Part Three: The Terrible Papyrus

Flowey told me to stop. I had been walking for about an hour and nothing had happened, surprisingly. The feeling of determination now moved to the front of my chest, where I felt my breath increase and the adrenaline already pump through my veins.

The flower then told me to run and I did, glancing over my shoulder just to see who I was running away from. It was a skeleton, who looked as tall as one and a half of me, running with the most terrifying expression I had seen in probably forever. I ran faster.

"Stop, human! I, the terrible Papyrus, demand you stop running! I will capture you and--Just stop running!" He sounded mad but winded, something that I didn't feel.

I had at least one advantage over this monster.

Flowey continued to be my eyes and occasionally I could hear him say, "He's gaining!" To which I would reply with picking up my speed just a little more.

After what felt like a half an hour of running I could see something in the distance, which looked like the skeleton I had seen earlier, but couldn't be, right?

An attack, exactly like the earlier skeleton's then launched itself towards me, to which I narrowly dodged. Somehow, I kept upright on my feet. For now.

A few more attack and I was only a few feet from him, to which he grinned at. This caught me off guard. Then my feet were lifted off of the ground, as my whole body was. I felt a scream rise in my throat, but I contained it. Any noise really hurt my throat, even with all the training I was getting in hopes of gaining my voice back. Or was getting.

Then I was dropped, landing on my legs awkwardly. I backed away from him. And right into the taller skeleton who was now behind me. I yelped a little bit and jumped away, now trapped between the two.

"Human! I, the terrible Papyrus, and my dork of a brother, Sans, have caught you!" I kind of flinched at how loud this skeleton's voice was.

Flowey trembled on my shoulder.

"Don't call me a dork, you--You tall stick!" Sans, as Papyrus had said, tried to insult him back.

Papyrus laughed before continuing, "We have captured you! Which means that you will be taken to the capitol! And then from there--Well, I don't actually know what happens there, but I know that you will die a slow and painful death!"

I felt tears well up in my eyes. Not only was this tall skeleton intimidating but he was also sending me death threats.

Both of them laughed.

"L-Leave us alone!" Flowey shouted, trying to gain his confidence.

Papyrus reached for him, "And what is this?"

I grabbed Flowey from my shoulder, glaring at him. Papyrus looked shocked.

"Oh, the might as well already be dead human has some confidence?" He leaned down to try and look me in the face.

I looked away. He probably expected me to reply to that.

"Sans, why is the human being silent?" He shouted at his brother.

"She's mute, bro," Sans told him.

I continued to look away.

"Mute? Mute?! Meaning that she can not speak?!"

Sans nodded.

Papyrus laughed, "She will have to learn to speak! Or else she will be very difficult to boss around until the Royal Guards come to pick her up for her death sentence!"

I felt my face pale and I turned to face him, "I don't plan on dying." I whispered, the taste of blood rising in my throat.

Both of the brothers turned to look at me, shocked.

"You can talk?!" The brothers and Flowey asked me.

"A little," I whispered, swallowing the blood that now rose in my throat.

Papyrus took a step towards me and then I felt myself being lifted onto his shoulder.

"Papyrus, what are you doing?" Sans asked, his voice a bit muffled from where I was.

"Taking the human away from here and in town, of course! No one will hear the great news if we continue to be out here!" He took off running dragging me with him.

I struggled to hold onto Flowey, who also struggled to hang on to me.

Sans walked after, teleporting every once and a while to keep up.

He sure was lazy.
