 *** Jessy’s P.O.V ***

Suddenly I saw Katherine aka the new trouble girl, yelling something at me.I ignored taking off my headphones to hear her. But then I found her running towards me frantically. Before I could figure out anything, she mumbled "OH SHIT!" and pushed me aside but she herself got hit by a car. I fell with a loud thud. For 2 sec my mind stopped working. I immediately took off my headphones. Then I realized she risked her life to save me…

Also, that moment she was actually shouting my name to warn me, but I didn’t give a damn. I wasn’t that much hurt so I stood up as fast as I could to witness her condition.

I wanted to beat the life out of the irresponsible driver who did the accident and also left the scene as if nothing happened; but I did not have the time to think further as she was bleeding profusely while lying unconsciously on the ground. People were gathered there to help her. I hurriedly call 911 for ambulance and tried to wake Kate up. Soon the ambulance came and we were on our way to the hospital and I texted Mike about the whole situation.

As soon as we reached the hospital, which was ran by Mike’s dad the doctors took charge of the whole situation and I was little relieved. As I was watching the doctors treating Kate from the window of the I.C.U all I could think of how rude I was to her the whole day. She came to thank me but I shooed her like some dirty creature. I really felt guilty for treating her badly on her first day of school. But still she saved me and risked her own life. She is really an unique person cause who cares for others so much in today’s world. My thoughts were abruptly interrupted by Mike…

“Oh God! Jess, are you ok? Where is Kate?” He questioned in a worried tone.

I could not reply anything so I just hugged him tightly and burst into tears. I felt so relaxed in his arms. It felt like my protective place, where no harm can touch me.

“Hey cupcake, its okay…stop crying, I m here so I'll set everything right…trust Me.” he said with a smile while wiping my tears.

As I was about to say something my head gave a quick spin and I felt dizzy. Mike hold me and called the doc.

According to the doc I was still in trauma and required some rest. Therefore, Mike forced me to go home while I kept persisting to stay back.

“I want to be here when Kate wakes up. I want to apologize for my behavior. Mike, try to understand.” I pleaded.

“No you are going home and that’s final….have not you heard the doc? And it would take time for Kate to regain her senses.” He reassured me.

“You go home while I stay back and will call you as soon as she wakes up….Okay?” he added.

“Okay. Fine mommy...” I replied unwillingly. I am so lucky that I have a bestfriend like him.

While returning home, I got a voice mail from Zac - “Sorry sunshine, I can’t come home by tomorrow. It will take more time. But I’ll try my best to meet you as soon as possible.”

“What? He has to come or he will be punished by me!!” I thought to myself with disappointment. I didn’t go to my house even though I could, but it would make mom and dad get worried by seeing me in this state. So I went to my dorm and took a bath to freshen up myself.

*** Kate’s P.O.V ****

As I opened my eyes I saw hospital equipments around me rather than my room’s stuff. Then the flashes of the accident struck my mind. Suddenly I had a slight stringing feeling in my head and I groaned in pain.

“Hey, are u okay?” I heard the same cute voice while he put a hand over my shoulder.

“Yah I’m fine…it hurts a bit.” I replied aiming to my wound while having butterflies in my stomach.

“It will be alright with time…relax!” he said with a smile.

“So u saved me, right?” I asked inquisitively.

“Actually….” He stopped as the doctor came.

“How are you feeling my dear?” the doctor asked in a concerned tone.

“I’m fine just having a little pain” I replied.

“By the way I need to inform your family Ms. Watson.” The doc stated.

“Nooo…don’t! I don’t want them to be worried.” I replied hurriedly.

“Okay then…..stay relaxed.”

“By the way Mr. Kendrick, how do you know her?” The doc asked Michael eyeing at me.

“We are friends.” Michael replied with a genuine smile.

The word “friend” brought a smile over my face and somewhat brought pleasure to my heart. But I was a bit confused, how the doc knew his name and asked him about me. I mean, usually they ask the patient. “How does he know you?” I asked Michael after the doctor left.

“Well….my dad is the manager of this hospital. That’s why he just ensured that we know each other.” He replied.

I became more amazed that he took me to his dad’s hospital so that they could take better care of me. I mean isn’t that sweet?

Later, he was with me the whole night, taking care of me like a baby, fulfilling all my tantrums. I disliked hospital food so he brought me my favorite Chinese food. We even watched my favorite movie which even was his favorite too…then we chatted up to 2 a.m. trying to know each other even more until the nurse came and threatened me to give an injection if I didn’t sleep.

As the first rays of the sun touched my face through the curtains, I opened my eyes and saw Michael sleeping on the couch. He seemed so innocent while sleeping that I could not help but smile. I slowly stepped out of my bed, moving towards the washroom. As I came out of the toilet, I felt dizzy and was about to crash on the floor when Michael caught me in bridal style. I could not stop blushing. Then I was about to say something when I noticed Jessica standing in front of the door. Michael lifted me on the bed. He straightened and requested her to come inside:

“Jess, come in and meet your savior...”

“Actually you are her savior as well, cause you are the one who brought Kate to the hospital.” He added.

Wait! What?? So Jessica brought me here? And I thought Michael did but it did not make any difference as he was the one who took such good care of me and not even for once made me think that I was in the hospital. Even I felt much happier that Jess brought me here as it showed that she cared.

**** Jessy’s P.O.V ****

As I entered Kate’s room, my heart flinched by witnessing the sight in front of me. Michael was holding Kate in his arms and slowly placed her on the bed. What was he doing here so early?  Was he with her the whole night? More importantly, why was he carrying her? So many questions were running through my mind. But before I could say anything Michael interrupted:

“Jess, come in and meet your savior...”

“Actually you are her savior as well, cause you are the one who brought her to the hospital”. He added.

“Oh Mike! Don’t give me any credit, give it to her - she is the one who risked her life for me.” I replied to Mike forgetting everything what I have just seen and thought.

Before Kate could say someting, I started “I’m really sorry Kate. I shouldn’t have behaved so rudely with you. Even you came to thank me but I ignored it but still you saved my life so now I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.” I forwarded my hand to Kate in order to shake hands and asked her “So friend or foe?”

“Off course Friends!” Kate’s eyes gleamed and she replied with a big smile and shook hands with me. Mike clapped and cheered. “So finally the foes turned friends. No more quarrels. Yeah!” he added.
