We are playing the local woods, it is getting late and darkness is creeping in, my friends are nowhere to be seen. 

This is not unusual, it is all part of the fun, sneaking off and leaving one of us alone. 

Then from out of nowhere this old man appears, I am scared, and he looks confused as if he can't believe where he is. 

He soon recovers and with a friendly voice, he speaks my name and tells me not to worry, there is no need to be scared. 

I turn away, my mum is calling, and he's gone.
