"I heard that Bourbon paid a visit earlier." the man told Ai, who was looking back at her computer. She paused typing on her keyboard and tried to decipher what did her brother meant by that. 

"More like I help him out since he was injured." Ai simply explained and continued typing. 

"Well...do you want to know why he was injured on such a simple mission?" the man asked, trying to read her expression. But Ai was stone cold as always. In front of him, for the least. 

"Sure, intrigue me then..." she said, turning and looking at him straight in the eyes. She was clearly annoyed that he was using Bourbon to get her attention or made her stop working. 

The man eyed her before giving up and sighing. 

"Sorry. Sorry. You can get back to work then," he huffed. Ai observed him and started to feel guilty. 

"Wait." She told him as he was exiting. 

"Yes?" he asked. 

"Let's go." 

His expression lightens up, "Are you sure?" 

She gave him a small smile, "I could finish it tonight, there's not that much left." 

"Great! Let's go!" He said, pulling her arm. 

"Slow down, oppa!" She told him. 

Before they could exit, the women earlier, who was in office with the man, walked toward them. 

"Heading home you two?" she asked. 

"Is there something wrong, Vermouth?" the man asked her. 

"Well...there something urgent that just came up." she reported, glancing at Ai before looking at the man, "but I guess...you would prefer to talk about it later." 

Ai could detect the bitterness within the last few words of Vermouth but decided to not push it further. She knew why Vermouth disliked her but she clearly didn't care less. 

The man lit up his cigarette and took a quick puff. 

"You have 2 minutes." he simply told her. 

"Clearly yesterday's mission was a disaster. The police are on to us. They already guarding at Bourbon's house." 

Ai eye-widened at the information. Is Bourbon alright? That was all she had in mind. The man clicked his tongue but when he saw Ai's worried expression he couldn't help but grimace. 

On the other hand, Vermouth just let out a smirk. 

"No worries, Sherry-chan! I already set up a safe house for Bourbon, so he currently resides there until further notice from us. But of course, you would still see him tomorrow at he will be presented at the experiment" Vermouth informed Ai. 

"Well...that's good to know." was all Ai said, she wasn't going let Vermouth take advantage of the situation. 

"And Gin, what should we do about the package?" Vermouth asked. Gin glared at her. 

"You already know what to do." and with that, he pulled Ai to the car and sped away. 

Vermouth clenched her fist, seeing the sight. She hoped she had triggered Gin for at least a bit longer so he would pay attention to her. 

Just you wait, Sherry. I will not let Gin be weaker. He is our hope right now and you shall not be a barrier to this. 

She walked off and pressed a message to her phone. 

To: Vodka

Find a way to destroy that package. 

Vermouth.

Rye and Yeji walked toward the group of 5 boys where 2 men were interrogating them. 

"Are you sure there was no one here?" 

"Yes, we are certain. We were here the entire after informing the police." one boy answered.

The two nodded. 

"Jisung, Daniel!" a voice called out to them. It was none other than Tae who was scanning around. 

"Yes?" Jisung answered. Tae signaled them to look to their side. 

"Investigator Oh!" they both called. Yeji nodded.

"And you must be our new team member," Daniel stated, extending his hand out. 

"My name is Daniel Choi, nice to meet you." Rye gladly took it. 

"Rye Kim. Good to see you too." 

Jisung extended his hand out and introduced, "and I'm Jisung Choi. And the guy over there, who just called out to us is Tae." Jisung pointed. 

Rye nodded, looking over at Tae who are waving. 

"Nice to meet you!" Rye waved back. 

"Alright, what do we have here?" Yeji asked them. 

"This is the 5 discoverers of the corpse. They are called the 5urpise." Daniel explained. 

The 5 boys just slightly nodded and greeted the two. Yeji and Rye did the same. 

"So how did they get here?" Rye asked. 

"They said they were biking around the area as always," Jisung answered. 

"We always bike around here every morning," one of the boys explained, "because we all live near here And our school is just like 4-5 blocks down the intersection." 

Rye nodded. 

"Did you notice any suspicious figure walking near here this morning then?" Yeji asked them.

"Nope," another boy answered, "when we turned to this tunnel, we already saw the corpse. So we decided to call the police." 

"We stood here and waited for all of you to come." a different boy added. Yeji nodded. 

"Alright then. Did you get all their contact information" Yeji asked. Jisung and Daniel nodded. She signaled them to dismiss the group. 

"Okay. That's all the questions we have for you now. If we need further investigation, we will like your assistance." Daniel turned to them and stated. They all nodded and bidded goodbye. 

"Get to school safely!" Jisung stated but was hit in the head. 

"Ouch! What was that for?" Jisung yelped. 

"Today is Sunday," Daniel stated, Jisung gasped and smiled sheepishly. Yeji just chuckled slightly. 

"Any other discovery?" Yeji asked them. 

"As far as I know, not yet," Daniel explained. Tae ran up to them. 

"Tae?" Yeji asked. 

"There no weapons around or any sign of the vehicles," he informed her. 

"They must drive the corpse here with a truck or car and then leave with it." Rye sighed and glanced around to see if there is a camera. 

"There's no camera around here, if that what you're looking for," Tae reported. Rye shows a sign of appreciation to Tae. 

"Well...the only thing we have now is the corpse and a package that is missing," Jisung stated. 

"Let's head back. We need more information about the victim and their whereabouts before they were killed. Find me every person that the victim has contacted or is associated with." Yeji stated. 

"Roger!" all 4 men said, before running to the car. Yeji looked up at the sky, her thought went back to Rei. You better not be involved in this Rei. I swear to god if you are, I'm hunting you down.

"Don't worry too much." Gin (Takeshi) told Ai. 

"Eh?" she asked him, taking another bite.

"That Bourbon would be fine," Takeshi grumbled. AI coughed on her food and Takeshi quickly grabbed a cup of water for her. 

"Slow down on your bite." he reminded her. 

"Thanks," Ai stated, after calming herself down. 

"I know To--Bourbon would be fine, Vermouth has already stated it herself," Ai said. Takeshi had noticed the slip in name but decided to ignore it. 

"Then why are you so quiet?" Takeshi asked, taking another bite. 

"I'm just thinking about tomorrow's presentation," Ai explained. 

"It should go smoothly. Didn't Kir help you?" Takeshi asked. 

"She did! But you already know she had her own missions that you assigned along with Chianti." Ai told him. 

"Well....if you needed more hand I could call for Scotch, but I need him to guard a certain person these days." Takeshi added. 

"I'm fine really, oppa. Don't worry." Ai added. 

Takeshi just nodded. 

"Anyway, just you remembered, tomorrow..." Takeshi said. 

"You might be harsher and tenser than usual?" Ai teased. 

"Well...yeah. You know the drill." Takeshi stated. 

Ai just nodded and continued to eat. "This is delicious oppa, how did make the meat so moist all the time?" 

"That's a secret," Takeshi said, seeing Ai's mood lighten up a bit made him happy. 

Although they are step-siblings, Takeshi cared for Ai more than just a sister. He was always on the lookout for her and he knew she noticed it too but decided to ignore it. He believed there will be no one who could interfere between his special siblings' bonds. 

Well...if there is. He would do anything to eliminate that possibility. But for now, everything is in his control. He running this ship. And no one...NO ONE SHALL WRECK IT.

The next chapter will focus on more of the flashback between Yeji and Rei. But will also introduce us to the gang members.
