Sirius' new flirty attitude only made it more difficult for Aimee to resist finding him attractive, it wasn't rude flirty. It was comedic and she loved it. She knew now, she was falling for him more and more as the days went on, she wanted so desperately to tell him that she heard everything he told her.
Although a small part of her wanted him to tell her again, she made her way to the lake. The autumn air was perfect for reading outside with the brown leaves falling around her. She hoped it would clear her head a little, before returning home for the Christmas break.
Aimee sat down at the base of a tree, facing the lake, she loved when the sunlight shined through the tree. She spotted Regulus out of the corner of her eye, she didn't look up from her book as he was with Barty, he walked over to her, sitting beside her.
"Enjoying your last day?" he asked
"I have my book, and perfect weather, what more could I ask for," he chuckled at her, she reached into her pocket "do you want an m&m?"
"Throw it," he said, she held one in her hand aiming for his mouth, she missed hitting his cheek, "again,"
From afar, Sirius watched them, he should have been paying attention to James master plan. Remus nudged him to listen, he rolled his eyes at him, only catching a few words that were being said. He smiled as they appeared to be having fun, Regulus had always cared about Aimee ever since he met her.
"That all sounds great prongs, I have to see Reg about something," Sirius said, hurrying away.
"I bet he didn't listen to a word I said," he muttered, Peter nodded agreeing with him.
"Reg, I've thrown six already," she laughed, she smiled.
"Come just one more," she threw a seventh m&m he caught the final one a green one. "Yes! I told you I could get it,"
"Aimee! Give me one," Sirius said, she threw one to him, he caught it on his first try.
"Show off," Regulus muttered, Sirius smirked at him as he sat down on the other side of Aimee, laying his head down on her lap.
"Are you comfortable?" she questioned
"Yes, I am," he closed his eyes, Regulus nudged her, she glared at him,
"Somethings never change," Regulus said, "Anyone would think you're a couple," she pinched his arm.
"People can think what they want," he said, smiling up at her "I know what we are,"
As the time came to go home, Aimee's nerves got the best of her. She hated the thought of going home for Christmas, if her father didn't insist, she would have stayed at Hogwarts. Regulus promised that she would have a good time at home.
She waited for Regulus to board the train, she hoped to sit with him and Evan. She saw James and Peter, and where they were Sirius and Remus would surely follow closely behind. She smiled at them as she held her books against her chest.
"Aims," Sirius said, he walked over to her, "I was wondering if you wanted to come to the Christmas ball with me," she smiled at him, he had never invited her to the Christmas ball, in the four years she had known him.
"With you? Like together,"
"Erm yeah, I mean, if you want to, I mean we don't have to go together, we can just-
"Sirius, I'd love to go with you," Aimee said, he smiled at her as she board the train.
"That's it you've done it," James said, patting Sirius on the back
"Done what?" he questioned
"You've just asked out Aimee," Remus said
"Oh shit, I did," he realised that he had asked Aimee to go to the ball with him what surprised him more was that she said yes.

She had been home for a week, she hadn't told her father why she needed a new dress. Thomas watched his daughter look through every dress she owned, holding many different dresses up to her body in a mirror. She found one that would fit her now that she had grown up a bit more.
"Aimee, might I ask you why you're so concerned about how you look, at this ball?" he asked
"I'm just excited, that's all," her father cocked his brow at her, she looked around the corner, she closed the door, mumbling a silencing charm.
"I have a date, at least I think it's a date,"
"You do?" he questioned "Who with?"
"Sirius, he asked me out," she watched her father waiting for his reaction,
"Well, he's a decent boy, he's extremely rebellious according to Orion" Aimee nodded, agreeing with him "you really like him and his brother don't you,"
"Reg, is the best, I always wanted a little brother and I have one, with Reg" her father smiled at her, "I have a lot in common with Sirius, I feel like we were destined to meet each other,"
"You'll knock him dead," he smiled at her "I wouldn't mind if you did quite literally, you are my only daughter you know," she laughed
"You have nothing to worry about, I can take care of myself,"
"I know you can," he held her hand, "Have fun, I know it's been hard at home, lately, if you want, you can go live with your brothers or grandmother-
"Father, I don't want to leave-
"No, you don't want to leave Sirius and Regulus, you need to think about yourself too," she nodded
"I'll think about it,"
