"What do you mean the gang member house?" Rye asked Yeji when they were on the way. But she didn't respond. Observing her expressions, he believed it best not to further question her.

Soon they stopped at an apartment. Yeji bolted out of the car and marched towards a unit. Rye followed behind. Yeji rang the doorbell but no one answered.

She proceeds to slam hard on the door. "Get out! I know you're in there Rei." She shouted. Rye could see the neighbors looking at them. He immediately show out his police badge and they just nodded and looked away.

After many knocks, still no answer. Yeji was about to kick down the door but Rye stopped her.

"Hey. Hey, calm down. This is still a civilian house. Besides, you cannot enter with a warrant." Rye reminded her. Yeji huffed and walked back to the car.

But Rye grabbed her wrist, she was a bit surprised at the touch and looked up at him.

"What?" She asked, clearly not in the mood to talk.

"I might not know why you are acting like this, but as your partner for this case, I deserved some sort of explanations," Rye stated. His tone sounded serious to the point it caught her off guard.

"I called back to the station and they sent me the information of the suspect from the sketch." She stated. Rye eyed her carefully as she was in deep thought once again.

"And?" he asked her.

"It turned out the suspect is one of our police officers, who had left the force," Yeji explained. Rye nodded.

"I know you are upset at the road that the police officer headed after leaving the force, but you did not have to---" Rye told her, but she added in.

"That police officer is my brother." She stated. And with that, she yanked herself from Rye's hold and walked to the car.

Rye paused for a while, trying to process the information. He now understand why she was so mad. When he heard the car engine, he immediately snapped out of his thought and got back to his passenger seat.

And they headed to the scene. On their way, it was an awkward ride as the atmosphere was kind of tense between them. Rye felt sort of guilty for forcing Yeji to reveal to him something she might try to hide. While Yeji felt insecure as she thought Rye might look at her differently now, seeing her unprofessional side.

Before they reached their destination, Yeji's phone rung. She was about to answer but Rye helped her instead.

"Let me take. You can focus on the road." he told her. She nodded and muttered a small thanks.

"Yeoboseyo." Rye asked.

"Investigator Oh, we just received a report that a body was found in the tunnel near Aeyong-gil. Our team is heading there, Head Yoo want to be there as well." the voice informed them.

"Hi. I'm Investigator Kim, Investigator Oh is driving the car right now and we will head to Aeyong-gil's tunnel you said." Rye repeated it out loud and Yeji immediately turned the car around.

"Oh Nice to meet you, Investigator Kim. I'm Min Jeon. You can call me Min. I will see you both at the scene then." Min stated and hung up.

"Min Jeon?" Rye tilted his head and repeated the name. Somehow he had an ominous feeling hearing the name.

"He is one of our best shooters in the police force," Yeji told him. Rye nodded, surprised that she was willing to talk to him now.

"That's nice to know," Rye commented. Yeji let out a small smile, "HIs appearance might not show it though when you meet him." Rye looked confused but just let it go.

"By the way, I want to apologize. You were right, I should have informed you everything since we are partner after all. I should have not let my emotion riled up." Yeji told him, her eyes still on the road.

Rye, once again, was caught off guard by the sudden apology, "No I should say sorry. If I have a brother who went astray, I would not want anyone to know it. I'm sorry." He said.

She looked at him surprised but somewhat felt relief that he understood her feelings. "So do you have any siblings?" She asked.

Silence.

"Did I ask something wrong?" She turned to him seeing no reply. "If you don't want to ---"

"Aniya," he told her. He sighed and began telling her, "I do have one sister."

"Oh really? How old is she?" Yeji asked.

"I guess...23 or 24. No. 25," he stated. Yeji laughed, "You're her brother yet you don't even remember her age? You should be careful though. The young lady hates when their brother gets their age wrong."

Rye chuckled back but once again return to his silent state.

"So do you live together?" Yeji asked him.

"Huh?" he asked back.

Yeji glanced over, "I mean do you and your sister live together?"

"Oh." Rye said. He looked out the window and stated, "I hope one day we can."

"Hmm?" Yeji asked him. But before she could continue her question, they had arrived.

There were police cars parked around and line were drawn.

"Investigator Oh, over here!" a man with glasses waved at them. Rye assumed that must be Jeon Min since Yeji did say that his appearance might look different from what people would expect a sniper to be.

"And you must be Investigator Kim. My name is Jeon Min, we talked through the phone earlier." Min stated, extending out his hand. Rye gladly took it.

"Nice to meet you. My name is Rye Kim. You can call me Rye." Rye introduced himself.

"Rye? Are you foreign?" Min asked.

"Nope. But I did spend a few years in America." Rye explained. Min nodded.

Yeji interrupted them by asking, "What the situation?"

Min and Rye quickly turned to her.

"Oh. So a group of teenagers was bicycling and they went in here and found the body. They immediately contacted the police afterward. Daniel and Jisung are interrogating them over there. And Tae is already walking around the area to see if there's anything suspicious." Min reported.

Yeji nodded. "Have we identified the victim?" Rye asked Min.

"The victim's name is Ha Jungwoo. He is 38 years old. Occupation is...drug dealer." Min answered.

Drug Dealers? Could it be--- Rye turned to Yeji as she was observing the body.

"Investigator Oh, do you think he might be the one that got attacked in the alley?" Rye stated.

"the alley?" Min asked him and Yeji looked up.

Rye nodded, "Earlier in Mr.Jung's testimony, he did say that the guys talked about something 'the guts to steal their package'." Yeji nodded seeing where Rye was going.

"That could be possible," Yeji said.

"You mean the case where the involvement of Sunma Gang is included," Min asked. Rye nodded.

"Looking at his injuries, it seemed like he was shot. Mr.Jung did tell us that he heard and saw the man being shot. But we never found the body in the alley." Rye added.

"I agree with your reasonings," Yeji stated. She turned to Min, "Have the forensics arrived yet?" Min nodded and pointed at the car.

"Great, I need to ask you to check something for me," Yeji told Min.

"What is it?" Min asked.

"Send a patrol car to park near this apartment for me. Once they see this person" Yeji said, handing him the sketch that was sent to her, "Immediately bring him back to the station. He might be one of the suspects."

Min nodded, he took hold of the picture and went to call the station.

"Investigator Kim, let's go talk to the witness as well," Yeji told Rye. Rye nodded and walked with her.

At a certain place...

A knock on the door was heard.

"Come in." Ai stated.

"Are you done?" the voice asked. Ai still looks at the screen.

"Almost. Just a few more notes I have to punch in to prepare for tomorrow's experiment." She informed the man.

The man nodded and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Let's go then." he told her, "You can finish it up tomorrow. I can move the time for you too,"

"It's not necessary. Besides, I do not feel right to neglect my duty like this. The other people might gossip about it." Ai told him.

"They won't dare. With me here." the man told her.

"I do not always want to rely on you." She said and turned around. "Oppa."
