The redhead then grasps Shou's small hands in his own. "We...just got our elementals!!" He grins broadly. The youngest brother stares at him blankly, owlishly. Blinking a few times, his head processing. Then the realisation dawns on him. His eyes widen, sparkling. A wide smile on his face. "Yay!" He cheers, hugging his eldest brother. Then, they lean back from each other. Hibiki opens his palm, watching intently as a small flame flickers. Shou starts moving his hand as if he was a conductor. The results, he could feel a soft breeze grazing his skin. The two busily experiment with their new powers, the previous argument complete forgotten.
Forgetting, that a blonde was glaring at them enviously. "Why...?" Shirou mumbles. His figure shaking with anger. The 'elemental-awaken' brothers turn towards the second brother. "Why don't I get elemental powers...?" He asks. Shou frowns. "Don't worry, brother! You'll probably get your powers soon!" He conjoles, trying to cheer his brother up. "Why am I always last...?" The blonde looks up. Tears of anger and frustration gliding down his face. "I'm stronger than both of you. I'm smarter than both of you! I WORK TWICE AS HARD! WHY DO I ALWAYS GET MY POWERS LAST?!?" He screams. He stares at the ground, his knuckles turning white due to the intense grip.
"I worked twice as hard to be a hero...to be something I'm not, someone I never wanted to be. I trained, to be stronger...to not be a liability. I strived for a goal that wasn't mine, a dream I never had, a fate I never chose..." Shirou admits, the truth coming out as smooth as the tears that stream down his cheeks.
Hibiki eyes soften, gazing at his brother. "Why?" He questions gently. He knew his brother wasn't enthusiastic about being a hero, it was obvious. But he never thought that his younger brother felt forced to be a hero.
Shirou shoots his older brother a glare. "Because of you..." He admits. "When we got our powers, you were the one that suggested we become heroes. You thought that just because you were the oldest you get to decide what we want--who we are." He says, shaking with all the frustration he hide. The blonde casts a glance at his younger brother. "Maybe he wanted to be a hero, or maybe he just doesn't care." He gestures to the ravenette. Then, he places a hand over his chest. "But I don't! I never wanted to be a hero! I just wanted a simple life. But, I'm stuck protecting people I don't even care about!" He shouts.
Hibiki looks at his brother. "Br--" The redhead starts. "Shut it!" The blonde snaps. He turn his head, wiping away the tears. "I am not a hero." He states, walking away. "But most of all..." He stands just in front of the exit door. He faces the two males. A look of pure hate on the blonde's face. "I, AM NOT YOUR BROTHER." He announces, then disappears through the door.
"Shirou!" Shou makes a move to after him, only to be stopped by a hand holding his wrist. "Let him go. He needs to cool off." Hibiki states. Shou gazes at the door despondently, then at his brother. "But--" He starts. The redhead shakes his head. "You know that I know that we know, Shirou doesn't like people doting or caring too much about him. He needs to be alone right now."
"B-but, we're his brothers!" The ravenette argues. 'According to him, we're not though.' The thought crosses his mind. But he wasn't going to say that. "And, as his brothers, we must respect his wish. He needs to blow off some steam. And, he wants to be alone." Hibiki says. The youngest sighs, not able to fight or deny his eldest brother's words anymore. He casts a plaintive look outside, to the unknown night sky--where his second brother disappear. Hibiki follows the ravennetes gaze. But both brothers had the same thought.
'Wherever you are, stay safe...brother.'

And, finish!
I'll be honest here; just like the previous chapter, this didn't turn out as I originally plan.
But I think, overall, the results are better.
Hope you enjoy and I hope it made you weep. (Cause it definitely made me sad😭😢)
