Same Old, Same Old (lyttlejoe) (1)
Same old, same old
Love at first sight or so it might seem
These mortals do really like to dream
Even when I have them in my sight
Somehow they never get it right
For 3000 years I've been piercing those hearts
with hundreds of millions of Cupid's darts
some of lead, some of gold
depending on how their dreams unfold
My two moms and this Valentine guy
Taught me the skills I annually ply
Two were Roman and one was Greek
From them I learned how lovers speak
They send candies and flowers
Sit mooning for hours
Holding hands, breathing sighs
Rolling puppy dog eyes
C'mon you people, enough of this schlock
Just two arrows left and I'm off the clock
