Delilah Miller wasn't one of the 43 babies born on that October day. No, she was just a normal girl who was moved from her home in England to a small flat near The Umbrella Academy. Her mother was broke and barely earning enough at Griddy's doughnuts and thought it was a miracle when Reginald Hargreeves approached her. Her mother always said it would be a brilliant opportunity for Delilah, that she'd be forever grateful to her and Reginald. However, on the first day of meeting the man, she also met 7 extraordinary children before being injected with their blood. It seemed this 'brilliant opportunity' involved Delilah becoming a part of The Umbrella Academy and after the experiments carried out on her, the media named her The Hybrid.

Over her years at the academy, Delilah still lived with her mother, yet she found herself visiting the academy even on 'days off' after blood transplants. Her and Klaus built a relationship only 2 members of the Academy knew about, but when Klaus' drug habit got out of hand and he refused help, Delilah distanced herself and when Ben died, she packed up her things and left. Leaving her mother behind as she returned home to England, trying to leave her old life at the academy in the past. Unfortunately, leaving Vanya alone and Klaus' addiction to develop.

Now, in 2019, Delilah barely has enough money for her flat and she hops between jobs until one morning, she wakes to the news of Reginald Hargreeves' death. She didn't even go to her mother's funeral, so she didn't know why she packed her things and got on a flight back. Delilah thought it'd be a simple funeral, but it never is with them and soon she's dragged into stopping the apocalypse and somehow, it brings her and Klaus together again and forces her to attempt to use the powers she'd been 'gifted'.
