Epilogue
8 Months Later
The shrill crying could be heard throughout the darkened apartment, shattering the peace of the night. Lia let a small groan fall from her lips as she half buried her face under a pillow. She didn't know what time it was, but her body could tell it was too early. As she shoved her head even further underneath the pillow to try to escape the sound of crying, Lia felt a pair of strong, sturdy arms wrap about her from behind followed by their face burying itself in the back of her sensitive neck.
"Babies have no sense of time, do they?"
Jungkook - his voice husky from being half asleep - posed the question, causing Lia to crack a faint grin. She slipped her hands down, letting them rest on top of where Jungkook's were on her stomach as he spooned her.
"No, they don't, but it's your turn."
"I think you're pulling my leg," muttered Jungkook as he curled in closer to her; the warmth of his breath against the back of her neck sending shivers down her spine.
Lia felt one of Jungkook's fingers begin to trace the hem of the blue silk pajamas that Taehyung had gotten her as a gift. His finger started to paint naughty patterns across her lower stomach, causing her to suck in her breath as she became ever more alert.
"You stiffened," said Jungkook with a laugh. "You're not sleepy anymore, are you?"
"Is that your plan? To arouse me into being awake to get the baby?" asked Lia as she felt Jungkook's finger disappear only to be replaced by his palm. He slid it up under the front of her silk pajama shirt, cresting the bottom of one of her breasts. His hand paused at the bottom of it, slowly going back and forth as if massaging it.
"Perhaps..."
"I want Taehyung then."
"He would do the same thing. He hates getting up too."
"You don't know that."
"I do though. I know him better than you. We share the same body after all."
"That may be true, but you're two completely different people...Besides it's your son that is crying."
Junseo's crying was joined by Dowoo's just a few seconds after Lia had spoken those words; the disjointed stereo wailing reaching both of their ears.
"Two pairs of hands makes light work..." said Jungkook in a teasing voice, echoing words that Lia always said to both him or Taehyung when they felt like being lethargic and lazy.
"Fine, we'll work together to get them back to sleep and then we'll go back to bed ourselves," said Lia as she sat up once Jungkook removed his hand from underneath her top.
She threw her legs over the side of the bed before opening the door to the bedroom. She padded down the shag carpeted hallway, guided only by the moonlight streaming in through the curtains. Even though the place felt large when she was asleep, it really wasn't. Mr. Kim had insured that she, Jungkook, Taehyung and the boys would have a suitable place to live but that it was close by to his house in case. That had caused the five of them to live in an apartment only five blocks away from Mr. Kim's house at a place with posh middle-aged people that did not have kids nor were probably happy each time either Dowoo or Junseo no doubt woke them with their crying.
"Boys, shhh..." whispered Lia as she opened the half-cracked door of their nursery once she reached it.
Slipping into the room, she went over to scoop up Dowoo in her arms. His smurf blue hair glowed in the moonlight as Lia shushed him in a calming rhythm, swaying her hips back and forth slowly as she tried to calm him. Jungkook entered the room shortly after her, picking up Junseo in his arms and doing the same thing. Lia eventually found her way towards a rocking chair in the room and took a seat now that Dowoo's crying had subsided some. As she rocked, she looked over at Jungkook who currently had his back to her as he continued to softly bounce Junseo back to sleep. She couldn't help the soft smile that lined her lips seeing what a good father he was.
Within fifteen minutes, they had both of the boys back asleep. Lia gently got up from the rocking chair as Jungkook bent over to lay Junseo back down in his crib. Lia moved to do the same with Dowoo before they both moved to silently tip-toe out of the bedroom. They walked back down the hallway to their room. No sooner had Lia entered the bedroom than Jungkook grabbed her by the wrist. Lia turned to face him, locking her eyes with his. Even though it was half dark, she could see that almost animalistic, naughty gleam in his eyes.
"Do you remember the first sentence you ever spoke to me?" asked Jungkook, causing a surprised look to cross Lia's face. "You said it to me shortly after that man tried to assault you in the stairwell."
"I...I don't remember."
"Well, I do and I'm going to say the words right back to you now because I mean them more than ever."
"Huh?"
Lia watched as Jungkook took a few steps forward until he was just a few inches from her.
"Thank you for saving me," said Jungkook as a small grin tugged the corner of his lips. "You gave my life purpose again."
"Now you're just being cheesy to try and get some..." said Lia.
"Nah...but if it works, suppose that's a bonus."
Lia was about to playfully slap him on the forearm, but Jungkook's reflexes were too fast. He caught her raised hand in his, bringing it down to rest on his chest before leaning forward to capture her lips in a kiss. Lia immediately closed her eyes as her lips slipped in place over his; their tongues almost instantly at war with one another as he moved her until her back came to rest against the chilly bedroom wall.
Jungkook was soon dropping her hand as his hands instead found their way onto her hips. She had still not lost the baby weight she had put on, but Jungkook didn't care. Taehyung didn't either. All they seemed to really care about was her. She let out a moan into Jungkook's mouth as she felt his fingers gripping the elastic band of her silk bottoms, tugging them downwards. The air rushed over her thighs as he slid them hastily downwards, pressing his body against her as his lips broke from hers with a wet 'pop', moving to begin kissing along her jaw. She felt him chuckle against her jawline when his fingers realized there was still a barrier in the way even with the silk bottoms now about her ankles.
"What are you laughing about?" asked Lia in a shaky voice, feeling his hands moving away from their new discovery to the front of her silk top.
"You are wearing lace underwear," he whispered against her neck. "You were obviously just as needy as me."
"That doesn't mean I..."
Lia's words were cut off and replaced by a moan as he began to pop open the buttons of her silk top. He was not graceful in doing so; Lia feeling one fly off and onto the floor. Jungkook shoved the top back so that it slipped off her shoulders, sliding down her arms as he moved a hand to explore her now exposed chest.
Just when Lia was sure he would do the deed up against the wall, Jungkook yanked her away from it. He moved away from her momentarily as he moved to tug his shirt up and toss it onto the floor. Lia kicked off the bottoms that had pooled at her ankles before she finished shrugging off the top that had been unbuttoned. A smirk lined Jungkook's lips as she did that, grabbing her by the hand after he was standing in just his boxers as he walked her towards the bed. He lifted her up by the hips once they reached the bed; Lia slightly bouncing to rest on her back on top of the bedspread. Jungkook moved to crawl up the bed until his face was above her own again. She bit her bottom lip as she felt his silky touch find the waistband of her underwear.
"You're mine, Lia. Now and at least every other day."
They both smirked before he crashed his lips against hers again; her underwear coming down in one fell swoop as she rolled her hips up against him.
That night the posh middle-aged people living in the building with them couldn't decide what was louder: the cry of the babies or the sounds of what was no doubt another baby being made.
