Chapter 7. Date-bait

"Okay, so you bit him... he's not going to turn is he?" I asked Scott in a panic as we shoved Liam into the back seat of my mom's car. He was unconscious due to Scott whacking him upside the head after he realized he had been bitten.

Scott swallowed thickly, "I'm not really sure... I don't know how deep I went and I've never exactly bitten anyone before."

"You bit me," I pointed out, sliding into the passenger seat and locking the door.

He shot me a look, "That's totally different... you're not a werewolf."

If only he knew. I am a werewolf, well a hybrid of an Admonere and a werewolf but still. I still am not quite sure on how exactly I should go about telling Stiles and Scott about this revelation. Then again, now certainly isn't the time to drop a bomb on them.

"Alright, so what's the game plan here? Where are we taking him?" I inquired as Scott began to speed out of the hospital parking lot. I had a spare set of keys to mom's car and unfortunately she was working tonight, so we just took the car and left her there. I'll drop it back off when I can, she should be okay.

My brother shrugged, "Our house? I don't know... I think he'll be okay there for now. We need to call Stiles and have him meet us there."

"I already texted him everything that happened and told him to tell his dad everything that he could. He'll meet us at the house when he's done." I informed him.

Scott smiled faintly, "You're getting really good with all of this."

"All of what? Your drama that inevitably sucks me in every single time? Yeah, I know, thanks." I chuckled awkwardly, because in a matter of hours it won't be just Scott who has some drama that sucks everyone in... I'll have my own.

I glanced at Liam in the backseat, apparently that's what his name was. According to Scott he's a freshman who was trying out for the lacrosse team. The reason why he was at the hospital? Yeah, that's because Scott and Stiles hurt him at tryouts, which is why Scott was already at the hospital. The poor kid didn't even know what would happened to him today when he got out of bed this morning. He looked like a baby sleeping in the backseat. I haven't been around a freshman in awhile, so it's a little weird seeing somebody so young.

Scott looked at me in a panic, "Why are you looking at him? Did he stop breathing?"

"No," I rushed out quickly, "he's fine... just sleeping. He's kinda cute, like a little werewolf baby."

"Kasey, don't say that. We don't know if he's even going to turn. He could die, remember?" Scott hissed.

I blinked once and glanced at Liam again. I forgot that if the bite doesn't take, the person could die. Scott could have just killed an innocent freshman. Oh man, well now I can understand why he is so stressed out about the situation.

"What's his name again? Liam, what?" I asked curiously, if I have to dispose of a dead body illegally I would like to know the damn kid's name.

Scott cleared his throat as he made the turn onto our street, "Dunbar. Liam Dunbar."

"Liam Dunbar?" I scoffed quietly, "More like Liam Donefor."

"What?" he asked in confusion.

I blinked rapidly, "Uh, nothing. Pull in the driveway, easier to get him inside that way."

"Yeah, I know." he replied as he whipped into the driveway, throwing the car into park. I watched as he yanked out the keys and tossed them at me.

"Unlock the door, I'll carry him in."I nodded and slipped out of the car, jogging up to the front door. I have no clue where my dad is, but his car isn't here so I hope he stays out for the night. The last thing we need is for our FBI Agent of a father to come home while we are hiding a teenager that we just kidnapped from the hospital in our house. As I pushed the door open Scott shoved past me into the house, heading straight up the stairs.

I had no idea where he was taking him upstairs, preferably not my room, but before I could follow after him I had to make sure the door was locked and the chain lock was in place. At least that way if my dad did happened to come home, we would hear him trying to break through the chain. I also ran to the back door and secured it as well, propping a chair up underneath the door handle just in case. The windows were already all locked, so I think that's about all I can do.

"Kasey! Come on!" Scott yelled down at me.

I rolled my eyes and dropped the keys on the table as I ran upstairs. I could see the light from his bedroom spilling out into the hallway, which meant he didn't put Liam in my room. Thank God. As I walked into the room, I noticed the bathroom door was open and the light was on, so I guess he was in there. When I popped into the bathroom, I saw Scott pacing around and Liam was awake. Only he was taped up. His wrist, his feet and his mouth were all bound by gray duct tape. His entire body was duct taped.

"What the hell did you do to him?" I shouted, how in the hell did he tape him up so fast?

Scott glanced at me with wide eyes, "I panicked."

"No shit," I breathed out as I ran my hand through my hair.

Scott's cell phone then started to loudly ring and we both jumped at the sound. I watched as he put the phone to his ear and nodded once before hanging up, "Stiles is here."

"Great, now we just need Lydia, Malia and Kira and we can have a kidnapping party. I'll go get some snacks." I muttered sarcastically.

Stiles arrived and as per usual, reminded Scott as to why he comes up with the plans. He also informed us that his dad knew nothing about Liam. Oh, and he kissed me on the cheek but that's not all that important.

Now, with us putting Stiles' plan into affect... we had Liam sitting in a chair, still duct taped. I felt bad for the poor kid, it's already bad enough that he could die but he's spending his final hours duct taped up in our house.

"Liam, we are going to take the tape off of your mouth. If you scream, it goes right back on. If you talk quietly, it stays off. Got it?" Stiles instructed.

Liam nodded once and Stiles ripped the tape off of his mouth. I winced as Liam let out a shriek of pain, Stiles made a quiet noise as well.

They had decided that I would do most of the talking, seeing as how Liam already has ill feelings towards them due to the whole Lacrosse injury thing.

"Okay, Liam, you've seen a lot of confusing and weird things tonight, and because of the confusing things that happened tonight more confusing things are going to happen. That make any sense?" I asked him.

He shook his head from side to side, "Not really."

"Good. That's--"

"I don't understand either." Scott interrupted me.

I shot him a look, "Maybe you should explain it to him then?"

"Tell me what?!" Liam demanded, rather loudly. I held the duct tape up and shook it in the air to get his attention, when he saw it his eyes widened and he pressed his lips together.

Scott took a step towards him, "Liam... What happened to you, what I did to you, which I had to do to save you, it's going to change you."

"Unless it kills you." Stiles added.

I shot him a look and he nodded his head up and down, "Shouldn't have said that."

"Nope, probably not the best idea dumbass." I sighed loudly.

Liam's eyes were wide as he glanced at the three of us, "What?"

"The chances of you dying are like, 50/50." I added, then realized that probably didn't make him feel any better about the situation.

Stiles gaped at me, "Yeah and that was so much more helpful, thanks Kasey."

"Excuse me, I was trying to fix the situation. You're the one that told him he could die." I stated as I folded my arms over my chest.

He opened his mouth to argue but stopped when Liam began whimpering, "Oh-uh.. oh.. is he crying?"

"Liam, it's okay. You're going to be alright. You're not going to die." Scott stated as he shot Stiles and myself a look of annoyance.

Stiles crouched down beside Scott, "Probably not."

"Stop it." Scott hissed.

Stiles nodded, "Okay, possibly not.

"Would you shut up and just help me untie him?" Scott asked.

I nodded to myself, "I'll go get him something to drink. I'll be right back."

The poor kid has been through enough tonight, the least I can do is get him something to drink. I felt bad for him. Scott, Lydia and myself all can relate to the whole being bitten without consent thing. We didn't ask for this... we didn't want this. And now Liam is in the same boat as we are.

In retrospect though, if the biggest problem we have this year is dealing with a new beta then it's a pretty easy year. The worst that could happen is Liam hates Scott and never speaks to him again, it's not like he can cry werewolf when he's one himself. Plus, the Argents were the only hunters in Beacon Hills... and they're gone, so it's not like there's a group of people out there waiting to kill us or anything.

I grabbed a bottle of Mountain Dew out of the fridge and headed back upstairs, this should make him feel slightly better. As I rounded the corner to the stairs, I heard pounding on the floor. I looked up the staircase and jumped out of the way as Stiles, Scott and Liam all fell down the stairs. I dropped the bottle of Mountain Dew as I watched them all rolling around on the floor and screaming. Liam pulled open the door and darted outside as Stiles and Scott grabbed a hold of each other.

"I got him!" Stiles cried out, but then quickly realized that it was Scott's foot.

I glanced at the two of them in shock, "Seriously. I leave the room for thirty seconds!"

"It wasn't my fault! Stiles' plan sucked too!" Scott argued as he shoved Stiles off of him.

Stiles nodded, "Yeah, I can admit that this wasn't one of my better plans."

"Okay, from now on I make the plans." I muttered as I snatched the Mountain Dew up off the floor and sulked back to the kitchen. I swear those two are idiots.

I was nervous for one of two reasons.

1.) Tonight was a Full Moon and Malia's restraints had about seen their last use, so they could possibly break tonight.

2.) It was my first Full Moon as an Admonowolf.

Now, normally I could be open with Scott and Stiles and tell them anything... but for some reason I was having a hard time trying to find the right way to tell them that I was now part werewolf. I mean, I guess it was inevitable that it would happen, due to the fact that since I've been an Admonere I've been told that most Admonere's take to the bite and become an extremely strong werewolf. I just didn't want to be one.

I didn't even have a choice in becoming an Admonere and now I've had the choice of becoming a werewolf taken from me as well. It's not fair to me in the slightest. I've been dealt an extremely shitty hand at life lately.

Stiles was pulling at the wrist restraints, testing to see if the straps would hold at all tonight. Malia was in the bathroom, taking a shower. I was extremely proud when we made that breakthrough. In Eichan House she took showers but she hated it, once she was free she was going to the lake in the Reserve and bathing there. Now, I have her taking showers here at Stiles' house and it's significant progress.

"Hopefully this will be the last time we have to use these," he mused as he laid them down on the bed, now focussing his full attention on me.

I shrugged, "Maybe? She's been doing okay lately, but still."

"I know." he nodded in agreement.

Stiles and I have spent minimal time alone together since "adopting" Malia. We are always helping her study, learning how to control her werecoyote-ness or how to act like a normal teenager. Stiles' took the studying shift last night while I was with Lydia and Parrish, when the Liam situation went down he had come straight from his house to mine.

I gestured to Malia's school books on the floor, "How'd it go without me last night?"

"Studying?" he chuckled, "yeah, not so great. She was complaining about how I'm a terrible teacher compared to you."

I smiled, "What can I say, I'm a genius."

"She also told me about the highlighter system you put her on." he said slowly, his tone changing drastically. It had morphed from teasing to adoration instantly. I had assumed he would find out about the system at some point, and I knew as soon as he did he would know that I used him for inspiration.

My fingers began to tug at the hem of my shirt awkwardly, "Yeah... I thought it would help her break down the subjects so she could study them easier."

Stiles moved his hand to my face and gently forced me to look at him, "You used my color system?"

I nodded silently, afraid to speak. I didn't know if he would be aggravated that I stole his idea or pleased that Malia was able to grasp the concept so easily. Stiles usually never gets aggravated with me, but lately the smallest of things have been setting him off... and I wasn't sure if this would be one of them.

"I love you so much, Kasey." he mumbled before closing the gap between us and pressing his lips to mine softly. My eyes snapped shut as my hands found their way around the base of his neck, pulling him closer to me. This was something that I could never get enough, having him close to me. His lips moved expertly around mine, putting me in a trance. I could feel myself getting lost in his touch, all of my worry and fear just melting off of me.

What else could I do other than kiss him back? I couldn't break this. I couldn't stop kissing him because Malia was bound to walk in here at any moment and we needed to prep for the full moon. I couldn't stop this to tell him that tonight, I might be making my first transition. I couldn't stop. When it came to kissing Stiles, I was never satisfied. There was not ever enough time to kiss him. There was not ever an amount of time kissing him that would satisfy me.

I was insatiable. I've grown to hate that word, the word that the Nogitsune used as he taunted me. I've also grown to realize that I am insatiable with everything. There is never enough of anything for me, especially when it came to Stiles. I've taken my time with him in the past for granted, but now that I've died and realized what it felt like to lose him... I can't find it within me to waste moments like these.

"Ahem,"

Stiles and I sprung apart as Malia walked into his room with a towel wrapped around her. She was watching us with a confused glance, "I don't get it."

"What? Get what?" Stiles asked as he adjusted his shirt that had ridden up from his spastic jump.

She blinked, "Why you two don't just mate. You guys are always doing that, but not mating. I just don't get it."

I grabbed the cuffs off of the bed to put them back in the bag, but froze as Sheriff Stilinski appeared in the doorway. Malia was standing in the middle of the room with a towel around her. I was holding leather cuffs. And Stiles was fixing his shirt. He glanced at the three of us in confusion.

Malia gestured to him, "See he is confused too. Just mate already, I don't mind."

Stiles muttered out an oh my God and I closed my eyes briefly. Sheriff Stilinski sighed, "I don't want to know."

"There's nothing to know," I called after him as I dropped the cuffs on the bed.

Stiles groaned, "Absolutely nothing to know!"

"I still don't get it," Malia huffed as she dropped her towel and walked out of the room to the bathroom to change.

"I'm not sharing my basement." Malia stated adamantly.

We were now at school, gathered around the busses as we held a Team Badass meeting. Due to death and people leaving the country, Team Badass now has a completely new group. I feel as if I should change the name due to the fact that Allison was in the original and now that she's no longer with us it's like an insult to her memory... I haven't discussed it with the group yet.

Team Badass now consists of Scott, Stiles, myself, Lydia, Kira and Malia. Derek didn't want to be a part of it so his grumpy ass can stay on the outskirts for all I care. I still need to address the whole issue about his teenage self proclaiming his love for me, but he hasn't been around for me to do it.

Lydia glanced at Malia in annoyance, "It's my basement. And my mother noticed how you tore it up last time."

"Alright, she's still learning." Stiles defended her, which was true. Malia was making some progress but it's not like we can expect her to be able to control her shifting in a moments notice. She was a coyote for like ten years out in the wild.

Scott rolled his eyes, "We're going to use the boathouse for Liam. It has support beams we can chain him to."

"But how do we get him out to the lake house if he doesn't trust us?" Kira asked in confusion.

I glanced around the circle, "Did nobody see him yet?"

"Oh no," Stiles stated as he glared at Scott, "we saw him. And Scott gave him a big spiel about being brothers and having a gift and it totally ticked him off."

Scott glared back at him, "Yeah well I seem to recall that he ran off after you called him a runt."

"Okay," Lydia snapped at the both of them, "shut up. Clearly, you two can't be left in charge of the Liam issue."

Stiles narrowed his eyes, "I say if it keeps him from murdering someone, we just chloroform the little bastard and throw him in the lake."

"I'm in," Malia raised her hand.

I shook my head from side to side, "Malia what have I said about taking Stiles' side?"

"Only do so if he's in agreement with you." she said quickly.

I nodded, "Good girl. So right now, we don't take his side. "

"We are not killing or kidnapping him." Scott said loudly, shutting everybody up.

I rose my hand, "Kasey has an idea that actually will work."

"Please share," Lydia stated.

"How about we lie to him? Tell him there's this cool party that the seniors are going to. What freshman boy doesn't want to go to a senior party?" I suggested.

Lydia smirked in satisfaction, "Now that's a plan."

"So who's going to ask him? Lydia?" Stiles inquired, glancing around the circle.

My newly formed best friend rolled her eyes, "No way. I'm done with Freshman boys."

"I say we have Kira do it? Who better to trick someone into going to a party, than a trickster herself?" I suggested, glancing at Kira in amusement.

Her eyes widened, "Who? Me? No way. Not me."

"Yes, you." Lydia stated, smirking yet again. "Do you know what they call a female fox?"

Kira shook her head from side to side nervously.

"A vixen."

I nodded, "Kira, take one for the team. Be the Date-bait."

"The what?" she mumbled nervously.

I sighed, "We've all done it. Well, actually now that I think about it I've actually been the only one that's done it. At least the one you're baiting isn't some psycho controlling a Kanima trying to kill people. Yeah. You totally got this."
