Chapter 3
The only reason Jungkook was staying with him, even though Jungkook literally had everything, was because he was trying everything to make Taehyung agree with what he had offered. Taehyung didn't want that offer because he didn't want to get in trouble. His life was already messed up, and he didn't want to make it even worse.
He knew what Jungkook's parents were capable of just to get rid of the mess in Jungkook's life. And it didn't mean in a good way because they would do something to those people who would be in a relationship with Jungkook.
“You know that if you think about it, what they want for you is not that much.” Taehyung uttered. “They just wanted you to get a life, Jungkook.” He told Jungkook.
“And I'm living my life.” Jungkook retorted, rolling his eyes.
“They wanted you to get married, Jungkook, not to mess around with random people.” Taehyung commented. “Besides, the person they paired with you isn't bad. She's basically compared to the goddess.” He said.
Jungkook didn't want marriage because he didn't want to be tied to a person he didn't even like. He was still young, and there were a lot of things he wanted to do on his own. And one of them is to make Taehyung follow him.
Taehyung was not exaggerating. It was known that Jungkook was reportedly dating Han Jiyeon. She was known for her beauty and kindness. She came from a wealthy family as well, which is why Jungkook's parents wanted him to marry her.
“Fuck, Taehyung, why do you need to bring that up?” Jungkook was obviously annoyed.
“That's not something you can run away from forever.” Taehyung pointed out.
“That's why I wanted you to pretend to be my lover so that they would stop bothering me!” Jungkook argued.
“I don't want to make my situation worse, Jungkook. Can't you see that?” Taehyung shot back.
“And I told you I can fix you!” Jungkook raised his tone.
“The only one who needs fixing is you. If you don't want to be married to the person your parents set you up with. Then you should look for the person you wanted.” Taehyung lectured Jungkook.
“Fuck, I didn't come here to be lectured by you!” Jungkook shouted. “Damn it!” He then leaves Taehyung's house and slams the door.
Taehyung sighed. Well, this kind of situation was nothing new for them. To be honest, it was somehow usual since Taehyung believed Jungkook would be better off with someone else. He couldn't understand why it had to be him, even though Jungkook literally could find someone who would accept that offer.
For now, he didn't want to deal with Jungkook since he had to take care of Hylie. He was sure Jungkook would cool off later. Jungkook has a way to calm himself down on his own. And Taehyung just remembered he had to go to his job. He should leave before he gets scolded by his manager.
