52-Date
"Harrybo?"
"Yeah Lou?" Harry said from where he was lying on the sofa with his head on Louis' lap.
They were spending the morning at home, both of them having taken the day off.
"Do you realise it's been over 2 weeks since I officially asked you to be my boyfriend?" Louis asked, idly running his fingers through Harry's curls
"Is it already? Time does fly, doesn't it?" Harry closed his eyes, lids drooping because of Louis' soft touch and of how cozy he was feeling.
"We haven't gone on an official date yet."
"Well yeah but we've been caught up in work Lou, besides every moment I spend with you is special.. like this one, we're literally sitting here doing nothing and even then, there's no place in the entire world I'd rather be."
"No Haz, you're like this fluffy kitten that deserves all the good in the world, I know what a sappy romantic you are at heart, so you know what? We're going on a date. This afternoon."
Harry's eyes lit up and his face broke into a dimpled grin.
Louis poked his dimple with his finger and then bent down, capturing his lips in a soft kiss.
After a lot of pestering and puppy faces, Louis finally gave in and told Harry where he was taking him.
"We're going to this small beach I found on the outskirts of town, I've also rented a tent so we can camp out tonight. Does that sound okay?" Louis asked, worried that Harry might not like it.
"It sounds absolutely incredible Lou" Harry said as he jumped onto Louis, tackling him onto the ground and pressing kisses onto his face and neck.

"Harry it's only a one night trip, you don't need to pack everything we have in the house, you know? I've got the necessary stuff all packed in my bag"
"I'm not taking any risks."
An hour later, Louis had finally managed to convince Harry to stop packing. Harry had been frantically flying around the house, neatly arranging supplies like canned food and bedsheets into a large duffle bag.
"Enough Harry, no more packing." Louis zipped the bag shut and ushered Harry through the front door, locking it behind him.
He held out his hand and Harry took it with a shy smile while the pair headed down the stairs together.
On the way downstairs they ran into Liam who immediately noticed their interlinked hands and beamed at them.
"Ah so I was right." He said grinning.
"Yes, yes you were, you knew before we could even realise it ourselves." Louis replied with a smile and pulled Harry closer.
"I'm assuming I must have made it pretty obvious with my not-so-subtle looks." Harry said laughing.
"That you did, young Harry. Anyway, I have to get going, see you guys soon, enjoy your evening out."
They exchanged goodbyes, Liam went inside the building while Louis and Harry walked out, still hand in hand. Parked near the end of the road was a small, rustic looking van.
"I rented it for us" Louis said when he noticed Harry's questioning gaze.
"Louis..? How long exactly have you been planning this for?"
"Since the day we confessed... I um wanted it to be perfect." Louis admitted a small blush creeping into his face.
Harry didn't reply, he let the slow kiss he gave Louis do all the talking.
They got into the car, talking about anything and everything throughout the one hour drive. Harry would get excited and awestruck when he saw the scenic views, pointing them out to Louis eagerly but Louis only had eyes for Harry.
That was the best thing about being with Harry, it was so easy, it felt so natural, the conversation always flowed freely, it was like he didn't even have to try to have a good time because with Harry, it was always a good, better than good in fact.
The beach was small and secluded and they got out of the car, rushing towards the beach while holding each other's hands.
Life had never been better.
They quickly stripped down to their swimming trunks and walked into the water, splashing each other and laughing loudly, with not a care in the world.
The rest of the evening flew past amidst sandy toes and salty kisses and before they knew it, the sun was beginning to set.
Peace. Serenity. Contentment. Their hearts were overwhelmed with such feelings as they stood by the shore, watching the gradual ebb and flow of the waves.
They walked back to the shore and sat on a blanket that they placed on the sand, Louis' head on Harry's lap and together, they watched the sky slowly transcend from a shade clear blue to brilliant vermillion and then purplish-pink followed finally by the dark of the night which brought out the shining and twinkling stars in the sky.
