They sat there like that for a while, Louis holding Harry in a tight embrace, Harry sobbing softly into Louis' soft jumper, Louis trying to hold back his own tears because he wanted to stay strong for Harry.

After a while, they pulled apart from each other but Louis continued to rub Harry's back in soothing circles, trying to calm him down.

"Why did he call, Harry?" Louis asked shakily. 

"H-he wants to meet me once, he asked for a last chance to explain." Harry said, sounding unsure..

At this Louis stood up, his lips pressed in a thin line and his expression was stormy.

"You surely aren't considering it,are you!? Harry this is the guy who cheated on you, he broke your heart, he's made you cry! How could you even think of giving him another chance!?" Louis yelled, his voice echoing around the room, fists balled up in anger.

"I don't know okay? I just need to think about it."

"Harry are you even listening to yourself right now?! He's the reason you've been having nightmares! When you cry because of him in your sleep who the fuck do you think holds you close and wipes your tears!? I do okay?! I might not have known why you cried in your sleep earlier but I sure as fuck do know now and over my dead body will you go and meet him."

"Louis calm down please. It's not such a big deal okay? He isn't inviting me to an orgy he just wants to talk. What's the harm? I need closure too. I need to know why he did what he did." Harry said softly.

"Fine. Do what you fucking want to do. See if I care." Louis said storming into his room and banging the door shut.

That night, Harry lay in bed, replaying the phone call over and over in his head, recalling the urgent, desperate tone to Lucas' voice. Everyone deserved a chance to explain. Lucas was no exception.

As he lay there, he waited for Louis to come to bed but Louis never came. Harry walked over to Louis room and tried to open the door but it was locked shut.

Sadly, he lay down in his bed and closed his eyes.

The nightmares were back, stronger and more terrifying than ever. Harry squirmed and thrashed in bed as Lucas' brown eyes and the unfamiliar grey eyes of the guy he cheated on Harry with, kept appearing in his mind. Soon the tears were falling, as he cried softly in his sleep.

The door was pushed open tentatively and Louis walked in, a jolt of guilt hitting him right in the heart when he saw Harry lying there.

He wiped off Harry's sweaty forehead with a wet cloth and got under the covers and  put his arms around Harry's chest, curling his body around Harry's.

The frown lines on Harry's face slowly smoothed out and disappeared and his face became calm as he gave a little sigh of relief...

The next morning,  the phone rang again and Harry was the one answered it.

"Hello Lucas."

"Harry." he began nervously.

"I'll do it. I'll give you a chance to explain "

"You'll do it!? You don't know how relieved I am Harry, I never expected it, it's more than I deserve-"

"It is more than what you deserve. I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing this for myself."

"Oh okay then..um so I'll meet you at 8 at The Chinese Dragon for diner?" Lucas said with a deflated tone.

"Okay. See you later Lucas."

Harry turned around and saw Louis standing there practically fuming.

"Louis please listen to me-"

"You've made your decision Harry.  It's you choice after all. I'ts my fault. I'm sorry for caring about you."

"Louis, no, it's not like that. I'm meeting him only for closure okay? I just need to know why he did what he did. I need to know what went wrong. It's haunted me for such a long time now and I'm finally getting an opportunity to understand what happened so I'm not going to let it go."

Louis didn't say anything but simply walked into the shower, his mind cluttered with a variety of emotions that even he couldn't identify properly...
