The evening sun glares down at the decapitating house, crows cawing around the area as they fly above the tall and thick trees and into the sky, flying around every which way as they scream their unpleasant chirps. A squirrel jumps through one of the broken windows of the house, running into the vast woods behind Brian and Daniel.

"Come on, go in there," Brian says, pushing Daniel closer and closer to the old house.

"Stop it! Leave me alone!" Daniel says, attempting to get away.

"I suggest you go up to that house before I cut your finger off." He says, pulling out a small knife from his pocket and smirking, revealing a small portion of his unclean teeth.

Daniel gulps, slowly walking away from the bully and to the house. It's rumored that an old man lives there, and anyone who enters never returns.

"That's it, go on little boy," Brian taunts him, messing around with the knife.

Each step he takes to the house, his head tells him to leave and stay away, but the knife threat wills him to continue. Making it to the steps, he puts his foot on the first one, then the second one until he makes it to the top. Several spider webs become visible in the corners of the porch roof, but Daniel attempts to ignore them.

"Come inside," a voice whispers quietly, making Daniel take a step back.

"What the..." he says in a quiet voice, staring at the old door.

"Come on, Hillary, knock on the door!"

Taking a deep breath, Daniel slowly moves his hand to the door, knocking on it.

"Good job," the same voice whispers again, silence following it.

After several seconds, he turns around slowly, his eyes widening as he gasps, a look of horror etched across his cowering face. He stumbles back, his legs becoming weak with nausea at the sight before him.

Brian's dead body lay there, a note written in his own blood that reads:

Thank you for distracting him, Danny boy.
