Eventually, Taehyung and Sana reached a mutual agreement. If he became her friend, she wouldn't try to escape or attempt to kill herself again. Although it was against the rules, he thought it'd at least be better than having to worry about her 24/7 in fear of failing this supposedly simple mission.

From then, he started to pay her frequent visits. As they got closer, she became attached to him, while he did his best to hide his growing affection for her. They told each other about their hopes and dreams. He knew how much she yearned to see the world, having only ever seen such stuffs through televisions. Thus, for her 20th birthday, he decided to bring her to the small built-in garden where she could see the flowers, feel the breeze and gaze at the clear blue sky. Although another rule was broken, he thought it was worth it, seeing how happy Sana looked right then with a lovely smile which lit up her whole face. It soon became their routine. Each week they would go there at least once, talked and enjoyed their time together.

One night, while walking around the garden with Taehyung, Sana found an injured raven lying unconscious on the dirt ground. Not wanting to leave the poor creature there, Sana rushed over and take it inside to treat its wound. Taehyung wanted to stop her but she insisted so he finally gave in. As she spent a lot of time taking care of the raven, he couldn't help but got slightly jealous because her attention was not solely on him anymore. That was until the raven healed fully and flew away. Sana was sad because she had grown fond of the bird, yet she understood that it'd better off be free. After all, she herself knew exactly how it's like to be caged and she wouldn't wish that upon anyone else. Seeing her kindness, Taehyung wondered why such a pure girl had to suffer from a baseless prediction. Thus, he vowed to do anything in his power to protect Sana and ensure that she wouldn't have to to feel lonely ever again.

The following weeks, Taehyung stayed by her side almost everyday. He told her about the outside world and did his best to satisfy her curiosity by answering whatever questions she had. Too bad, their time together came to a halt when he was required to leave the tower and return to God Realm for his annual report. Though Sana didn't want to part with him, they both got that it was his responsibility and there was no other way. Seeing the sorrow hidden behind her lovely eyes, Taehyung assured Sana that he'd come back soon then take her to the nearby town to celebrate her upcoming birthday. Greatly surprised by his promise, Sana hugged him and pecked his cheeks to show her gratitude.

Unbeknownst to Sana, her little action affected Taehyung much more than he'd like to let on.

While Taehyung was absent, he entrusted the task of watching over Sana and helping her if she needed something to Jimin - one of his closest friends back in the academy. As for himself, he tried to make his trip as quick as possible. Normally it'd take about one week of travelling but he shortened it to 3 days. After completing his mission, Taehyung immediately returned, hoping to see Sana's beautiful smile as she welcomed him back...

However, it didn't happen.

Instead, what greeted him was the sight of an unconscious Jimin.

...And Sana was nowhere to be found.
