Chapter 2: Family

Annoyed, Jungkook went to Ilene's room, the woman he got pregnant with. He barged inside her room and saw Ilene covering her son's mouth, who was sitting on the bed, to shush him. She was frightened, seeing Jungkook standing at the door.

"J-Jungkook, I-I'm sorry, Gyu d-didn't mean to cry that loud. H-he fell to the ground, I'm sorry." Ilene tried to protect her son from Jungkook.

She knew he will beat Gyu, their son, but since Jungkook didn't want to claim Gyu as his son, she was the one who was responsible for Gyu.

"Sorry? Did you know what happened, hah?!"

Ilene hissed in pain when Jungkook tugged her hair.

"I'm really sorry, J-Jungkook, that won't happen again. I-I'm sorry." Ilene cried in agony.

Jungkook let go of her hair, whimpers left her mouth because Jungkook threw her on the floor. Her back collided with the wall of the room. She looked at Jungkook and noticed that Gyu bit Jungkook's hand.

"Stop! S-stop hurting, Mom!" Gyu glared at Jungkook.

His small figure was trying to protect his mom from his father. It was obvious that he was scared because he was shaking badly while standing in front of his mother.

"It's all my fault! Don't blame her! D-don't hurt, Mom. Please, Father!" Gyu sobbed.

Gyu flinched when Jungkook grabbed his face. The grip was tight that it almost shattered his small face compared to Jungkook's hand. He is a thin and weak kid, the same as his mother's figure.

"Father? Don't call me that, you are not my son, and I am not your father. You will never be my son."

And Jungkook yanked Gyu from him, who fell to the ground.

"Now, you deserve to be punished for interrupting me. You are an annoying kid." Without hesitation, the belt landed on Gyu's body.

"Argh!"

Whimpers and cries filled the room while Jungkook kept smacking Gyu with the belt, who was curling himself due to the pain and also to protect his beaten body from the belt.

"Jungkook, please stop, I'm begging you." Ilene pleaded, holding Jungkook's left leg.

"Stop? This wouldn't happen at all if you know how to discipline your child. You're lucky I'm teaching him how to behave." Jungkook kicked her away and smacked the belt once again on Gyu's leg, which had already been hit.

"I-I will discipline him, don't hurt him anymore. Don't worry, I promise he will learn his lesson. P-please, stop." Ilene begged, hoping Jungkook would listen to her.

She was forced to look up when Jungkook tugged her hair.

"As you should, if you fail to do that, you should prepare to pack your things and leave my house." Jungkook said, slapping her face.

He looked at Gyu who was crying and rolled his eyes.

"Disgusting" He uttered under his breath and left the room.

Why don't Gyu and Ilene leave the house?

It's because Ilene was afraid that she couldn't raise Gyu alone. After her parents found out that she was pregnant at the young age, of 17 years old, they kicked her out, feeling disgusted with her. Ilene was an average person but because of her pregnancy, her family cut off their relationship with her even financially.

Ilene had nothing but Gyu in her life, if she leaves Jungkook's house, she doesn't know how will she start her life. After all, Jungkook is still feeding them, that's why they are still alive. She needs Jungkook in her life, even though she's been suffering at his hands.

Besides, it sounds stupid, but she still hopes that Jungkook will accept them and love her back.

The reason she didn't abort the baby was that she thought that Jungkook will accept her if he has his child, but she didn't expect Jungkook will hate her to the guts. Jungkook doesn't believe that Gyu was his son because he kept inserting into his mind that Ilene was a whore, even though she's not. He's the only guy that Ilene let use her body.

She knew what happened between them was a mistake, but during that time, she was seriously in love with Jungkook, and that's why she didn't hesitate to give her body to him. Jungkook was a year older than her, she was seventeen and Jungkook was eighteen. She knew that Jungkook likes to mess up with people, but she disregards it.

Does Jungkook tell her to abort the baby?

Yes, Jungkook did.

But the reason Gyu was with them was that Jungkook's parents found out about her pregnancy. Since they are very religious parents, they believe aborting the baby is a sin, that's why they told Jungkook not to abort the baby and if he did, they will cut off their support to him.

And Jungkook, of course, agreed with them because he doesn't have anything to financially support himself. His parents surely will do anything to make their image clean from the public.

Now, they have Gyu who was also suffering in Jungkook's hands. He's just 8 years old, but Jungkook doesn't give mercy to him since he was born. Jungkook never treated Gyu as his son, he was disgusted by the fact that Gyu was made. Gyu was aware of Jungkook's metal hands because he got used to them when he was 5.

"I'm sorry, baby, please forgive Mom." Ilene hugged her son, pitying his state right now.

"I-I'm hurt, Mom, it hurts so much. Please, let's leave now, I don't want to be here. Father won't accept me, I don't like him, Mom." Gyu winced in pain.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine. Just bear with it, okay? Please - don't leave Mom, we will leave together. Just give me some time, trust me. I will give you a better life, okay? I promise that." Ilene sobbed while Gyu was crying on her chest.

She always failed to protect him, she was sorry that Gyu was experiencing this. If she could just stand on her legs, she will run away right now with her son.
