Melting Ice (Brat)
Finally! I can continue this story :3
I originally planned this to be about both Brat and Breaker.
But I decided to make this chapter purely about Brat's troubles. And well, how...she'll learn an important lesson.
P.S, this will be sad. Enjoy!

The ravennete male gapes at the blonde Punk. The girl raises a brow. "What?" She asks, annoyed. Breaker snaps out of his trance, shaking his head. "N-nothing!" He yelps, waving his hands frantically. Brat sweatdrops. "Jeez, why are you so jumpy?" She inquires. Breaker opens his mouth, then closes it. He brings his knees to his chest, hugging himself. "Wh-why do you c-care?" He mumbles, just loud enough to be audible. The blonde stares at him for a few moments. With a sigh, she shakes her own head. "Sheesh, now you're making it look like I'm bulliying you or something."
The girl slowly stands up, then jumps down to stand a few feet away from the ravennete. She gazes at him for a moment, her eyes softening. "Wh-why are you h-here?" The male squeks, glancing at her through the corner of his eye. The blonde shrugs. "Not like I had a choice. It was a direct order from the Mighty Leader..." She explains, sitting down. Then, she looks away. Her eyes...forlorn? She sighs, gazing at something only she can see. "Besides, I don't want to make both my sisters disappointed in me..." She mutters under her breath.
Breaker slowly lifts his head, surprised. Brat was always the confident one. At least, that's what Breaker assumes. Unlike himself, the blonde doesn't second guess herself. She's practically the definition of self-confidence--and maybe arrogance as well.
But, right here, right now; Breaker was seeing a side of Brat that probably no one has ever seen: the human side. "Wh-what ha-happened?" The male asks, softly. The girl's gaze shifts to meet the ravennete. Bash once mused about how Brat's eyes looked like a frozen lake, enchanting but also mysterious; because, it can carefully hide anything underneath that frozen surface. And to break that suface it would take a lot of effort. (Bash can be surprisingly philosophical, at times)
If her eyes were like a frozen lake, then Breaker is watching as the ice slowly melts. Not enough to crack, but enough to see the clear water underneath all that ice.
"I said something...that I can never take back." She answers, inhaling shakily. "Can I ask you something?" She whispers, . Breaker turns around completely, curious. The blonde didn't make eye contact--something the ravennete could understand. "If you said something...mean about someone, and you tried to apologize, but that someone just ignores you; what do you do?" She questions, her voice sad. Breaker looks down. 'Did something happened between the Punks?' The ravennete thought. "Umm, I-I'm not sure...I've n-never made so-someone mad...at least not that I k-know of." Breaker answer, voice growing smaller with each word.
"Of course you haven't. You're not like me..." Brat laughs bitterly. The girl shakes her head ruefully. She takes a deep breath, closing her blue eyes. Slowly, she opens them; once again, the lake is frozen. "Anyways, what about you? Why are you here?" She questions, merely glancing at the male. "Oh! Uhh, I th-thought...I j-just...." Breaker stutters. Brat stays quiet, patiently waiting for him to answer. "You don't have to tell me." She says, gently. Breaker shakes his head. He takes a deep breath.
"M-my bro-brothers...I t-think they're fighting? I don't really k-know. I ca-came here to clear my m-mind." He whispers, in the tiniest voice he could muster. Thankfully, Brat could hear him--well, mostly...okay, she could hear just enough to get the gist of it.
"Hmm, how about this?" Brat pipes up, gaining the ravennete's attention. "I tell you what happened with my sisters, you tell me what happened with your brothers. And, then we help each other out. Okay?" She conjoles. Breaker blinks at her. "Umm, how are w-we going to help o-one an-nother?" He inquires, tilting his head. Brat shrugs. "I'm not sure. I'm not the smart one after all. But, since I can't really vent to either of my sisters, so I guess...we can talk. Besides you're a compasionate person." The girl says. "Uhh, t-thanks?" Breaker smiles nervously, unsure how to react.
"But, if you want to tell me...I don't mind listening." The male pipes up. Brat nods, and takes a deep breath. "Well, I said some things that I wish I could take back. It was out of line, and it was stupidly cruel of me to say. But, I said it anyways. I said it, though I knew how hurt she'd be. I said it, though she would never hurt me." Brat swallows as a lump of regret forms in her throat. "If you knew it'd hurt them...why'd you say it?" Breaker asks softly. Brat shakes her head. "I told you; I was stupid. I was stressed out, and I took it out on someone who didn't deserve it--all the while, thinking I was in the right." She answers, slumping.
Taking a ragged breath, she continues. "I...always thought of them like role models, you know? My sisters, I mean. Berserk is incredibly smart and strategic. She always think logical, and she's level-headed--when she needs to be." Brat adds, noticing Breaker's dubious expression. "Heh, she may not look like it; but, no one can doubt her abbilities." She says, the image of the redhead flashing across her mind. Breaker idly plays with his fingers. "Umm, what about Brute?" He inquires. The blonde scans the male's expression for a moment before chuckling.
"Well, Brute is...strong--physically and mentally. She's a bit stubborn, not easily swayed by flowery words. She doesn't take sh--" Brat stops herself, glancing at Breaker. "...she doesn't give a darn about what others think. She's ready to defend herself, whether her ideals or her person." The girl sighs. "My sisters...are awesome. They're the best of friends." She adds, her voice sad. The ravennete looks at her curiously. "Then, what's t-the problem?" He questions, tilting his head. Brat takes a deep breath, then leans back. "Whenever I'm with them, I feel like an outsider. Someone who's just looking in." She waves her hand in front of her face. The blonde looks up at the night sky despondently.
"I'll tell you a little story." She says suddenly. Her eyes looked distant, staring at a memory only she could see. "One day, when I was really young, my family went camping. I wasn't really used to doing things by myself. But Berserk and Brute...they loved it. They chopped wood, went fishing, and well, I just complained." The blonde chuckles bitterly, still avoiding eye contact. "On the last day, I decided to sleep in. I woke up around 8 or 9. When I went to the kitchen, I saw my sisters baking together--along with our father. But, suddenly Berserk threw some flour at Brute. And then, they started to play around--making 'flour-angels' and even father, smiled. They were like...a perfect, happy family." The girl takes a shaky breath, before proceeding. "Just Berserk, Brute and...their father. They looked like a happy family--and I was just a stranger. Just someone looking in." The blonde closes her eyes.
"I felt left out. My sisters did things together, and I...never joined them. I wanted to--but, I felt like I would just disturb them. So, I never bothered them. When we got older, I got the confidence to ask them to play--or just, hang out with me. But, it was too late..." Brat swallows as she slowly opens her glassy eyes. "They were too busy; Brute was always training, improving herself. I could never keep up. She had tournaments to enter, matches to win and people to beat. I didn't want to get in her way. The fews times I do spend with her, she always seem agitated and restless. Like, she d-didn't want to be t-there." The girl stutters, tears prickling in the corner of her eyes. She takes another deep breath.
"Berserk was always busy. Helping father, doing the chores, she did so many things; I barely saw her. We had--what? Like, at least 30 servants! She could just let them do all the work. But...that's not Berserk. She's not that type of person. She is responsible, and a workaholic. She doesn't like asking for help--unless it was necessary, that is. Whenever I'm with her, I feel...inferior. She was great, at everything she did. She's only bad at a few thing. So, I...avoid hanging out with her. But, when we do, she's always doing something else. She's a hardcore multi-tasker." Brat gives a bark-like laugh. Breaker scans her expression throughly, she was closed to crying--but for some reason, she doesn't.
"You...you're sad. But, you're not crying. You never break. I need to ask, how? How do you do it? You're strong mentally and emotionally, you don't let your emotions cloud your judgement. How do you...stay strong?" Breaker inquires, gazing at the blonde. Brat closes her eyes.

Flashback--11 years ago...
A 5 year old Minako grined broadly as she swung high into the air, her blonde locks swishing. They were all at a play-ground. Herself on the swings, Kasumi doing laps, their father sitting on a bench, casually reading a newspaper quite a distance away from them--all the while ignoring the adoring/flirty stares from people. While Moriko was...somewhere. Last the blonde saw her, the redhead was playing chess with some elderly. But, when the girl turned to look at the chess table where her sister previously was, she was gone.
Although curious where the eldest was, Minako was having too much fun to really care. "Having fun?" A voice asked, chuckling. The blonde giggled. "Yeah!" Minako chirped gleefully. "Thanks, sis!" She adds. Moriko nods, smirking. Then, the realization dawned on the blonde. "Riko-nee!" She squeled in surprise. In her shock, the girl accidently lets go of the metal chains--causing her to be flung a few feet ahead. "Oww!" The blonde wailed, clutching her knee. Tears streaming down her face.
"Minako!" Her sisters shout in concern. Their father stood up in alarm, then stops himself. He'll let his girls handle this first. He scaned the situation intently.
"Minako! Are you alright?" Kasumi questioned, running then kneeling besides her sister. The blonde shaked her head, still crying. Moriko came to kneel in front of the crying girl. "Mina-chan! I'm so sorry!" The redhead said, hugging the blonde. "T-this is a-all your f-fault!" Minako cried. "Yes, yes. I know." Moriko says, patting the blonde's back. Slowly, the redhead pulled away, wiping her sister's tears. "Can you stand?" She asked gently.
The blonde shakes her head. Brute took out her hankerchief and tied it around her sister's knee tightly. The ravennete and redhead stood up. "C'mon, try it!" Moriko conjoled. Minako stared at her sisters, worried. Then she looks down, grasping at her torn dress. Her sisters' eyes soften. "C'mon, be strong. We know you can." Kasumi add. Hesitantly, Minako stood up shakily. Her sisters quickly take one of her arms and drapped it across their shoulders, respectively.
"Yay! You did it!" The eldest cheered. "We're proud of you, little sis." Kasumi smiled. The youngest female tilts her head. Blinking at her older sisters owlishly. "R-really...?" Minako stuttered. The two older siblings nod. "Yeah! You were really strong!" Moriko smiled. Kasumi nod, a proud look on her face.
"Mina-chan, we'll always be there for you. But, we can't control the future." Moriko started. "There will be times when we can't help you; times when you have to fight for yourself." Kasumi continued. The blonde female gazed at the other two, curiously confused. She didn't understand; why would she be alone? Her sisters would always be with her...right?
"Promise us, that no matter what life throws at you, you'll be strong." Brute said. The ravennete held out her pinky. The blonde looked at her nervously, unsure. "Please, sister? Promise us you'll try to be strong, for us?" Berserk conjoled, smiling softly. The redhead also held out her pinky. Brat took a deep breath. With a resolute nod, her eyes gleamed with determination. She interwined her pinkies with her sisters', the promise made. "A-alright! I promise to be strong! Always!" She exclaimed. Her sisters smiled.
"Yeah! That's my Mina-chan!" Moriko laughed, ruffling the youngest's hair. "The strongest girl--next to me, of course." Kasumi chuckled, ending with a wink. Minako couldn't help but to smile, the pain in her knee completely forgotten. Oppressor Plutonium smiled happily, watching his beloved daugthers.

Present time...
Brat opens her eyes, taking a ragged breath. "I made a promise; one, that I fully intend to keep." She replies firmly. "I, ha--no, I need to be strong. So, they'd be proud of me..." She sighs, whispering the last part. She brought her knees to her chest, looking down. "I want them to be proud..." Brat mumbles, hiding her face in her knees. Breaker gazes at the blonde Punk sympathically. Looking at the stars above, he mutters--just loud enough to be heard. "I understand." No stuttering, no pause, but pure confidence. Brat doesn't look up, but merely peeks at him through the corner of her eye.
"I always admire my b-brothers. For obvious re-reasons. I want to m-make them proud. But..." Breaker gives a gentle smile. "I don't hide my emotions. Bottling them up is never a good thing." The male points out. "I understand that you don't want to seem weak; but, being sad, crying or even having feelings in general, is never a weakness." The male stood up, walking towards the blonde. Instinctively, Brat casts him a suspicious glare. Surprisingly, the ravennete doesn't react, he simply continued to walk before stopping besides the girl. Crouching down, Breaker looks at the blonde earnestly. "Having feelings--whether positive or negative--just proves you're human." The boy comments softly.
Hesitantly, the male slowly wraps his arms around the girl loosely. Breaker knows that Brat practically despises the Rights--well, disgusted beyond comprehension would be more accurate. Honestly, the male is just waiting for the blonde to push him away in disgust--but she doesn't. In fact, the blonde's figure started to shake. Unexpectedly, she burried her face in the male's shoulder, hugging him desperately. "I-I ju-just want to m-make th-them pr-roud!" Brat sobs, her strong facade finally breaking.
The Ice has Melted, And The Lake is Over-Flowing...
"No matter what powers we get, no matter how strong we are; in the end, we are all human." Breaker says, soothingly. "You don't have to hide how you feel, or who you are. Just tell your sisters the truth." He adds. Brat shakes her head defiantly, choking on a sob. "I-I do-on't want to a-annoy them...they've al-ready done s-so mu-much for m-me. I don't w-want to be a b-burden..." She whimpers, tears streaming down her face.
"From what you've told me, you aren't." Breaker conjoles. "Your sisters obviously love you very much, they'd never think of you like that. And, you evidently love them. You shouldn't hide from them; you can always, always confide in the ones you love." The male continues, a wistful look in his green eyes. The blonde slowly lets go. Taking a shaky breath, she closes her eyes.
Slowly, she opens her blue eyes. Despite the tears running down her cheeks, the smile on her lips is soft--and genuine. "Thank you." Brat whispers. Her expression earnest.
No longer wearing the mask of the 'strong' girl, no longer hiding behind the icy wall she made, no longer the girl who acts as if she already has everything; but, just her, Brat--the girl who just wants her sisters' approval, and affection.

Aright!...this was sad.
And very relatable--for me.
I'm not sure about you all, but hope you enjoyed it nonetheless.
Anyways, the 'advice' is inspired by the song "Be Kind".
Oh, and I'll be doing 1 chapter dedicated to each Punk/Right, individually.
