"Oppa-- I mean---Gin---I finish what you asked for." the young female stated, handing him in the file. She felt a glare from the woman standing near his side.

The chair turned around. A young man sitting there, looking at her. "Good job Sherry. You can back to your research now." His tone was as cold as usual. The girl just nodded and left. 

Before she entered her lab, she saw a familiar figure, struggling to walk towards her. Her eyes widened. 

"Toru--- I mean Bourbon, what happened?" she stated. He winced in pain. She hurriedly guide him to the couch in her lab and got out her medical kits. 

She closed and locked the door so no one would interrupt them. 

"What happened?" She asked again, trying to apply the medicine to his wounds. 

"Got stabbed, obviously." He stated. She rolled her eyes and pushed in stronger, causing him to yell. 

"Gentle please," he demanded. She just ignored it and continued to apply force. He could not take it any longer and apologize. 

"Sorry Sorry. I was careless a bit so I stabbed." He stated, looking at her with his pleading eyes. She tried not to blush and returned to what she was doing. 

"And how many times I said you can call me Toru, not Bourbon." he reminded her. She finished bandaging for him and looked back with a sigh. 

"You know our organization rules. Codename only," she stated in a serious tone. 

"But your name is very pretty. Ai-ah." Toru said in a low husky voice. She took a deep breath in before turning around and teasing him back. 

"Well Toru-oppa, if you keep calling me Ai, I might actually go ask Gin to change my codename to that," she said. He squinted his eyebrow. 

"Nevermind," he stated. 

"Why not?" She pressed on. Knowing that she was controlling the game. 

"Then everyone will get to call you Ai-ah. I lose such honors," he stated, walking closer to her. She held in her breath as their distance was now an inch apart. He smirked seeing her reactions. Who's in control now huh? He challenged her. 

I guess I should this ultimate move. Ai stated in her mind. She clearly didn't want to lose. She looked up at Toru and began to, 

"Toru-oppa, why are you being so irresponsible right now? Shouldn't you go and report to the others? Huh- Huh" (in a cute, babyish voice) 

Toru was caught off guard by Ai's aegyo and tried to calm himself down. 

"I--guess you'r--e right. I shall go now," he stated, headed towards the door. She stuck out her tongue. 

"Watch your tongue, Sherry-ah." He said micheviously and left. She blushed at the words and slapped her cheeks to calm herself down. 

She turned back to her computer and continued her research. Focus, Ai. Focus.

At the Paju's police station...

"Yah, Rye! Come over here." the head of the station waved towards a man in uniform. 

"Yes, Wonhee?" Rye answered. He approached the head and noticed there was a woman standing next to him. 

"This is Senior Investigator Yeji Oh. She will be your new partner as well as 'sunbae'." Wonhee told him. 

Rye nodded at her and introduced himself, "It's an honor to work with you Investigator Oh. My name is Rye Kim." 

He extended his hand out and Yeji took it. 

"I'll look forward to working with you too, Officer Kim." She smiled. 

"Well, now you two had officially met. I'll leave the new case to you both." with that Wonhee went back to his offices. 

"Well, Officer Kim, your table is right next to mine. And from now on, you be working as an investigator alongside me" Yeji explained to him. Rye nodded. 

"I will try my best," he replied. 

"I will introduce you to our team later. But for now, let's head out to the scene, shall we?" she asked. He nodded and they both got in the car. 

"What is the case about if I may ask?" Rye turned to Yeji. 

"We received a report that the Sunma Gang had been making a move," Yeji told him. 

"Sunma Gang? Isn't it the big organization that our police had been tracking since there's new of them operating here in Paju?" Rye asked her. She nodded. 

"Their movement has been quite hard to track. But somehow, yesterday, a witness spotted a fight occurring between 2 groups. One of them could be the Sunma." she informed him. He nodded. 

"Was there anybody?" he asked her. 

"Well, the witness said they did hear the gunshot but were not sure if there were anyone killed," Yeji answered. 

"Oh, we're here," Yeji stated as she parked the car. Rye tried to process all the information that he just received and head down with Yeji. 

*knock knock*

The door opened and revealed it was a young man in his 20s, almost 30s. 

"Hi," he stated, looking at them cautiously. 

"Hi. Are you Mr. Jung?" Yeji asked. The man nodded, "That's me. And you guys are?" 

"I am Investagor Yeji Oh and this is my colleague, Rye Kim. We are here to ask you more questions about the incident that you reported." She explained. 

Mr. Jung nodded and let them in. They sat down on the couch as he brought some water for them. 

"Kamsamida." they both said. 

"So Mr. Jung, could you tell us again what happened last night?" Yeji asked as Rye pulled out his notebook. 

"Sure thing." Mr. Jung replied, "I was getting back from a party with my group of friends until I heard a loud noise in the alley." Yeji nodded and Rye started noting things down. 

"Do you remember which street was it?" Yeji asked. 

"Umm...It was just down 2 blocks from here, right across from a convenience store," he answered. Yeji gestured Rye to write that down, which he did. 

"You can continue," she said. Mr. Jung nodded and went back to his story. 

"I was curious so I walked closer to see what happened. And then I see a man got pushed to the wall with two other guys surrounding him. I wanted to leave as soon as I saw that, but they were approaching my directions so I hid in a nearby corner." Mr.Jung stated. 

"Do you by chance remembered their face?" Rye asked. Mr.Jung squinted his eyebrow. 

"I only remembered the person who got stabbed, since he was 'saving' an alley dog from getting stepped on." Mr.Jung replied. 

"Could you describe him so we can do a sketch of him?" Yeji quickly asked. Mr.Jung replied, "I already did when I was found fainted in the alley with the other police." 

Yeji quickly called back to the station and asked for the sketch. Rye turned back to Mr.Jung and asked him to continue. 

"So, they said something about, 'have the guts to steal some of their packages?'. I didn't get by what they mean by that, but when the man saw an opening he was about to run." Mr.Jung retold the story. 

"But he was not lucky enough because the guy, that was going to be stabbed later, tripped him and pushed him back the wall. The other guy began punching the man." Mr. Jung stated. 

Rye quickly noted everything down. 

"I remember the guy getting a phone call so stopped punching the man. At that moment, the man pushed the 'stabbed guy' and ran out, grabbing a piece of shattered glass that was on the ground to defend himself." Mr.Jung recalled. 

"However, as he was backing out, a dog ran out and he was about to stab that dog until the 'stabbed guy' came to take the hit." Mr.Jung explained. 

Rye nodded. "Afterward, I see the guy who was making the call, took out a gun, and shoot the man. It was a several shot. But I was too scared, so accidentally bumped into something." Mr.Jung explained. 

"I saw the guy with a gun walking towards my hiding spot, so I tried to cover my mouth. I think that was when I began to lose my consciousness." Mr. Jung stated. 

"But I did hear the stabbed guy yelped, so the 'gun' guy stopped coming over." Mr.Jung added. 

Rye nodded, "Thank you for your cooperation Mr.Jung" closing his notebooks. 

"It's no problem. I hope my testimony helped in some way." Mr. Jung said. They both turned to Yeji, who was still on the phone, not looking very good. 

"Okay thank you. Send me the picture." she ended the call and turned back them. 

"Is everything okay?" Rye asked in concern, she just nodded. 

"Are we good?" She asked Rye. Rye nodded, "I got down everything." 

Yeji nodded and then turned to Mr.Jung, "Thank you for your cooperation." 

"It's no big deal." Mr.Jung said, they bowed and left. 

"So where are we going now?" Rye asked.  

"We are going to this address right here." Yeji showed him. Rye looked at her phone and looked back at her. 

"Shouldn't we head to the scene instead?" he asked.

"Nope. We head to one of the gang members." Yeji stated. With that, she turned on the engine and they sped away.
