Sunlight filters in through the large living room windows of apartment 28, gliding into the room and leaving the air sparkling with tiny dust particles.

You can tell it's morning from the way parts of Louis and Harry's skin are touched here and there by patches of sunlight, and from the way their soft breathing matches pace with the wisps of fog beginning to roll into the clear blue sky.

Inspite of having begun the night on two seperate sides of the couch, morning finds the two intertwined bodies, blending in so well with one another that it's impossible to tell which limb belongs to whom.

Harry wakes up first, trying to shade his eyes from the sun with his right hand but finding it pressed under Louis' back. He uses his other hand, extending it protectively over his eyes, blinking a few times slowly before trying to sit up, carefully untangling his body from Louis'.

He looks at Louis' peaceful sleeping form for a while, wondering how this soft, innocent looking creature that lay before him could be the same one that sasses people left and right during the course of the day.

Harry looks at his watch. 9 am. That leaves him with 2 hours before work.He stretches and walks upto the kitchen after having done his morning chores such as brushing etc.

He picks out the instant-make coffee that they purchased yesterday and quickly whips up two cups of coffee. He gulps his coffee down immediately, finally feeling awake as the caffeine begins to kick in.

He walks over to Louis and prods him gently, trying to wake him up.  Louis mumbles something incoherent and rolls over to the other side grunting.

Harry laughs and leaves him to sleep,placing the coffee on the floor near the couch and deciding to shower in the meanwhile..

Still half asleep, Louis wonders what that delicious smell is that has made his way into his nose. He turns over and squints, trying to make out what it was but with no success. When he could not handle the curiosity any longer, he sat up grudgingly, cursing loudly about how 'morning sucked more than anything else in the world'

Coffee. The smell was coffee.  But who placed the cup here? He wondered sleepily. As if on cue, he heard Harry singing loudly in the shower and smiled. He had completely forgotten that he no longer lived alone. Years of living alone, spending nights in strange women's beds and having to rush home in the morning had made Louis forget what it was like to be looked after. He lifted the coffee cup up, smiling to himself. It was a small gesture on Harry's part, but it meant the world to Louis. It made him feel cared for and gratitude began flowing from his heart.

He walked up to the bathroom meaning to thank Harry just as the door opened and Harry stepped out with only a towel wrapped around his waist, his lean chest dotted with water droplets, drops hanging from his hair and eyelashes and Louis could not help but stare, enraptured, and for the first time in his life, at a loss for words..

"Goodmorning Sunshine" said Harry chirpily.

"Morning" Louis mumbled, becoming aware that he had been staring and trying to act casual.

"So do you just like to hover outside bathrooms while people are inside or was there any specific reason for which you were standing here? " Harry asked with a smirk.

Louis looked extremely flustered. "I just wanted to say thanks... for you know, the coffee or whatever.. because I'm not used to people doing stuff like that for me, I guess.. it's been years since someone made me a cup of coffee in the morning and I don't know I'm just grateful to you for doing it I guess.. " he said rambling.

"You don't have to thank me lou, if it means so much to you,I'll do every morning" Harry smiled, showing his dimples and walking towards his suitcase to take out his clothes for the day leaving Louis standing there, smiling as bright as sunshine itself..
